Suns has some of the best donuts around. The service here is great. They have been around since I was kid. They have competitive prices. I go here when I'm in town. The only bad part about this place is the location. Just pulling off that main road and having to get back out is annoying at times so I won't stop. But other than that the shop alone is great. If it ain't Sun's chocolate bar donuts, ham & cheese croissants , or chocolate cake with sprinkles donut, I don't want it! In addition to simply being satisfying AF, Sun's chocolate bar donut is light and fluffy. There's nothing worse than a thick, heavy, and "bready" donut! I mean unless that's what your looking for. Chocolate cake sprinkles donut, is damn good! A bit of a crispy exterior and It's never too sweet which is a plus for me. They are not too dense and somewhat crumbly; another plus for me! I love how this particular donut is more compact in size in comparison to other "round" donuts. So because of that, I psychologically feel that I can get away with eating two instead of 1! Sounds a bit self destructive but I figure it's ok once in a while Don't get me started on the warmed ham & cheese croissants ! BIG and fluffy and simple and savory and ooey gooey cheesy and just down right delectable! One croissant is enough to hold me over for hours. You could probably split one in half and share but would you really want to? I always mean to try so many other donuts offered at Sun's but I end up with my epic tried and true's! Flavor -The bakery cream ("cream filled") is fluffy and tastes great, not too sweet. -Same goes for the custard ("Boston Cream" or "custard filled")...most bakeries put too much lard and sugar in their fillings, but I feel like Sun's are "just right". -Jelly fillings seem to be made from real fruit! The raspberry filling has ground seeds. I went in to buy coffee and there was one pot there with a little bit (like 1/4) left. I started to pour it in a cup and the man that works there said he'll make me a fresh pot of coffee. So I was like okay so I tossed my old cup in the trash. Because the coffee to me smelled burnt and I don't like to drink any drinks that have been sitting. The chinese woman (who I assume owns the donut shop) walked over to me ask asked me all rude; "what happened to your cup?" My response was "I tossed it cause it smelled like burnt coffee to me." When the coffee got done she POURED THE FRESH COFFEE INTO THE OLD COFFEE instead of letting me just pour my cup from the fresh pot. (done on purpose). I proceeded to tell her; "I have a issue with drinking drinks that have been sitting and I let you know that the coffee smelled burnt to me." and she said that it was just 15 mins old. But my point was I was waiting for the new fresh pot of coffee the guy working there was making me. I personally think it's all over because I tossed that cup. Plus just because to me the coffee smelled burnt doesn't mean it was. That's just me. But I could have done without the RUDE BEHAVIOR. I will not be coming back. This upset me. read more

Now I see why this place has a pretty good rating. The donuts that I tried, even though they were not my preference, it tasted good. I had a blueberry cake donut and a lemon jelly filled donut. Both were soft, almost melt in your mouth type of texture. The glaze on the lemon jelly filled donut was great. It didn't flake and the sweetness was just right. The establishment itself is pretty small and the parking was small also as it was shared with a laundromat next door and some other small businesses. The staff there was also nice.
