This place deserves 10 stars. Excellent food, very nice staff. This is my #1 place to go to for Mexican food in Yuba City. Yep it's that good! The prices are awesome. $5 for a torta or a burrito large enough to share or if you are feeling selfish save later for your self . Tacos are to die for!!! Seafood dishes are awesome as well. Is there anything on their menu I haven't tried? I think not! There are times I have eaten here 2-3 times a week lol. Oh FYI the chips and salsa are bomb!! Would recommend!!!! read more

El Jalisciense Review We decided to give El Jalisciense a try, and we're so glad we did! We ordered the tripa and al pastor tacos, an asada burrito, botana a la cora, and a pineapple agua fresca. The shrimp in the botana were big and flavorful, although the dish was a little salty for our taste. The tacos were actually really good--full of flavor and well-seasoned. We were also surprised by how big the burrito was for the price; definitely a great value! The pineapple agua fresca was perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, which we really appreciated. We also loved the large cups of water, a small detail that makes a difference! The customer service was very friendly and attentive, and we're definitely looking forward to coming back to try more items from the menu. Overall, this is a great Mexican restaurant! The only thing keeping it from a 5/5 for us would be a salsa bar--having different salsas to choose from would make the experience even better! read more

Amazing quesabirria! The pastor was really good too, spicy but not so much that you couldn't taste the food. A nice smoky flavor. We had 5 pastor street tacos, a pastor super burrito, a single quesabirria taco with the most delicious broth for dipping. We didn't take pics, ate it up too fast! read more

This place has a large menu of traditional Mexican dishes. Very tasty, and reasonable prices. Portions aren't crazy, but they're enough. Ample free parking. Service is friendly and efficient. Feels plenty authentic, but it could use a salsa bar. read more

Quick and easy. Had a free chips and salsa for checking in. Had the asada and pastor tacos. Finally shrimp empanadas. Was a bit more expensive than I expected, but had a beer and it's Cali. The best mexican food in town! We always enjoy our food at this restaurant, and it's our favorite place to go when we are craving for a flavorful and authentic meal. I really LOVE their shrimp tacos along with their Quesabrirra! Their sope and tacos are amazing as well. Their prices are very reasonable. The staff are so kind and sweet. There's always a smile from the front staff when I walk through the restaurant door, and that's a really nice welcome feeling. The restaurant is a bit small, but the ambiance is good. It's often quiet. Most times, traffic isn't busy, and I enjoy it because I get to enjoy my dinner in a peaceful atmosphere. Came on a Friday night not knowing what to expect but I could see it was a popular place because local families kept going through the door. This place was recommended by some local friends and they recommended the camarones a la kora (#1 shrimp dish). This dish did not disappoint. They give you the option to have the shrimp with or without the shell and I opted for with shell for more flavor. This dish was extremely flavorful and tangy/limey with a kick. The shrimp were very fresh and huge! Definitely recommend sharing this plate. We also ordered the carnitas and Al pastor tacos. Both meats were melt in your mouth and deliciously seasoned. I was extremely impressed with the food here and can't wait to come back and try more! read more

This place is a hidden gem. Food is great and there's plenty of space to sit. The service is not the greatest but it's definitely not bad by any means. The thing that makes this place stand out is the food and the flavors. They have some of the best seafood and standard Mexican dishes. I ordered 2 tostada mixtas and they were the best I've ever had. They have so much seafood on them including shrimp, octopus, crab, and fish ceviche. I also ordered the half order of shrimp empanadas which came out so hot and fresh. The 2 sauces they are served with are excellent. My son got a asada quesadilla and he enjoyed it as well. Would def recommend if you want real authentic flavors. read more

This spot is in between work and home and I am so grateful. Friendly and helpful staff and nice indoor and outdoor dining. You order and pay first, then recieve your food. This place has a ton of seafood options that a full of flavor. We got the shrimp and octopus cocktail, ceviche tostada, half shell oysters, and everything was fresh, beautiful and delicious. I sat outside because I had my dogs with me, and we were served with large cups of icewater and their amazing pico de gallo salsa with chips. The food is pretty good except they have absolutely no business ethics at all. The girl at the cash register that handles money, was pouring me my drink and touched the ice with her long fingers as she was pouring the ice in. No gloves, hadn't washed her hands after handling money either it was pretty gross. Then, they forgot to start making my order and after 20 minutes I had to go remind them about it and not to mention my tacos were soaked in red Salsa. It was like they were wearing a blind fold while making the tacos and just dumped salsa on the tacos, with like 3 flakes on cilantro and onions and barely any meet... my taco might as have been tortilla and salsa. The only reason I'm giving them 3 starts is because the mixta tostada was pretty good and their tripa tacos are pretty good too. This place would be a lot better is they have business ethics as far as hygiene, customer service and attention to their food. read more

The aguachiles are some of my favorites, they're always so lemony and spicy, perfect flavor. Their shrimp empanadas are bomb and the sauces that come with them are too. The food is incredible. We had the camarones y pulpo al la kora, carnitas quesadilla, and a carne asada burrito. Everything was REALLY good. The best carnitas I have had in years. When you ask for hot (spicy) they will deliver (YEAH for not being scared to make me sweat). The portion sizes were great, the burrito was huge. Be careful not to over order. The only deduction is because the chips could have been crispier, they seemed a bit cold/stale. More warming would have cured this problem. The service was great. ..Authentic mexican tacos....the place is relaxed with a jukebox in the back with Latin songs. We order the tacos every time...very inexpensive but so filling and delicious....the service is fast. They have been there for 5 years....ony thing missing is margarita's..but for you beer drinkers...they have you covered. The salsa is different than any other I've tasted...it has seafood in with it....so yummy. We love seafood. I'm sure you can ask for regular salsa. Kid friendly too. Today I saw a huge bowl of soup with large crab legs and other seafood items. The waitress said it's called the Seven Seas....I will def try that next time we go. Check it out. The best tacos ever. When I'm having a bad day, or a hangover day for that matter, I come here. I get 3-4 asada tacos (they're little) with everything. Each taco has two small tortillas, meat, onions, cilantro and salsa. There's not a bunch of other crap in it polluting up my taco. It's just taco-y goodness. Now this place is a hole in the wall - complete with telenovelas (mexican soap operas) in the background. Not really a 'sit down meal' atmoshpere. So I usually grab mine to go. About a 3 1/2 star, I rounded up. It was late, we were driving through town. They didn't want to let us eat outside on their picnic tables because "we don't have a trash can out there." Well, we sat there anyway and bussed our own table. The food came fairly quickly. Some tacos and a nachos. The nachos were weak. Loaded with nacho sauce and American cheese. The meat (Asada) had so much hot sauce it was blazing and too wet. The street tacos were good. If I ate there again, I'd just get tacos.... but there are so many taquerias in Yuba City / Marysville... I'll try a different one. read more
