I do wish that it had more onions and cilantros, but that is definitely a personal preference and something you could probably ask. The owner did great at taking our order and bringing out food in about 15 minutes on short notice. He packed plenty of sauces and gave each of us a serving a beans (at no charge). He also packed plenty of sauces and the red sauce definitely packs some heat so be aware of that. Don't be discouraged from coming here because of the location. And notes were minded (I asked for one cooked extra crispy), and the other taco we added mozzarella. Unfortunately they did not add much and they put it directly on the taco and it did not satisfy. Also ordered a beef fajita torta - the bread was good- toasted nicely but the tomato started to make the corners soggy and wet. The taste of the whole sandwich was very good. Then we ordered 2 quesadillas - one chicken and one beef fajita. Unfortunately they were not satisfying. The cheese pull was non-existent. They didn't put enough cheese!! That's a BIG no-no. It's a quesadilla. You get a quesadilla for the cheese. On top of that, both meats (chicken and beef fajita) were dry and over-cooked. Unsatisfying! And they're not cheap. $9 for a large quesadilla. While they may advertise a number of items on their outside menu such as machetes, aguas frescas, tacos dorados, and breakfast tacos, all are subject to limited availability. When in doubt, shoot for their standard tacos with the following meats: fajita, pollo, tripa, lengua, pastor, barbacoa, and chicharron. They range from $2.50-$3.00 each and is cash only. The food was somewhat of a letdown for a number of reasons: :: The cilantro had so many stems in it that every bite had an extra crunch to it. It almost reminded me of eating crunchy bits in a salad, which in taco terms is not preferred on this end. :: The barbacoa was tender and juicy, which in most cases is good but it soaked the tortillas so much that they fell apart too easily. This makes for a messy taco bite. :: Chicharron didn't' fare much better, except I wasn't particularly jazzed about their marinade or the fact it was very chunky without much fat. A big part of quality chicharron is texture and it just wasn't there for this one. :: Fajita is a Houston (#2) taco meat staple and it was extremely dry. A little lime and salsa can help immensely, but their jalapeño + green chile based salsa verde wasn't hittin' as much as I would have liked. They weren't the most friendly during any of my visits and were somewhat annoyed when I'd ask about which meats were available and why the prices aren't listed on the truck (#3) . I was impressed with the quality of the fajita, campechano, and cochinita pibil, but felt they were a tinge too skimpy with the portions. At least their jalapeño based salsa verde added a nice kick on every bite. Similarly to other carts, the prices aren't listed out. While the staff mainly speaks Spanish, it is worth asking about each item before ordering.
