We were treated to Mexican delights on a Saturday night with my mom and her significant other, and it was as good as I remembered. The menu is limited (it always was) but the space is a bit brighter and cheerier. No more dingy booths, now it's all tables. There is waitress service and you get chips and warm, VERY spicy salsa roja and a delightful salsa verde. We were also issued a bowl of some freakin' fantastic guacamole, which was complimentary but I'm not sure why. :) We ordered tacos (I got al pastor and steak), flautas, and the man-friend got a burrito that was enormous. You can get rice & beans as a side if you like, though it's not on the wall menu. If there's something you want, just ask -- they probably have it or can make it. The meat is super-tender, everything is fresh and tasty -- my only small disappointment was the refried beans, which didn't strike me as all that great. But no matter -- we devoured everything else. Since it was my mom's treat, we didn't pay, but I know the prices are low and the food is some of the best Mexican in town. Which actually is saying something, believe it or not. P.S.
