Looking for clean, fresh, authentic, affordable Mexican food, go here!…read more No processed beans here. Their Charro beans are the real thing! And their elote, omg... i haven't had any that good since Mexico! These 4 toastadas our 8 flautas we're $6.99. Did someone say, "Dessert?" Ummm... they flan is, literally to DIE for!! The only down side: The lady working there doesn't speak English, parking is limited and no cocktails but the food is EXCELLENT and worth the visit. You gotta eat it to believe it. I would suggest carry out, mostly so you can pig out in privacy.

The girls are the front taking the orders are extremely kind. They speak both English and Spanish, and explain any of the dishes if needed. The food came out very quickly. My partner and I ordered the chicken that comes with rice, beans, and tortillas. You can either order the one that comes with 5 pieces, or the one with 10 pieces of chicken. The 5 piece was enough for one person. We also ordered the steak flautas that comes with avocado and lettuce. Everything looked delicious, but the chicken was a little dry. It seems like the chicken is all prepared earlier and warmed up, so it was not as juicy as we would have liked. Inside of the flautas were also a bit dry. The rice was good, but I was not a big fan of the beans because they were salty. We also ordered the large pineapple drink, which was perfect for such a hot day.

How does that happen when you know you have an event like this on a Saturday? We ordered the chips and guacamole, which was a mistake. The chips were way too thick and were stale. The guacamole was bland. I am used to garlic and lime in guacamole and this had none.

Forgive me if I stumble upon the exact names - the chicken asada, avocado and cambia stuck in my head and upon completion I asked for my total - $25. & change. Seemed kinda pricey and when I got inside my mind was partially absorbed by the cool surf decor and the woman writing checks at the counter who barely raised a brow to my presence. An older fella was in the back preparing - it was Tuesday at noon, a table of clucking hens outside, myself and two additional workers inside. Both visually unhappy bloated people that had an unpleasant stare and aura. My food was doing upon the counter in such a uncared for way that I thought to myself "this can't possibly be mine", it was. On the bright side of matters, the tacos were dense with the assigned ingredients, heavy chicken, fish and avocado to be sure. And remember three stars isn't a bad review, but there was a few things about the place I just didn't like. Walking in, my hopes were high as the building and ramp entrance was adorable, as mentioned, I really liked the interior design - but I must report the lowest grades for staffing - asking for a implement for hot sauce was not easy and seamless - it's a downer feel to what could be and should be good vibrations.

The waitress brought chips, salsa, menus and took out drink menus. I ordered the Tortilla Soup ($5.99) and my husband ordered the Lunch Special #4 ($5.99) which is Chicken Enchilada Mexicana, Chico Chicken Burrito with Fiesta Rice. The soup was good, filled with tons of chicken with tortillas and topped with cheese and avocado. The Chicken Enchilada Mexicana had chicken inside with a mole sauce on it. I don't care for mole but this one was the best I've had. You could taste the complexity! The Chico Chicken Burrito is a smaller (though, still good size burrito). The Chico Chicken Burrito and Fiesta Rice were both ok for me, though, my husband liked them. Food was more authentic and good. Serving sizes were large and filling. Value (price per serving) is excellent. Service was good.

Orders messed up multiple times None of the plates brought out to table landed at the right person. Draft beer ordered came out in bottles. Soda - a few orders - came out flat. Food was marginal: None of the first batch of fries came out warm. 6 plates. The replacement fries sent out later were fried to desiccation. Smash burgers were good. Philly pork sandwich was on point too. Mussels tasted like ammonia. But we were advised by the.sharp talking manager they were "fresh" (not old as I, a 40 year fisherman suggested). She gleamed when she stated she took them off the bill. (? Ok. Thanks?) And said she'd talk to her supplier. Sorry folks. If you have the food in your custody it's on you if you if you choose to serve food that's spoiled. Not recommended. As locals we try to keep in palmetto. But these guys all seemed more interested in getting us out so they could go home. Changed from an angry * to ** as my lovely wife reminded me the burgers were good. And the $7 beers in bottle - not flat.

The only thing was that all the food was old, there was no bread available and most of the choices were no longer being replenished. But we still paid the same as everyone else. I do not have a problem with the lack of options and the older food at the end of the buffet but i believe if I will not get the same quality as the earlier people and the options they should lower the price for the scraps squad. I don't think this is a place I would recommend
