We all stopped in for a bite and a beer. It's been a while and wanted to give the place another chance. Last time it was mediocre fried food. This time : 8 of us arrived at 8pm. Orders messed up multiple times None of the plates brought out to table landed at the right person. Draft beer ordered came out in bottles. Soda - a few orders - came out flat. Food was marginal: None of the first batch of fries came out warm. 6 plates. The replacement fries sent out later were fried to desiccation. Smash burgers were good. Philly pork sandwich was on point too. Mussels tasted like ammonia. But we were advised by the.sharp talking manager they were "fresh" (not old as I, a 40 year fisherman suggested). She gleamed when she stated she took them off the bill. (? Ok. Thanks?) And said she'd talk to her supplier. Sorry folks. If you have the food in your custody it's on you if you if you choose to serve food that's spoiled. Not recommended. As locals we try to keep in palmetto. But these guys all seemed more interested in getting us out so they could go home. Changed from an angry * to ** as my lovely wife reminded me the burgers were good. Theres plenty parking. We got here a little late and almost at the ending time of the buffet. The staff was friendly and got us a table right away. The only thing was that all the food was old, there was no bread available and most of the choices were no longer being replenished. But we still paid the same as everyone else. I do not have a problem with the lack of options and the older food at the end of the buffet but i believe if I will not get the same quality as the earlier people and the options they should lower the price for the scraps squad. Was in town visiting a relative and they recommended Mila's. They have indoor and outdoor dining. It was a beautiful day and sat outside over looking the marina. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. The three of us all order three chop chop salads. It was made with chopped turkey, ham and Swiss cheese. I did feel they could have added more protein. Pretty good! Solid lunch spot if you want to be on the marina. We sat outside under the tent. Great weather and not too hot in the shade. I was part of a large group and our waitress did a great job getting everything out. Order the fried chicken sandwich with fries, added bacon and cheese. Sandwich was good but nothing incredible. If you are on budget and want to eat a lot, this is the buffet place for you! If you are expecting a delicious buffet, you will be disappointed. Most of the food was mediocre. The chicken tenders were decent as were the biscuits and gravy. The eggs were less than desirable. Little flavor. Didn't love the sausage or bacon. Overdone or tough. The waffle was okay. Some of the handles were sticky as well. But you almost expect that from a casual buffet. If I had a college kid, I'd take them there. The price is amazing. read more

Mila's has changed ownership and is now called I'Looney's. We had lunch there today, and our meals were mediocre. I had the Fish Sandwich with seared mahi. The brioche bun, remoulade sauce, tomato, and lettuce were delicious. However, the fish seemed to have been pounded into a flat, dry, tough, steak-like thing and had no seasoning whatsoever. Very bland. Also, my fries seemed old; they were somewhat limp and chewy. My husband had the Philly Cheesesteak with mushrooms, which he said was so-so. On top of all that, our server was glum. Since the new owners have taken completely over, the food is simply amazing!! The overall quality of the food has improved significantly. Mother's Day brunch was a disappointment. Based on Mila's menu found online, about a third of the food items were not available, selection was limited. Drinks were an extra charge. Food quality was ok. If it weren't for the marina, we could have been in a church gymnasium serving ourselves brunch. Expensive for what was available. The tacos had plenty of shrimp that were nicely cooked. The flavor was perfect. I had the green beans as my side. They were over cooked, which I like, and they tasted delicious. Very nice atmosphere here. It can be confusing, as you walk in one entrance which has the daily specials and as you go in : here's the bar and a bunch of tables. It's outdoors, it's open and it's airy. Very nice area. Problem is, I dropped my group off by the front door where I went to search for parking which is rather limited by the fact that there are other businesses in the area that share parking. So I walked in this opening and they're not there??? I go through a door which is in a kind of a remote glass area and there's a handful of tables there indoors , but still no family? I was confused , I went out the far door and now I'm outside again and way down the walkway is another seating area which is still owned by this restaurant. My group was there. Very strange. But I was told that the entrance here, was an area which appeared to them was to be the main area to go in from parking but no signs. Odd, indeed. It had a nice view of the marina along with a bunch of boats parked there in this long walkway that lead out to a restaurant which was on this pier on the water quite a ways out. I noticed occasionally a large 8 door, eight seat golf course would go back and forth from that restaurant all the way back to near where our opening was. No idea that what that was originating from ? Possibly , the parking lot. So anyway, I had the fish sandwich which was blackened mahi-mahi, a little bit bland, but had remoulade sauce which covered up the blandness. Did not have a side , I had the house salad instead which was kind of sparse and small, but did have a good balsamic vinaigrette on it. Someone else had a grouper sandwich and proclaimed it good along with the fries being good. Third person had the shrimp tacos but didn't eat much. However she never eats much to begin with, but she proclaimed ok. Service was kind of blah, as the waitress seemed disinclined to provide great effort. And at one point since we are there on a weekday and it was probably about 1 o'clock it was busy, then it became empty as it reached 2 o clock and we felt isolated all the way on the end as there was nobody else in that dining area except us and it took forever for anybody to show up with the check . So, I went looking for the waitress and she said I was gonna come with your check. I was disappointed but then she explained she had a foot injury and her foot was hurting and I did feel sorry for her, but I just feel like she didn't want to put forth much effort, so that was reflected in the tip. In conclusion, I would say the food was nothing spectacular, just average. This place is all about the view of the water and the proximity to the marina. And not 100% sure that I would return. I think their problem is they have multiple entrances and there's some signage at one but nothing at the other, which I verified by looking at. I also think they may have an issue with their wait staff, probably understaffed. And again, their food just seemed average or slightly above average. Nice place, but I feel like they could be focused on the customer a little more, and are missing out on lost opportunities . 2.5 stars. Id venture probably three stars on a real good day. read more

Stopped here for the 1st and have the wings special. They were excellent and happy beer made it even better. I was at the outside bar Shawn or Shane was an excellent bartender. I had only lived in the area just over a year around the corner and started coming to Milas where my hunnie has a bass boat we take out more than we are home. The bartender Jay has made Milas such a special place for us. His service, expertise and sweet smile has kept us coming back. The food is delicious and the ambiance makes it all tied into a perfect stop for a break out on the water. I highly recommend stopping by even if you are just traveling through. We are locals, always have good, reasonably priced meals here and would say have been here at least 10 times in 12 months always pleased. Mila's is a bit of a go to place for us. We do our best to support local, independent businesses and Mila's is on our go to list. Sorry, not tonight. The bartended/server greeted us and knew us from previous time here. He brought us water, menus and said he would be back to take our order. What he did not say was when he would be back which was never. We watched and tried to get his attention as he and another bartender served a not busy or crowded bar. He poured a few drinks, chatted with people, closed out checks, fiddled with the televisions, walked back and forth to the building several times but he was oblivious to us waiting 20 minutes to order. If Mila's was busy or packed we would have understood. There was only one other table of Four. What would you do? We left our waters and walked out disappointed and annoyed. It's a nice location views of the marina and the water. Outside seating has overhead fans to move air around but it's still warm outside. Nice looking menu the shrimp soup was very good as was the shrimp and grits. The slider/ chicken wing combo left something to be desired. The burgers were over done and the servers answer "well it's hard to cook sliders right"? The jumbo wings were done good but jumbo is a stretch. Service was not up to par at all and it was not that busy outside. Guess the table of 8 knocking back numerous drinks was more of a tip generator then just 2? Also you shouldn't have to wait 10+ minutes for your check and hunt down the server. Nice location some of the food was good but lack of true service can be a deal breaker. read more
