Great fresh Mexican style food at a decent price. Like a better chipotle. Burritos were really good, even the kids burrito was large.

Food is wonderful, but there is always a different staff when I pick up my order and they are always rude / unwelcoming. They have zero ounce of manners and I have to direct the conversation. Went in to grab a quick bite. I ate at a Poppo's once before and honestly was not impressed. However this time my wife and I ordered 2 of the bee sting burritos with a side of guac and made it a meal with the chips and drink. First off, the fact they take the fresh dough, flatten and cook it to order is awesome. Same with the chips. Burrito was very tasty, the pineapple habanero salsa was great, spicy and sweet. The guac was on point. Decor is kinda beachy Florida rustic. Would go again. Not the best Mexican food but certainly a step up from a Chipotle. read more

I needed a small bite to satiate my hangriness since Mitaka Ramen next door was in their in between 3 and 5 pm break and I had a half hour to spend. I asked for a tempeh taco with honey-lime cabbage and seasonal greens which consisted of arugula on my visit. You get two cold toppings of your choice on your taco, a sauce, and shredded cheese besides the jack cheese they place on your corn tortilla before they warm it on the griddle. I did the mild chimichurri aioli. Holy Guacka-moley! I was impressed by the taste and quality of all the ingredients! I definitely got value for my purchase and will look forward to choosing Poppo's over other fast Mexican inspired food restaurants any time I can. read more

Good food and service. A nice change to chipotle or moes. I am from the north & we do not have a Poppo's anywhere near. My only complaint is it is a bit pricy. Around $40 for both my husband and I to get a bowl, 1 order of chips and a single soft drink. The spicy beef is really good and you must get an order of chips, which are served hot to order! This place was killer!!!! Mouth quenching drinks and the food was LEGIT! No question, I would definitely come back! I split a chicken quesadilla with my bf, we ate it there, and it perfectly satiated both of us with the generous portion given. The chicken was marinated and was super soft, juicy and full of flavor. All of the ingredients we chose for the quesadilla came together and all complemented each other with the chicken. This place is simple, healthy, excellently sourced, wonderful place to get an amazing, affordable and delicious meal! We'll be back and I hope you'll check it out too! PS. I'm definitely a fan of Poppo's. I grew up in the area and any time I am back in town visiting family, I usually stop at Poppo's *several* times. My family thinks I'm obsessed, but I just stock up while I'm there because I know I won't be able to get it very often. Honestly, it's great to have a local option that's clean ingredients and delicious food. Obviously, you can make something healthy with all the options that are there, but there's the same amount of opportunity for digging in to all their chips, the quesadilla (which is a bit greasy, but delicious), etc. I love their guac too! I usually change up my order but mostly stick to the chicken and the carnitas - both really tasty and flavorful. Since Covid I've been just placing my order before I go and running in to pick it up. This helps avoid the lines but also ensure I'm only inside for a short bit. I tend to stop at odd hours, but I don't usually see it super busy inside. Whatever you choose! I'd highly recommend Poppo's (whichever location you're near)! Definitely try their homemade chips. read more

Man has this place fallen off. I used to eat here weekly as a healthy and tasty option but in the last 6-months or so its been nothing short of terrible. The prices are through the roof, plan on $20 for a bowl and a drink aka double what a Chipotle visit would cost you. The food is definitely a higher quality, but they are ALWAYS out of something, and you usually don't find out about it until you are halfway through your order and they start with the "uh, we don't have that right now...." Last night I should have known immediately to leave when my order started with "we only have brown rice right now." I got to the end of the line only to find out they were out of the sauces that make the food actually taste like something. I should have bailed on the order but I was starving. It's not hard, put up a sign at the beginning of the line when you are out of certain items instead of pissing off your customers with surprises. Recently I arrived to a line of 8 people, but empty seating inside. I waited in line for almost 30-minutes and when I get to the counter I'm told "uh, we're out of meat bro...." Out of meat? Yup, out of EVERY meat option. So I could have rice and beans with toppings if I wanted or wait at least an hour for more meat. It was 6:30 PM on a Wednesday, NOT closing time. Pretty upset about my wasted time I left and got 5 Guys next door. However, I did e-mail the owners to ask what was going on at that location and never received any kind of response. Your time and money are best spent elsewhere for now. read more

Small taco and burrito place a lot like Chipotle. Overhead menu does not show prices so when out lunch of 2 tacos, a small salad with chips turned out to be $25 we were surprised. Very good food ! Better tasting than Chipotle in our opinion. The soft tacos, burritos and chips are all made fresh to order, really nice touch. We tried the Ancho Chili Chicken, the Spicy Beef, and the Shredded Pork ( Carnitas ). They where all flavorful and delicious. The Spicy beef does have a spicy kick to it but not a burn. I would definitely recommend trying Poppo's if you like Chipotle but want better taste and quality with a nice Taqueria ambiance. read more

Staff working at 7pm on 5/18/22. This was the most cold, uninviting atmosphere and experience I've had. I use yelp all the time for recommendations and ideas for where to eat. Yet, this is the first review I've ever left and I'm leaving it because of how poor my service was. I ordered my food with no initial explanation of how to order and when I asked for help, all I got was single word answers. Very cold response. When I paid, I asked for a side of salsa (as this was not an option offered to me) I was asked what kind do I want instead of being given choices. I was only given 2 options and I don't even know if there was others, I felt like I was an inconvenience for even asking. I haven't even tried the food yet but it bothered me enough to write this on my way back to our vacation rental. I will not return to this restaurant, I would rather drive the extra couple miles to the next local Hispanic restaurant. I wish I knew his name but I don't...The employee with the hat, tats,earrings and the "I don't give a shit about you" attitude is the reason why this will be my first and last visit to this place. read more
