    Al pastor tacos - undressed
    Brian V.

The name of the game here is the al pastor. Some of the best I've had in the city and arguably the best. I was on a taco kick and I heard this place was known for their al pastor, so I just went straight for the al pastor in taco form and that's it. So good! Perfectly seasoned and well sliced. I was excited to get them and then dress them up at the self service salsa bar. I have to agree - when it comes to the al pastor, I would say it's as good as it gets here. The vibe here is fun. It felt like I was invited to the neighborhood cook out at a very buys intersection. Which leads to one of the - if not only - cons of the location. It's busy around here. The place sets up in an auto shop parking lot. And it's really busy all around. I had to circle the block before giving up on finding street parking and just went into the lot. Luckily, there was a kind lady pointing out and guiding me into a parking spot.

my friend recommended this spot in LA. this is a taco truck in the heart of los angeles, and they offer a diverse Mexican menu. i ordered 4 suadero tacos, with everything on it. the spice level is above high, so be cautious with your hot sauce i would also recommend this taco truck; we took our food to go, since we ain't see much seating this time around, but the food was generous with portions and the quality was elite with every bite

Is a lot of tacos in Los Angeles and you can find good and bad ones, is a special ramification of this huge spectrum of tacos, this ones are called drunk tacos, where you go after having some alcoholic beverage. I think this are some solid 10/10

A regular on the "Top Al Pastor" lists for LA, I've had Los Guichos bookmarked for years and finally forced our way here by making a slight detour. It's conveniently located right off the 10, we parked inside near the tire shop though there are lots of "no parking" signs it seemed OK and lots of people just pulled up and parked right next to the truck. Compared to typical Al Pastor the unique attributes here are: -A smokier charred flavor thanks to an overactive burner, tasted great and is surprisingly mild in smokiness and not dry. -More noticeable heat, if you like spicy its not as sweet as normal Al Pastor and has a pleasant hit of heat. Al Pastor tacos and burritos were OK, my order came with way less onion and cilantro than I like but the meat and tortillas were decent. There is salsa outside the truck in squeeze bottles and limes and radish in open containers, there were flies buzzing around the limes and radish and I risked it by grabbing some lines. Not sure why it's so beloved, there are plenty of other places with better Al Pastor, could have been better based on the high accolades.

Amazing tacos and burritos at this spot. DO NOT COME HERE if you are from a higher end area and are not used to rubbing elbows with homies, cholos, and other locals. These are amazing cholo tacos. Coming here you have two guarantees.... drum roll.... you will chill with the homies and you will eat amazing tacos and burritos. My kids absolutely love this place. Leave your gat at home, bring loads of cash because burritos are not $5 dollars anymore, Holmes. You need to adjust for post-covid inflation. Good food is really really expensive. Hope you enjoy it. Highly recommended. Jordan

I rate this taco truck 5+ stars, I've been craving a bomb carne asada burrito with everything in it. The rice beans, onions and cilantro. burrito, it did not disappoint. So juicy and delicious.

Listen to Tio y Tia. When we say this place is legit, this place is legit. We've told countless of our gringo friends to try this place, have any of them gone? Oh no. It's too sketch, they say. It's in a bad neighborhood, they say. They never been to Juarez. For us....Tire Shop Tacos, that's what we call it....is THE best pastor north of La Frontera. To be honest, it gives GDL and CDMX a run for the money. Pastor and Churros, that's where it's at. We come here after every game and it is always jumping. Here's the deal. Anytime after dark and you are good to go. Pull into the parking lot, pay attention to the security guard, he is packing and he is there to keep it chill. Weekend nights they have the churros. Tip the candy abuela, and get in line. It moves quick, don't mess around with anything but the pastor. They take cash and card, price is fair. Load up whatever you want with it, cilantro and onions, the green salsa goes well with the pastor. Would not advise any of the salsas with the churros, you are welcome to try, but maybe don't let anyone see you. You can stand with everyone and eat, you will have new friends by your second taco. You can pop the trunk of your car and eat there. For the love of all that is holy, please do not sit in your car and eat. That's not how to fit in. Of course, if anyone in your group can't stand for long, then sit in your car. Just saying that you want to eat these standing up, slightly bent over so nothing gets on your shirt. Because they are that good. Buen provecho!

I love the Cabeza tortilla and 3 is the perfect number of tacos for me as they are pretty generous with the meat and avocado sauce. Been here twice and both times because we were going to a show at the Forum which is just a short drive away. It gets pretty busy around dinner time so expect a long wait as the line moves pretty slowly (everything is made/ cooked fresh!)... but the wait is 100% worth it. Just make sure you order enough the first time so you dont have to wait in line again. There is some parking but it gets pretty crowded too so you might have to street park (and the area around can get a little sketch) so be careful. The second time we came here was almost 1130pm right before their midnight closing. This time, the parking lot was emptier so we managed to park inside. There was still a pretty steady stream of customers even around closing, but at least the line isn't ridiculously long. Can't go wrong with anything you order here!

I got the carne asada tacos, al pastor tacos, and a mulitas. My favorite was definitely the mulitas because I love cheese! Today I was driving North on San Pedro to run work errands, not even thinking of bbq. But then it hit me, the smell and smoke through my window and I turned left to see the pop-up! Corner of 15th & San Pedro, set up is across the street from the LA Face mart. If you get near by I am sure you will see it or smell it:) Swung by after my lunch time errands, excited to get me some briskets again. But not today... Only the ribs, hot links, chicken were available this day. No worries, went for the $10 hot links to try something different. The hot links were good, the inside texture was smooth, don't think I've had this kind before. It definitely has kick, and definitely need to eat with bread. For my weak taste buds, it was too spicy and it literally took a lot of sweat, but ate it all up since still addicting. Been about 10 mins since I cleaned up, but I am still kinda perspiring, lol. I think for me personally, the hot links is 3 stars, since I can't enjoy as much while pouring sweat from my head. But then I'm weak (I pour sweat eating the mild green salsa from King Taco for reference). If you can handle the heat, I think it would be a 4. Hot links seem like a good item to get for the $5 sandwich. But then not sure if you get that crack potato salad! Will be on the lookout next time to see if they have briskets.
