Avenue 26 has a cult following, and I'm happy to announce I am part of the cult now. I really appreciate that they're open 24/7 every day, so I can visit any hour I'm craving tacos in LA. The first time I went on a weekday in the middle of the day, so it was super empty and not the best because nothing was being made fresh- the meats and potatoes were kind of just sitting in bins so although the flavor was there, the cooled down temperatures really affected the taste. HOWEVER, I visited a few more times after that, these times all late at night, which really turned my experience around. I think at those times there were a lot more people and long lines, so everything was being made fresh and it being hot just made the food taste so so much better. I love how the toppings are all self-serve, and the hot potato is my favorite side. Carne asada, lengua, and al pastor are my go-tos. You'll want to add hellaaa green sauce to everything- I could literally drink that stuff straight. Love the big easy parking lot here, I'll mention that I saw a few security people checking all the cars and plates so I wouldn't recommend trying to park here and walk somewhere else!

First time for parking lot tacos for me! I was feeling a bit peckish but didn't want to eat too much, so Yelpers, thank you for leading me here! I was able to snag two tacos for $4.50 that tided me over until dinner time. Now: bring your car because there's no place to sit! I arrived on foot, so dined standing up. Quite a variety of means - I'm a "safe" eater and enjoyed pollo and asada. I loved the self-serve salsas; the green salsa was delish and had a good little kick to it. Happy to have found this spot, and want to come back! 2026: 32/100

Amazing tacos. Absolutely delicious. The taco chefs gave great recommendations too. All the flavors were on point. My favorite was the brisket. It was so tender and juicy! On another note, I'd skip the pork though...I found it a bit dry. The parking lot is huge and there's security all over, so despite it being in a "sketch" part of downtown, it still feels relatively safe. Also, they accept credit card. There's no toilets or tables though, so you have to eat standing or in your car. *Hot take, I think this place is better than the famous Tacos el Gordo in San Diego.

Best taco spot in LA. I've been a fan since when they were in 26 Ave street and now moved to a larger spot. It's pretty much in a parking lot so park your car and eat around your car. Service is quick and tacos are delicious. But the best part is the extra onions and cilantro, sauces I can pile on top of my taco. Love how I can grab them myself. They can also make burritos and quesadillas too! So good!

They might be the best taco place in LA. Perhaps they are better than King Taco which is really hard to achieve. In terms of the food quality, fresh ingredients, food taste, the way they cook the meat and the way they prepare the orders are exceptional. Don't get me wrong, I still love King Taco but I think I love this place a bit better. We had some taco & burritos and I love tacos better than burritos. They also open 24 hours. The place is so popular and the lines are always long especially the night time. The service is quick and nice. Probably you have to wait quite a bit for the food and you may have to eat the food in your car something. But it is all worthwhile to visit.

Yesterday, I had lunch with My Dad, My Mom & My two brothers ; we all together had lunch at Avenue 26 Tacos in Little Tokyo. I had heard that their tacos and burritos were amazing, so we decided to try it--and they were absolutely incredible. Even though I like tacos, I'm not a big fan of burritos. But the burrito here was the best burrito I've ever had. Originally, I was going to order tacos, but I saw them making someone else's order in front of me, and it looked so delicious that I asked what it was. They said it was a burrito, so I decided to order one--and it turned out to be unbelievably good. The tacos were also very delicious, and it was really fun to watch the person making them. They were flipping and assembling the tacos so skillfully, almost like a magic show. The food here is truly amazing, but there are a couple of downsides: there's no place to sit and eat, so you have to walk quite a bit to a nearby market to find seating, and they don't print out receipts. Still, when it comes to taste, this place is definitely one of the best for tacos and burritos.

Legendary place! Tacos are solid and affordable! Their quesadillas are to die for. Anything carne asada easily the best! Plenty of parking! Definitely one of LA's staples for tacos! You have to go!

Pretty good. I'd say the only thing they need to add is someone directing where to go. It's a little confusing, and they all kind of expect you to know where to go, as if it's implied, but with all the people they have behind the counters, I'm sure they can sort that out. I ordered an Al Pastor Burrito with a Fanta, about $17 total. The burrito was solid, but I'd say they skimped out on the meat. Other than the confusion and the one cashier trying to take payments from a 360 angle, the place is interesting. It's worth a visit.

1am taco run, these Tacos hit the spot. There is a 24h sign , so this place is open all day. i ordered 3 asada tacos with potato's, and a coke. i tried all the hot sauces and none disappointed. The meat was tasty and well cooked. The staff is friendly, The location is in a parking lot it looks safe. they do have a security guard walking around the parking lot. vibe felt good we will for sure be back.

The tacos are good, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. At least they're open super late, so it's a great late night snack. We ordered al pastor, lengua, and cabeza taco. I think the cabeza taco was the best. The al pastor taco does not come with pineapple anymore. In addition, I think the potatoes are the most underrated item there, so add them to your order. Their condiments: sauteed onions, serranos, potatoes, onions and cilantro, salsa verde and rojo. My spice tolerance is embarrassing low and all the sauces have a kick. I wish they had more trash cans. Bring cash, $2.25/taco!

Came here once for a singular taco because we were not full from our first dinner. I've heard great things about this place and wanted to give it a try at least once. I think they renamed this place, so I'm not really sure what their official name is now. It's located in a big parking at the Little Tokyo Galleria. I got a singular cabeza taco. They have a station for you to add as many toppings as you like. I added a green sauce onto mine, but it was so spicy! I honestly couldn't even enjoy my taco because my mouth was on fire the entire time. I wish they had a sign that warned how spicy it was. I can't imagine how hot the red sauce would be. I wish I could have actually tasted the meat, as I'm sure it was super flavorful. But unfortunately, the spice overpowered everything.

The food was affordable, made to order! We love that they are open 24 hours. I just wish the meat was juicer, it felt too dry. The place was packed with people ready to order and enjoy the night. They had a station for tacos, a station for burritos/ quesadillas. A topping station and a drink station. Which is great. I wished it had places to sit, you have to sit in your car and enjoy the food. You also have access to random people asking you for food. Other than that it's a nice spot. Do I recommend it? Maybe? Definitely enjoy a potato & a bottled coke. I definitely want to come back on a Friday night. IYKYK! Lol.

Quick spot for authentic Mexican tacos with great prices. Food is made right in front of you and you can customize your toppings, which is a big plus. The tacos were really good and fresh. Watermelon agua fresca was tasty, just not very cold since we went around 6pm on a warm day. Overall, solid quick bite and definitely worth stopping by.

Cousins Francisco Aguilar and Alexis Chacon relocated from Oaxaca to open this mobile mariscos operation. But Simon's seafood-forward menu is innovative and sophisticated, seemingly more at home in a sit-downery than a mobile food cart. Unsurprisingly, Simon has been lauded by news outlets and food critics abound. I've been dying to try Simon, but the limited and often unpredictable hours have kept me from it for months. My partner and I visited for a late weekend lunch and ordered immediately. We opted for 2 tacos (the Soft Shelled Crab and the Baja-style Fish) and a Large Aguachile Negro, and our made-to-order meal was prepared within a few minutes. Between the tacos, the crab was a clear winner. The crispy, whole crab was well-complemented by the fresh pineapple salsa and the rich chipotle crema. In stark contrast, the Baja-style fried fish was one-dimensional in flavor and ran on the soggy side, owing to the watery pickled cabbage slaw. But not even the crab taco could compete with the stellar aguachile. We couldn't get enough of the marinade's rich blend of acidity and smokiness, which overshadowed even the generous helping of fresh shrimp. Simon's complimentary salsa lineup also exceeded expectations. We most enjoyed the earthy salsa macha and the smooth, creamy salsa verde, but the tangy salsa Simon -- the truck's take on taco sauce -- was no slouch, either. Our bill totaled just over $30, and the meal felt reasonably priced and appropriately filling. While the tacos didn't knock my socks off, the aguachile certainly did -- I can't wait to return to try some of Simon's other varieties.
