Came cause I seen the videos on IG and seen most reviews saying they're alright but wanted to give them a try anyways. Overall they were just alright they're def not nasty tacos but not the greatest tbh. The carne asada IMO lacked flavor and felt like it was sitting in the hot box for a bit which was surprising because it was pretty busy inside. The pastor was the best out of the meats we got it was flavorful and not too greasy. The lengua was what we were most excited about but also Lacked flavor and tasted like it was just boiled/steamed once we tossed some salt in it it was pretty decent but still didn't hit as expected. Being the only non Latino person in the place, I was expecting an explosion of flavors I don't normally experienced by the places us gringos normally frequent. I went with three tacos: carne asada, adobada, and cicharron en salsa verde. The carne asada was the first and best I tried. I put onions and verde salsa on it. I was expecting the verde salsa to have some kick, so I started light until I knew what I was dealing with. It was extremely mild and disappointing. The meat was very good though. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. I'd like to try their carne asada steak meal (if they have it.....what's on their internet menu versus their in store menu seems to vary). The other two tacos were pretty much the same, lacking new flavors not previously experienced. I do want to point out their exception salsa and condiments bar. All the salsas and condiments you could ever want to put in your food of choice. Their portions are also generous being twice what I typically see for street style tacos. First of all I just want to say that I love love Mexican food! I grew up eating nothing but authentic Mexican food bc that's all my mom cooked, so I can tell you that this place is really really hyped up. The atmosphere is very welcoming and clean. The burritos we got were carne asada and birria. The meat was nice and tender BUT BUT it was lacking flavor, the seasoning was off, it didn't have the mesquite flavor that carne asada has and all the salsas also had no flavor. Only the red salsa was spicy but that's about it. No matter what kind of salsa I put on it didn't make the burrito better. I was really disappointed bc it wasn't cheap either. Soda is $3 which I thought it was overpriced. Their customer service was amazing! They nicely keep up with the restaurant and are very attentive to customers! They have a salsa bar which is very nice! The only drawback is the lack of flavor in the meat and salsa!
