They say you can tell a good place by the number of cars in the parking lot and this place was packed. It's small and mainly caters to locals. I gave it a 5 star because they served excellent food and it was authentic. Both of us ordered the Taco salad but got al pastor (pork) instead of chicken, which was delicious. The salad was served in a tortilla shell that was fried in-house in fresh oil. The salsa was spicy, but not too hot and served with homemade chips. Service was very good. I ask if they can give me fresh plate , she took it back and then brought me same plate re-heated in microwave. The food here was freaking amazing; My mom & I ordered chilaquiles with a side of hotcakes to split and it we cleared those plates! The staff here is incredibly kind and prompt with our order; we got our coffee & food really quick! Place is really clean too, with nice low lighting so you don't overheat on hot days. The experience was ruined by at least 3 different guys came in hacking and sneezing like they'd spit out a lung. We paid our bill and left quickly. While visiting Yuma we came across this Mexican restaurant. Not a fancy place at first glance wasn't sure I wanted to eat at this establishment. We decided to try it and am so glad we did! The service was amazing! Ordered a Cadillac margarita which was awesome. The menu was great. They even offered a senior menu which was the perfect portion of food for me and my husband. 3.5 stars. Stopped here when we took a break from driving in Yuma. Thankfully, still open to take out orders during this coronavirus pandemic. We ordered the chorizo quesadilla, chorizo taco x2, carne asada taco, Al pastor taco, Chile relleno burrito and the churros. We got the quesadilla, one chorizo taco, no Al pastor taco, the burrito, one carne asada and one churro. So a bit of mess up with the order there. The quesadilla and churro were amazing. So good, we missed that second churro. The quesadilla was melty, chorizo wonderfully cooked and a delight to have with the salsa and sour cream. The tacos were disappointing. Both the chorizo and the asada were very dry. And of course no Al pastor to taste. The burrito was ok. My boyfriend didn't like it, I found it decent but not out of the world like some of the reviews stated. So overall a just-average experience. I've recently moved here in Arizona and I finally discovered a Mexican restaurant that prepares and serves authentic Mexican dishes. We were returning from San Diego and decided to stop in Yuma. My wife noticed a crowded Mexican restaurant as we passed it by. I made a U-turn and pulled in. I could smell the aroma of Mexican spices from outside. As we walked in, the place was crowded with Mexican patrons old and young alike. In my experience, that is a true sign of a restaurant that serves not only authentic Mexican food, but good Mexican food. The restaurant isn't that big. The dining area is 'L' shaped. It's probably only 25 paces from the front door to the back of the house. One of the servers shouted from the back of the bar, there were available tables in the back. We walked to the back and around the corner and noticed a couple of two-seater tables and chose one that gave us more room as the place was crowded and space was tight. I browsed over the menu and it was hard to choose. I looked over at the other diners plates and everything looked good. I chose something I've never seen in other Mexican restaurants, Menudo Blanca (white menudo) and a chile relleno a la carte. My wife ordered a chile relleno with Spanish rice. The menudo was served with the traditional accompaniments, oregano, onions, lime, and red pepper. Plus they brought out salt. But the menudo did not need salt. The broth was delicious on its own. Of course I added oregano and onions. I stayed away from the red pepper only because I still had two and a half hours to my final destination. Although I love spicy food, sometimes it catches me by surprise and I suffer for it and I have to search for the nearest bathroom. I couldn't stop spooning broth into my mouth. It was so good. There were plenty of tender tripe and hominy. The chile relleno reminded my wife of her childhood days when an old family friend use to prepare it. The Spanish rice was one of the best we had in a restaurant. It was flavorful, moist, and fluffy. We made a decision right then and there, when we travel through Yuma, we will stop there to try other dishes. read more

We were headed through Yuma on a Sunday evening and trusted Yelp to find us a nice place to stop in and enjoy a sit down meal. Yelp did not let us down. Neither did Tacos Mi Rancho. The first thing you notice is the decor. Bright colors, tiled tables, wooden tables and chairs. Decorations, photos, and paintings adorning the walls. Very cheerful and festive. We walked in and were greeted. Asked if we were ordering "For here or to go?" Said "For here." and were seated around the back. Our server brought us a healthy serving of chips and salsa and took our drink order. My lemonade was cold and delicious and the cup it came in was huge. Love that. I decided to go outside of my comfort zone and order a plate that I normally steer clear of - an enchilada-style burrito. Decided on chicken over beef. Service was fairly quick and before I knew it I was biting into an amazing chicken burrito in a nice enchilada sauce with rice and beans and salad and guacamole on the side. Portion size was perfect for me and it was very tasty. My wife got the Mexican Pizza and a huge iced tea. The pizza is listed as an appetizer, but the serving size was great. She took about half of it in a to-go container. I know where we'll be stopping the next time we come to Yuma or are just passing through. From the looks of things at the counter you can just walk in and grab most of their menu selections to go also. Nice to know, but I think the decor alone makes it worth a stop. I needed to update this post because I forgave them for closing early a long time ago. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Yuma. I don't feel like I'm even in Yuma until I eat a meal here. My favorites are the tripas tacos and the carnitas tacos, but I also enjoy their menudo on occasion and their other tacos. The servers are very sweet and I appreciate the warm greetings I always get. We've stopped here several times during our annual summer migration to or from San Diego and it's now my preferred spot to relax for a bit before taking on the second half of the drive. The food is very good, it's well made and tasty, and the service is excellent. Over all I thought it was pretty good. A lot bigger than it looked from outside, laid back cozy vibe. The young man ( the bus busser) was exceptional. More of a waiter than our waitress was, leads me to the problem I had. My table consists of 3 people and they took it upon themselves to add a 10 dollar tip.
