I've been to the location on Percival Rd, but I noticed this one while I was in the area and I knew that I had to bring my kids here. First of all the food was so good. I got the Owners Trio and it was so delicious and the kids got quesadillas and a deconstructed burrito. They loved their selections. The service was great and our server was very nice and checked up on us. She made sure that our food was good and if we needed more of our drinks. Finally the ambiance is so Mexican that it's perfect. It would be a pretty good date night restaurant if you want Mexican food. read more

No bueno. We only came because our favorite spot, Tacos Locos Bar and Grill didn't have their truck out on Memorial Day, so we decided to try this place out and were disappointed. The asada was not good, very chewy and lacked seasoning. The Barbacoa was way too salty. My wife had the triple taco plate, and some of the tortillas were undercooked. I tried their burrito bowl, and their meat was chewy and lacked flavor. My mom had the nachos and had a similar experience with the meat. My daughter had the Asada tacos and the meat wasn't even cut up small pieces. The red rice was fine, the horchata and guava drinks needed a bit more sugar but the service was the worst part. It wasn't even a busy day! Our waiter had one other table while we were there! She took our order, brought out the food but forgot one of our dishes. Then we didn't see her the rest of the meal and the hostess had to pick up her slack. But the hostess wasn't good at it either since I had to ask her for a cup of water 3 times. On the second attempt, she brought me an empty cup. I had to tell her I wanted water in the cup! Definitely not coming back. read more

Went to the new location and loved it. Love that they have a separate bar so I opted to get us some drinks while my daughter waited in line. The service was prompt and always friendly. The food was as delicious as expected. If you frequent here then you know they're consistent and that says a lot. I love the open tables and outdoor seating as well. Can't wait to go back. read more

Really enjoyed the new Tacos Nayarit in Cayce! Tried the street tacos, chicken and steak. The chicken was a little too juicy for me but the flavors were hitting! Service was quick and easy. I've had food from their Percival Rd location and it's on point. This location, the ambiance is above and beyond very roomy lots of tables, a cute outside space as well as a bar. What put the nasty taste in my mouth was a few things. The first and most worrying point is the young lady behind the counter grabbed a bag of cooked rice that was in a gallon zip lock bag. Dumped it into the rice pan, but then took it to the grill where the person on the grill dumbed it all on there. Is this rice cooked early and stored? Was it cooked the day before? Where was it stored? Because the young lady didn't move far from the line. My second issue. I went back to the counter to order 2 tortillas. There was no option for a side of tortillas. You could only pay for an order of 4. I ended up paying for them because my granddaughter eats certain things. The same way they charge for a side of guacamole or cheese this should be an option. My last point is I noticed the manager walking around speaking with customers and he was selective with whom he chatted with and shared menu options with. With a new establishment it would be a best practice to greet everyone because we all paid to be there. read more

Very very overpriced food. I don't care how good it is. $14 for a quesadilla is insane. They have it set as a restaurant sit down style but charge you for tortilla chips. I just don't think the prices make sense for the amount of food you get. read more

Cayce is definitely lacking on dining options, needless to say, I was excited to see Tacos Nayarit open Summer 2025. Casual dining environment with ample indoor and outing seating making it a great option for small and large crowds. The dining area is vibrant and spacious and includes a large full size bar. There is no table service rather all orders are placed at the kitchen line. I wish the staff been a bit more welcoming and I would have benefited from some guidance on the ordering process. Nonetheless, I navigated my way through in-style. Diners choose from a variety of meal types (ie. Tacos, Tortas, Gorditas, and Quesadillas) and protein. I opted for the grilled Cameron gordita and absolutely loved it. Shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the gordita was moist yet firm enough to hold the toppings. After choosing your preferred meal type diners, have the option of topping it with a variety of toppings from beans, queso, lettuce, tomatoes, corn, onions, sour cream, and avocado. I you want a little extra topping, be sure to ask that the topping be placed the side. The guacamole was delicious as were the assortment of toppings that I added to my Gordita. I also order a side of plantains- although it took a while for them to be prepared, the wait was totally worth it. Definitely would recommend and look forward to returning. read more

As this place has transitioned its business model , its execution has been horrid their staff is undertrained. Genuine horrible customer service. They make you wait outside for togos with no other accommodation. The Togo staff as well as the servers on the floor have horrible customer service. Before the switch , I came every week I even tried to take a break in hope it would be better as the natural progression of the transition. We tried it yesterday for the 1st time. Not a fan When do you go to a Mexican restaurant and pay for a basket ( small paper tray ) of chips? No hard shell tacos. They didn't understand enough english to explain that the taco shell is more like a fried gordito. The amount of meat in the taco was so so, but barely any topping added. I mean, if you are going to charge that much for a taco at least over load the thing with toppings. Taco Bell would have done better. The Margarita was way over priced for the maybe 7 or 8 oz of drink. Well, you don't know until you try it. 1 star at best That's for the clean restaurant and outdoor seating. read more

The remodeled interior is beautiful! I was skeptical of turning a former bank into a restaurant, but they did a great job. The food was just as good as I remember at the Percival Road location. The set up is similar to Chipotle on Moe's where you order at the counter and select the items on the line. However, the food is far superior! My only complaint is the plastic sporks. I was so stoked to try this place. My family loves good, authentic tacos Al pastor and Birria. The building is great, atmosphere is great, and the cocktails are fantastic and presented so well. Unfortunately the food not so great. First of all, the cafeteria style ordering is very off putting and confusing. The pastor and the birria lacked any flavor at all and was just a greasy dripping mess. Honestly some of the worst I've had. I talked this place up to my family and truly expected it to be great. No bueno.... Hopefully it was a bad day and the food isn't always flavorless and greasy. I want some pastor off of a rotating spit with pineapple and a little crispness on the edges and flavor!!! read more

JC and Maria are the best bartenders and their margaritas and tequila selection are incredible. We stop here every time we come from out of town and they always remember us and take the best care of us! The bar has such a fun vibe and we can't wait to enjoy the patio more! I was super excited to try Tacos Nayarit on Knox Abbott. We came here to celebrate my 41st birthday, looking forward to a churro dessert with a sparkler that my sister received back in August for her birthday and some delicious food! From the start, it took about 10 minutes for someone to come get our drink orders. It took another 10 minutes to get our drinks, besides my husband. His drink took longer due to changing the keg. Not a problem, but communication would have been nice. The food was tasty enough, but the server assured us that the Corn Ribs (a fun take on street corn) was not spicy at all and our almost one year old, 5 year old, and 9 year old could eat it. While this app was super yummy, it was also extremely spicy. This was frustrating, as she described it as "basically mayo". We ordered the quesadilla kids plate for our girls. This was to come with 2 chicken quesadillas and chips. We received what looked like 2 tacos and a plate of tasteless refried beans. The girls enjoyed their chicken taco-quesadillas well enough. My sister and husband talked to staff and requested a churro dessert with a sparkler and we're all told they would make it happen...our kids and myself were so excited for this to happen, but instead, our server and the hostess walked over with a paper tray of churros (one churro cut in half) and two little instruments singing a lack luster happy birthday. We felt that the service was inattentive most of the night and did not feel like we mattered as customers overall. A few positives...the atmosphere is super fun, very clean, and makes for a great setting. We will definitely give it another go in hopes of a better experience. read more

Wanted it to be better, my wife and I ordered our food, I watched them make my plate and then hold it for a good 5 minutes until hers was ready. So hers was hit and mine was cold. Basic restaurant kitchen should know the food needs to be served together you make it come out st the same time, not make it and hold for the rest of the order. read more

Poor customer service, communications and just about everything for a recipe for failure. Guy walks off midway through my order to take a phone call. Never changed gloves before he went back to preparing food. Will be contacting DHEC Monday. Wretched is too nice of a description for the food unless raw tortillas are your thing. It took forever to get the order right and even then, the order was still not right. We will just go to the taco truck on Charleston Hwy from now on. I did get vindication as I was able to persuade two people in the parking lot to go elsewhere and they did. It is those small victories. If this place lasts a year, I'll be surprised. read more

Chips should be included with meals as they are at other Mexican restaurants and for the amount you pay for chips and queso, you should get either more queso or more chips. Menu should not be changing, it should be one screen that stays. I had trouble seeing what was on the menu. read more
