Hubby and I didn't feel like cooking today, so he wanted some Mexican food. I am always undecided when it comes to the dishes I want, because I want them all! So, after staring down the menu longer than I should, I finally ordered the Los Tres Amigos. It came with a spinach burrito, cheese enchilada and soft bean taco. I even took it up a step more and added the crema salad that came with my hubby's meal (he didn't know). It was so delicious! Not sure how friendly it's going to be with my stomach later, but at the time it had my stomach full and happy!! My husband purchased the Beef Chimichanga. It was a marinated beef and deep-fried stuffed flour tortilla with cheese sauce. He raved that the meal was amazing! I was too full to try anything else, so I am going to take his word that it was enjoyable:) The food was prepared and seasoned well, the restaurant was lit and clean. Customer service was great. I was pleasantly surprised to find a large variety of vegetarian items. I started with the spinach dip which was delicious. I ordered El Vegetarian which is a spinach burrito & cheese enchilada both topped with salsa verde served with rice and beans. The atmosphere was just ok to me. The tv's were on though on HGTV with no sound. There was no music playing either so I dined alone and had to listen to the kitchen hustle and bustle or the other bar patrons who were on FaceTime repeatedly in public without earbuds. The service was good though he asked me repeatedly if I wanted another drink when I was barely half way through a draft beer. It made me feel rushed to finish it so I didn't. There isn't a bar tender so each server makes their own drinks. You won't find a variety of cocktails; just jarred margarita mix and house tequila. At least they measured properly read more

First off, This place is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants ever. I come here at least once a week because I work close by. The staff are always friendly and provide fast service. My go to order is the beef or chicken chimichanga. It's the perfect size and also comes with rice, lettuce, sour creme, and tomatoes. The salsa here is pretty good too! So this is a typical Mexican restaurant with colorful walls and decor everywhere. Music playing to get you in the vibe. I think this was one of the first restaurants my bf and I came to last year when I moved down here. We love Mexican food, the cost is efficient, and it's close to the house which is a win. I didn't get a photo cuz we ate it so fast but their chips and salsa are so good! The chips always taste fresh and salsa gives a nice bite every time. I usually get a taco salad but I wanted to try something new, so we got the chimichanga with chicken and burrito with beef brisket. They were both equally delicious especially paired with rice, sour cream, tomato and salsa. The meat was very flavorful and the queso was delicious. I will say the chicken was a little hard to cut through so I'm not sure if the piece was too big. I'll definitely probably get those again. My daughter had nuggets and fries and the nuggets were really tender and I loved their fries. Crunchy outside with soft inside texture is perfect to me. The service was quick. I'd say we were in and out in less than 45 minutes to be completely honest which we liked because we had other things to do yesterday. I have never been disappointed here there very consistently good. I like the chicken soup. But everything I've ordered here is excellent but I particularly like their homemade tortilla chips and there sauce for them. They also have a cheese sauce for them. That is excellent as well. Mexican American close to home. This style of food is a favorite among many and Taco Time has everything you could crave. They feature a pretty run of the mill menu that doesn't skip any of the fan favorites. They also have a pretty cool drink menu that's got some interesting drinks on it. Taco time does a good job service wise, food wise, and the environment is everything you'd expect. If you've been to a decent Mexican American spot you know exactly what to expect. I would've loved to see some more interesting takes on the food or style but playing it safe is also a good bet. We were traveling and were tired of the same old chain restaurants. So, we found Taco Time on Yelp. I understand why this restaurant is number one in the area. The food was good and ready for pick up when I arrived. The man at the counter was very nice. We had chicken chimichangas, rice, and guacamole. This has been a great place to go for Texas Gold Margaritas. Apparently, they put more liquor in their margaritas than other restaurants. I always walk out feeling really really good. An order of beef and cheese nachos for the table. They were very good and I wish we had ordered more. Four orders were placed and everyone said how good they were. Thanks to my Yelp friends we tried Taco Time tonight. I've been needing a local Mexican place ever since San Jose closed down. I have to admit the place was really good. We were seated immediately and had VERY good service. We had a few drinks, munched on some chips with Salsa and Cheese. When we placed our order, the food came out quickly and our order was perfect. Taco time is located in a strip mall next door to Wally World on Garners Ferry. This is my second time here. The food is great. The lunch specials #1 - 10 are 4.99 before 3. Last time I was here for dinner and it was delicious. This time they've fallen prey to the "food is just warm enough so you won't complain " syndrome of the big name restaurants.
