Stopped in for lunch and I am glad that I did! I love the inside of this restaurant! It has a lot of seating and a nice bar. The restrooms are clean and I really like the outside seating. We decided to sit outside because it was a nice day. The waitress we had was kind and attentive! We were given chips and salsa. We ordered the queso for appetizer and it was delicious! It's my last night in Georgia and I was planning on some southern cooking, but my hotel highly recommended this restaurant. I was very disappointed and I don't know if it's because I'm used to Mexican food in California or it's just not up to par. But first, the margarita. The menu says the drink has Tequila, lime juice and triple sec. For me, that's a legit margarita. They have other margaritas where they list a sweetener, but not this one. Unfortunately, this one obviously had lots of sweetener in it and was very disappointing. It was nice though there are options for what goes in the rim of the glass. I ordered 3 types of street tacos. Carnitas, al pastor, and carne asada. The amount of filling was abundant, which was great to see. However, the carnitas were dripping clear oil, and not in a good way. I also found the flavors to be very mild and somewhat indistinguishable from each other. I could easily tell which was which by looking at them, but as an example, I couldn't even taste any pineapple in the al pastor. The restaurant was very clean and the service was good. read more

5 stars - I'd give it more if I could! I'm not a huge fan of Tacos + Tequila downtown, but the Pooler location is phenomenal. The inside has such a cool vibe, I love the artwork. I stopped by with a coworker for lunch. We were promptly sat, the server came to the table right away with chips & salsa, and the food was prepared quickly! I got the quesa-birria (birria-style cooked beef folded into a corn tortilla with melted cheese, and served with a side of consomé) It was phenomenal!! I'd highly recommend it. This place is a perfect example of how looks can be deceiving--never judge a book by its cover. From the outside, Tacos and Tequila doesn't seem like much, but once you step inside, it's a different story. The restaurant was bustling, clean, and had a great energy. We were just really hungry, so we decided to give it a go--and I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing. It was authentic, flavorful, and just hit the spot. Every bite was packed with great taste. I wish I'd taken more pictures, but honestly, the food was so good that my camera just couldn't come before eating, as they say! We'll definitely be revisiting this restaurant the next time we're in the area. What a crappy place. We went in for dinner and I ordered a Miller to go w dinner. Waitress brings it and it has a lime in it. When I said something she got all insulted and said well i put lime in all beer whats the big deal? Food comes and it was the nastiest Mexican I ever had. Get the bill and we paid 50 bucks for a beer sweet tea chilaquiles and a chicken quesadilla. The waitress presumptively put herself in for a 25% tip... changed that shit quick shes lucky my wife gave her what she got! Long story short steer clear! read more

This was my first time coming here, and I had a great experience. Our server, Miguel, was very attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations! We came to celebrate my friend's birthday in a large party and even with a large group, nothing was delayed, and our server was still checking on us constantly.
