Food exactly what you'd expect. Stopped by for an early dinner and was immediately seated. They have a small bar area, large dining room, and outdoor seating available. We of course ordered a queso dip to go with the complimentary chips and salsa! We decided to split the Parrillada para Dos. It comes with two servings of rice, beans, and tortillas with a shared Mexican salad of shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. The fajitas comes with a massive portion of carnitas, carne asada, shrimp, chicken, and chorizo on a bed of onions and green bell peppers. Cancun Mexican Restaurant is easily one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Savannah and a place Jordan and I keep coming back to over and over again. From the moment you walk in, the staff always makes you feel welcome and taken care of. The service here has consistently been great every single time we visited, which honestly makes such a difference in the overall experience. The prices are also very reasonable for the amount of food you get, and the flavor never disappoints. Everything always tastes fresh, well seasoned, and made with care. Their portions are absolutely massive, especially the Parrillada for two, omg, be ready because they bring out SO much food! Great Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa was great, a must for Mexican food stop. My go-to drink is a frozen Margarona. They make it well, and big. CHILE RELLENO is recommended. It doesn't come with a meat, and is perfect level of heat, just enough for flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The SHRIMO COCKTAIL was nicely presented in a goblet, but not really what I am looking for at a Mexican restaurant. My wife's go-to is Chorizo Tacos. She said these were good. From a small town with lots of good Mexican and this is the first one I've found in Savannah that I love! Chimichangas, burrito, fajitas are all amazing. Went for dinner on a weekday and took advantage of the HH special of $3.50 house margaritas until 7pm. You may get frozen or on the rocks. We shred the paradilla platter for two. It came with pork carnitas, carne asada, shrimp, and chicken. It was all well seasoned. It came with rice, beans, guac, sour cream, pic dillo, and lettuce. The six large tortillas were served warm. (tip)First place I found on my misty walk in the rain this fine Monday(4/7/14) in Savannah... So far...So good (Review 4/1014/) While in Savannah for my Sidekick's work it gave way to me having ME TIME. Yep sounds wonderful. RIGHT? For the hotel corporate booked for us, I actually made a CRAPPY day a YAY day.(read following reviews for this area)(coming..promise) Only place that I could grab an adult beverage(AB) and a bite with out having to walk in the rain or take a cab. (Just so you know..I will walk or bike before grabbing a cab/bus.That's just me) I walked in around 1pm, the place was pretty much packed w/nursing students/nurse's/military(Hunter Air Force) and w/us regular looking folks(plain clothed). I did not want to take a table top or booth for just one, so I ask the hostess if I could sit at the bar. She handed me my silverware and menu and I sashayed my self over to it. I was alone wolf there. So, my take was this place is a destination for a "WORK LUNCH". After ordering their House Blended Maggie, nibbling on their chips and salsa(which the salsa was actually GOOD salsa..Meaning..it started out with a snap but ended with a slight garlic lime bite). I ordered off the lunch menu, the #1( One chile relleno, one taco, beans, and a guacamole salad ) I went with a hard shell taco, as I find it difficult to find good soft tortillas on the East coast at times.(Raised West coast Chica) The taco was good. Not a lot of filler(little rabbit food) more chicken(shredded w/ light red sauce) and cheese(Mexican)..The relleno was stuffed ONLY with the Mexican cheese(which I prefer) light egg coating and an even lighter sauce on top. Beans and guacamole salad same old same old in my option. After eating the(WHOLE) taco(as you have to finish a hard shell taco ASAP or it get soggy and falls apart) I tarted in on the relleno, it was a very nice surprise(one of the best I have had in 6 yrs on the east coast)as it was simple and meant for you to taste cheese, chile.(coating and sauce were the BONUS) I ordered a second AB and ask for a to go for my chips and salsa. I was hotel bound, plus wanted sidekick too not be butt hurt. When my bill came it was a shocking total $14.74 w/tip a whopping $20..Hence why I said this is a "WORK LUNCH" destination..You could get in and out of here w/tip for $10 So if you are in Savannah and want a little Mexican and maybe an AB for a GREAT value..HIT CANCUN..(the feel of a Mexico w/out the passport or airfare cost) Would always go back to mingle w/the HH crowd just to see what GREAT values they offer then as well. Pretty good. Great spot for lunch. This isn't as good as the Mexican food up in the Bluffton area, but it is great for Savannah. The salsa is good. The service is quick but this place fills up quickly at lunch time. Get in early or you will be spending some time waiting. It has great outdoor seating and it has a nice bar area. My SO and I went here to eat dinner, and we will not be returning. I will start by saying the service is ok, it was more an issue with the quality and price of the food. My SO ordered the California Burrito, which is $10, and comes with no sides. Once he received the burrito, the meat was overly salted, and not chopped well which caused it to all pull out in a big chunk when he went to take a bite. We also noted that the fries inside the burrito appeared to be frozen crinkle cut fries, by very appetizing. I ordered the set of four taquitoes with lettuce, tomatoe, sour cream, and guacamole on top. The shells of the taquitoes were not the traditional type of wrap, and the fillings were just ok, they did include little chunks of potatoes inside the taquitoes which I though was kind of weird. My meal also came with no sides for $10. It was just a very mediocre and in my opinion overpriced for what it is/what you get meal. read more

It's been over 3 years since I have been back here, and everything looked the same as before, welcoming. We came in and was greeted and seated pretty quickly. Everything started out pretty good, and slowly downhill. We ordered our food and the server was kind of trying to be smart in the mouth. The food came out and it was ok not as good as it used to be. I had to add seasoning on most of it or add hot sauce. Then the server literally forgot about us. After a long while we just decided to walk over to the counter to pay and leave.
