Nothing fancy with the ambiance of a truck stop pullover. However, nice portions at a fair price. I come back for the steak fajitas. Don't speed as this street is a ticketing trap with local authorities.

If my wife were reviewing this she'd give it 5 stars to me it is three so I averaged the two of us. She likes it because of the buffet. I've been here twice for the buffet. The buffet is great if you like fajitas everything on it has been fresh and good but nothing life altering. Besides the buffet it is pretty on par for most Mexican restaurants

They have a lunch buffet 7 days a week and a dinner buffet on Friday and Saturday nights. I usually hate buffets but my family enjoys going here because everyone can get what they want without waiting for cheaper then if we ordered it off the menu. My son loves the guacamole and cheese dip that he can get to go with his food. He also loves the beans, fresh veggies, and cheese quesadillas all available on the buffet. My husband LOVES the chicken wings and chicken cooked with onions and peppers. I love the fresh delicious pico de gallo. The employees are friendly and service is fast even if you are ordering off the menu.

    This was from the buffet.

When we chose it we didn't realize that there are a few other Treylor Parks - all with their own concepts. The service was a little lukewarm at first, but got progressively better. We went on Father's Day and expected it to be a little busier, but maybe we missed the rush. My husband started off with a Bloody Mary - all the way. It came with a pickle juice shooter that at first sounded a little weird, but was actually tasty. We started with fried green tomatoes. They were definitely different than any I had ever had. First it was tempura. YAY! Most are cornmeal and the texture is weird. These were so good. It came with a pimento cheese topper. It was my first time having pimento cheese and I loved it! I had the grilled apple pie chicken sandwich. I was a little worried it would be super sweet but it was not. It was perfectly balanced. My husband had the Treylor Park Pot Pie. It was a chicken pot pie burrito/chimichanga. My husband loved the collard greens and loved his meal. All in all we enjoyed our meal and will go back next time we are in Savannah.

A few drops over each oyster completely transformed them.. bright, briny, and incredibly clean. They were absolutely exceptional. I would come back just for those alone. We then had the whole grilled snapper at The Grey, generously stuffed with herbs (mostly Italian parsley). It was beautifully cooked, perfectly seasoned, and carried that quiet confidence of a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. For a side, we chose the smashed potatoes, which were a standout in their own right, crispy edges with a soft, fluffy interior. Comforting, well-executed, and easy to keep reaching for. The space itself adds a lot to the experience: a thoughtfully repurposed former Greyhound bus station that feels stylish and warm without trying too hard. Service was excellent throughout.. attentive, well-paced, and seamless from start to finish. Overall, a memorable meal with a strong sense of balance, restraint, and care in every detail.

Looking around at the tables around us nothing really caught our eye after reading the menu, we didn't want to leave since we were able to get reservations so we got some starters and shareables. There was a couple next to us who was having the same dilemma after over hearing their conversation. The kale salad was okay but a little bitter for my liking and the potato soup had a thick layer of oil on the top which looked intentional but wasn't our cup of tea. The cornbread and mashed potatoes were good but nothing crazy in our opinion to write home about. Service was okay on our end, once our waiter realized we weren't getting any main entrees it felt like he ghosted us with no water until our food came out and then never came back to check in on us until he brought the check. We are going to try to come again next time we are in town in hopes we have a better experience and different menu!

Outdoor bar featured live music, which if you were dining on outside deck, you could also enjoy. We have been to Tybee many times, and I have to say..this is one of the best atmosphere's and quality meals we have ever had. Not your typical beach restaurant. Better! Absolutely adding to our rotation for future visits! PS they don't take reservations. Large place, you won't wait too long and it's worth it. We had our fill of outside time, so opted for indoors (same amazing oceanview & AC!) Had a great table by the window, could see the ocean. Our server Jenna H. was witty, attentive and had excellent menu recommendations. They were out of wings, and she suggested chicken tenders that she would have them baste in the wing sauce. Creative solution! The chip trio app is great with salsa, queso & guacamole. We enjoyed very much Asked about the fish & chips, and she said it was one of the most popular menu items because it was excellent. She was right! An Absolute Must-Visit in Savannah!…read more Our group of food-loving travelers had one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time at Common Thread. From the moment we sat down until the last bite, every course exceeded our expectations. We started with the oysters, which were incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. The shaved beef was an absolute standout--one of those dishes you can't stop talking about long after the meal. The yellowfin tuna was pristine, buttery, and beautifully balanced. The salads were anything but ordinary. Both the watermelon salad and the tomato salad were bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors that showcased just how incredible simple ingredients can be when they're done right. For the entrées, the gnocchi was delicious, but the real stars were the New York strip and the roasted potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, and those potatoes may have been the best we've ever had. The red snapper was light, flaky, and had just the right amount of spice to elevate every bite. Richard's Chicken was unbelievably tender, juicy, and literally melted in your mouth. What truly elevated the evening was our server, Lindsey. She was warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like welcomed guests. She even took the time to recommend local attractions and things to do around Savannah, making our entire trip better. If Yelp allowed it, she'd get 10 out of 5 stars. Exceptional food, outstanding service, and an unforgettable experience. Common Thread has earned a place among the very best restaurants we've ever visited. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in Savannah.

So, that felt terrific, given their attention to making the space handicap accessible. I would only return for that specific reason - not for the food. We were there for a birthday, so we got the tasting menu and was told that it was served family style. We were 3 people, but for each course they brought out 2 plates of food (except for a single plate for the salad course). So, it felt weird sharing the dishes, like you didn't just get half and then to take 1/3 of 2 plates is also peculiar. Why not serve each course genuinely family style on a larger dish? For example, I usually tried 1/2 of each plate, but then there were some leftovers. And, one of the courses (the salad) came only on one tiny plate, and there was only one piece of the peach. So, there was no way to split that at all. They also brought us all new empty dishes and silverware after every course. It would have been easier to just give us each our own portion on our own plates. I kept thinking about all the dishes that they would need to wash, and it felt so wasteful. In fact, we had to ask for serving spoons, as they didn't offer that with the family style either. And honestly, the best course was the fried potatoes. They also brought us each one tiny tator tot with fancy sauce which was good. But, so tiny that it wasn't enough. The worst course was the tri tip meat. It had been cooked very rare which I like. But, it was so chewy that I found myself having to chew and chew and ... well, I couldn't eat. None of us liked that course, and it felt like a shame to leave it behind. I researched tri tip, and it seems that it needs to be cut in a certain way. The dessert was also really good. But overall, I was disappointed. Some places feel too fancy, and they forget that people are there to actually eat something rather than be confused by trying to guess what they are eating. For example, the delicious tator tot had a smoked oyster mayo sauce. But, the quantity of the sauce was so sparse, I didn't notice the oyster flavor at all. I suppose that my review may be heavy handed. I do appreciate that they provide farm to table, but they didn't take the time to profile that either.
