I just left and I already want to go back for more. Tacos Tijuana is my new favorite restaurant here in GH. Actually new favorite Mexican restaurant in all of WA to be honest. New restaurant in Gig, but long waited for legit Mexican food. Like with the flavors of Mexico, not north Texas. Popped in on a whim and had to try the signature dish; tacos Tijuana. They did not disappoint. I highly recommend trying them out if you crave real Mexican food. read more

Though a little challenging to find due to a very recent opening (3 weeks ago!) our experience at this restaurant was excellent! The food was mouth watering and we certainly left with a full stomach. Food has been tasty overall and prices are decent. Menu selections are a bit limited. Small very casual dining inside. They still don't serve alcohol or beer. Fine for a quick take out when you're craving tacos, chips and salsa. Rice and beans are average. read more

So it doesn't look like much from the outside just your run of the mill Mexican food restaurant. Dear lord was I happy I was wrong. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the nicest lady. She was very patient with my husband who couldn't make a decision on where he wanted to sit. The restaurant itself is super clean. Not a visual speck of dust anywhere. Just for that I'd give it 5 stars. However the food is what puts this restaurant in to a whole new caliber. I don't think I will ever go back to Puerto Vallarta. We ordered three different meals and none of us were talking. That's how good the food is. 2 of us got the birria and I will tell you you can't go wrong. My husband got the posole and he couldn't finish it, because it was so big. The value to food ratio was amazingly awesome. I have no clue why on a Saturday night we were the only people in the restaurant. This needs to be a place everyone goes to. Puerto Vallarta doesn't deserve to be busy because this places food is 110% better! read more

Took our 4y/o granddaughter for dinner. Short story; I have lots Mexican food experience and my wife, a terrific chef, is extremely critical of any restaurant food. All three of us loved our meals. Not boiler plate americanized Mexican food but fresh, authentic Mexican food. We had the Tijuana tacos, Nopalitos tacos, menudo soup and the children's quesadilla plate. Prices are high. Still, we've agreed to make this a frequent dinner stop. read more

Food and service good but be sure to verify your bill. No check given and they just rang it up at the register. Overcharged on the entrees and then claimed tax was calculated on each item individually but three entrees on the receipt were several dollars over menu price and tax was at the bottom of the check. Finally refunded $10 but should have been about $20 back. Would like to think it was inadvertent but it just didn't feel right and probably won't go back. read more

Ordered a carne asada burrito to go. Seemed pricy, over $20, but the Menu made it seem like it came with rice and beans. I shoulda asked. The rice was inside the burrito, and made up the bulk of the filling, with a sad thin layer of meat, couldn't tell you what it tasted like. The only side was a charred pepper. When asked , the owner said it is "quality" meat. I'm from SoCal, haven't found good Thai or Mexi-cal food yet here, though I assume it exists. Somewhere. . read more

Meat was tough and salty. I tried this place yesterday, and got the Carne Asada to go. The first thing I noticed is that when checking out, they charge more for credit cards. That is illegal. There is the price listed, but the price goes up depending on how you pay. They have their credit card terminal set up so that you push a button corresponding to how you will be paying, and the cash option (lowest price) is the price listed on their menu. If you hit the "paying by credit card" button, the price is higher than the listed menu price. Second, the meat was a bit tough. It was in one piece and not sliced, which was fine, but I had somewhat of a hard time cutting into bite sized pieces. Meat should be tender. You shouldn't have to press that hard to cut something. But the real problem is that the meat was so salty that I could not eat it. I threw it away. I really had high hopes for this place, but who wants to eat what amounts to salted beef. They must be soaking the meat in some sort of salt brine, and it ruined the entire meal. I spent a lot of money, and it went in the trash. read more

Really good Mexican food. We got the tacos Tijuana, Asada and pastor tacos and the papusas. Everything seasoned well and super flavorful. Even the rice and beans which are often an afterthought at similar places around here. Would maybe skip the papusas next time, but there wasn't anything wrong with them Per se. I really enjoyed the shrimp fajita, it was spiced well. The tail was left on, but other than that really fresh. Too expensive for me to return though. Maybe on special occasions. Excellent service. Not more than 10 minutes for food to arrive, the music was modern hip hop and I enjoyed listening to it, it was not too loud. Overall a very pleasant experience. read more

Though the food is good, it does not justify the very steep price for what is essentially tacos at a taqueria. I went in with four people and ordered soft drinks and four taco plates. The bill was over $100. Your best bet is to go during midday when the they have specials. read more

$17 for a mediocre mostly-rice burrito at a sit down taco stand? I'm sorry. We won't be back.

I just discovered this place not to long ago so I figured I had to try it. I picked up one day and ordered the California burrito, now I'm not much a burrito guy myself but I have to say this was probably the best burrito I've ever had. I liked it so much I went back later the same week and I went into the very nice dinning room in there and enjoyed it just as much. A very chill and decorative ambiance I will definitely be back soon. read more

Tried the Burrito California, a flour tortilla stuffed with crinkle cut fries (I aint kidding, like the ones in the freezer section at Safeway), salsa, a few pieces of chicken, like six nickle sized ones, shredded lettuce, sour cream and canned guac, not even any cheese! $23 for a burrito and a soda take out. No special atmosphere just walk up up and order/pay. I think I'll stick with El Pueblito where chips salsa and water plus table service is included at around the same price or less with a waterfront view, not a parking lot. Was real sorry to see Taste of Peru leave. They were in the same space. I wish I took a photo of the burrito, it was sad, dry and not tasty. Two five star reviews showed up just after I posted. Taco Time has better options. I'm from California and this is not a good example of Californio cuisine which is heavy on the fresh veg and not frozen fries. This is a far cry from the authentic cuisine offered previously in this space. I miss my Chicha Morada and potato soufflé!. Powdered Horchata just doesn't cut it. If it was really authentic they would serve Agua Frescas instead. A word to the wise if you want to try their $1.99 tacos you'd better get there before 3 pm when Happy Hour ends.
