I was looking forward to trying some good bbq. This place has great reviews. We got there right before it opened and there was a line starting. Good sign. We were seated right away and our server was friendly. She Explained they had a variety of sauces we could help ourselves too. They had different levels of heat and flavor profiles. There's something for everyone. We ordered a tray for 3 people that had 3 meats and 3 sides. You got to choose. I was really wanting a pulled pork sandwich but they didn't have that on the menu. Overall we left happy.

Brisket taco plate, corn and cotija on the taco, the pickled veggies were so good!!

First time here the other night, absolutely delicious. First off, they have a great happy hour and on Sunday! But... it ends at 5 and you must be in the bar area. The food is absolutely delicious I tried the brisket taco plate which gave me so much meat I had to take home half to make it the next night! The servings are big and the food is outstanding probably the best brisket I've ever had. I also tried the nachos which were so good!!! I don't think I'm such a fan of the super thin chips they use I wish I used more quality chips but it was outstanding! Came with guac and sour cream on top and the drizzled sauce on them was good, its huge! like three people can eat it for dinner! The service was excellent the cute gal that served us was so sweet and accommodating! I asked to have some of their bloody Mary mix in my beer to make it a red beer and she was so happy to do it and did not charge me. The restaurant is really a cool vibe the bathroom is really fun and the bar is super nice I can't wait to come back and sit at the bar for happy hour. It will definitely be one of my go to places. Sidenote, the pickled vegetables that came on the plate were so good! The beans were good too but I will say they lack a little bit of seasoning, so I added their delicious spicy barbecue sauce. The cocktails are really good and somewhat unique, I do feel they could be a little little bit larger or a little bit stronger for the price I had to order a couple drinks before I felt the effect... lol which i can usually start to feel one cocktail.

Beef shank baked potato, are you kidding me? So good! Cheese and a cilantro crema. Of course we paired it with a double short margarita which seemed appropriate!

We weren't hungry so ordered a medium platter for 3 people. It was big enough for us. The server was super friendly. The spicy NW vegi was good and unique. The brisket was good. Nothing extra ordinary. The pulled pork was solid as well. I actually liked the sauce called Sassy. Pretty cool restroom deco so you should check it out.

We ordered take out and our food was amazing! Tacos are huge ! It comes with sides which are all really good too! Ribs fall off the bones and the sauces to go with them are also really good. Corn was my favorite! The green sauce on it was amazing! Despite us not sitting down the service was great! They forgot to pack our corn and without much time of us stepping outside we got a call. Luckily we always check our food and met at the door to grab our corn (trust me you want the corn!)

4.5 stars I have been searching for a great local BBQ spot for quite a while now. Now I have no need to look any further!! Pretty fantastic bbq nachos! Super fun mix of meats, veggies, and sauces! The Mac and cheese was pretty smokin' good! We also ordered the brisket and pulled pork bbq plate. Fantastic arrangement of barbecue sauces! So fun to taste each different one! Lovely employees and a fun backyard feel!

We've been wanting to try Brimstone for a while, and we finally did tonight, but unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with the meal. The atmosphere and vibe are fantastic, but the food falls short compared to local competition. We did order take out so maybe that makes a difference? We ordered the Mexican corn, which had great seasoning, but the corn itself tasted old and lacked freshness. The burnt ends had decent flavor thanks to the sauce, but they were too dry and lacked moisture, as did the brisket, which was also lacking in flavor. The pulled pork was dry as well, but with some extra sauce, it was passable. The best meat we tried was the ribs--they were a bit dry but tender, with good flavor. Overall, the meal didn't quite hit the mark, but I'm open to trying other menu items before crossing Brimstone off my list entirely.

We've been welcomed with small details that made our evening truly special. On our last visit, aside from fresh flowers and napkins folded into hearts, they had hand-painted, wooden "Mr." and "Mrs." table placements for the newly weds we were celebrating. So thoughtful! Above all, the food never disappoints. A couple of us had Cioppino. It was generously portioned and absolutely delicious. Our husbands said their glazed pork chop and parmesan-crusted halibut were pure perfection-- moist, tender and very flavorful. The four of us topped the evening off with their Dark Chocolate Flourless Torte and Apple Pie Bread Pudding ala mode. Needless to say, it ended our evening with lots of smiles.

The seafood chowder at the Greenhouse is at the bottom of the list. It had no flavor except for the roux they must have used to make it thick. It was thick enough to use as gravy on biscuits or mashed potatoes. It was enough to cause a gag reflex. The service very friendly and they took great care of us but if they take no care making a northwest specialty it makes you wonder about the regular menu.

Our server and other wait staff were very kind and attentive. The food however was the disappointment. I was with someone who enjoyed their seafood soup and salad. I however ordered a burger & garlic fries. The fries were absent of garlic at all but that wasn't the worst part of them. They were over cooked, had a tough chew and were cold. The burger was thin, had a funky sauce that just had a weird taste. The bacon was tough and bun was overwhelming for the size of the burger. The burger didn't seem to be seasoned but was cooked well. Having been professionally trained by an executive chef, I know how flavors should be paired. This was a miss, in my opinion. I have had better burgers at the Hi Iu for less money. I was told that it was a popular item and perhaps I came on a day where the kitchen was experiencing some challenges . But based upon this meal, I doubt I'll go back.

My cup of clam chowder was enjoyable although the small cubes of potatoes outnumbered clams. The Chop Chop Chicken salad was lovely, especially the ample and freshly grilled chicken along with diced fresh tomatoes, blue cheese, hard salami, hard smoked mozzarella atop a bed of nicely dressed mixed greens. I'll state my personal preference for romaine lettuce but that did not deter me from being a member of the clean-plate club. Snack foods (chips, peanuts, similar) available at register. THE CIDERS: - I had a flight and they were all amazing. Standouts were: vanilla bean (sweet but not too sweet; light, refreshing, true vanilla flavor) and dark maple (not saccharine sweet; just on the edge with a dryness and truly outstanding flavor... dangerously delicious). - I kept expecting all of them to be overly sweet; but they all kept surprising me. Watermelon was another favorite. SERVICE: - Quick and kind with a smile. You'll love the vibes. SIDE NOTES: - We traveled from the Seattle area as Locust Cider had the Winchester Mystery House pinball machine on loan for the weekend. They have a full food menu that includes gluten free tater tots and chicken nuggets. Service was awesome, by the way.
