The fact that you declined refund a couple of medical health care workers with a short lunch break, who trusted your business to sell them a fully cooked taco that meets minimum health department standards is the point. First time customer. I was very pleased with the service, food and atmosphere. The young man at the register was very friendly. The food and drinks were delivered in a reasonable time. The food was tasty and delicious. Taco Son is more authentic then some of these other Tex Mex restaurants. I ordered the steak tacos and chicken burritos and horchata to drink. I've been going to Taco Son since the original opened in Tampa, so I still can't believe there's one in Wesley Chapel so close to my house. I always get the Burrito Panzon. It's always super full with fresh veggies and juicy meat (I've tried all the meat options on this burrito and have never had undercooked chicken). I've never experienced the dry meat that other reviews are complaining about. As a family, we also get tostadas and tacos which never disappoint. read more

2.2/5 trio of tacos I've tried these tacos several times...I've wanted to like them. I've tried to find the "good" in them. Unfortunately, the only thing that's been consistent about these tacos is that they are not good. The "coverup" here is a real thing. These tacos are covered with toppings; lettuce, tomatoes, onions-- sure, I COULD have ordered them without any of the toppings, but I take them as they come. Biting into these you will understand why the "coverup" exists.. all the proteins were extremely dry. The steak- rubbery; the grilled pork-like trying to swallow a rock. The shredded pork-bland and dry. All of these proteins were over cooked. Sadly, there is not much to enjoy here and certainly not a place worth enjoying your Taco Tuesday. maybe the other locations are better ‍ Just the everyday father giving you his perspective... what you do with it is completely up to you. After running errands around town so early in the morning, the kids and are were starving. I am so tired of the same old breakfast places. I have passed this place so many times and keep meaning to stop for some grub. When we entered, the staff said hello and was ready to take our order. To my surprise that had a breakfast menu. The kids and I each got the chorizo burrito with home fries for $4.99. It has chorizo, eggs, cheese, onions, and other goodies wrapped in a warm tortilla. It took no time at all for all three of our orders. The portion size was huge. I ate that thing at 10:30am and was not hungry until well after 6pm. I was so full I did not even finish my home fries. The kids each loved it and was unable to finish it. They ended up getting a lunch out of it too. It was a fantastic tasty, filling breakfast at an insane price. Today is opening day, and I have been watching to see when that open sign would be glowing! Today was the day! This use to be Chick N Peas, and now I welcome Taco Son to town. They have been in Temple Terrace for awhile and I didn't know they had a location in St. Pete. Alas a local chain not national chain in Wesley Chapel. They have the typical tacos, burritos, chimichangas, quesadillas, tortas. They also have daily specials like today was a chicken special. Friday and Saturdays are inviting with a steak ranchero and fish tacos on Saturday. Today I picked the three taco shrimp with hard, soft and flour tortillas. The shrimp has a good flavor. I can't really nail down what I liked most. Usually it's the hard shell taco, but it wasn't this time. That was plain. Maybe the corn one. My hubby had the steak torta. The best part of it is the guacamole. The bread is just ok to me. The tamale was the one I liked the most. It was a good size too. I was surprised about that. It would probably be my go to and they have four flavors - Pineapple, pork, chicken and mole, and corn and cheese. The pineapple juice had too much pulp for me. The horchata had too much cinnamon. The service was great especially for the first day! They were very helpful! All in all, glad they are in town. I wish they had sopes, carne Asada, pina coladas(even non alcoholic), and huaraches on the menu. I also wish that there wasn't so many a la carte small items that are an extra charge here and there. That means I still have my number 1. This location, though is so close to home. I know we will be back for that reason and I'll get the fish tacos and steak ranchero. read more

Three adults went for lunch Friday, 7/17. All three had different dishes. All were delicious. Great service. Friendly. Kind. My husband even went back after eating and told them how good it was. We put pics on FB and everyone said it looked yummy. Very reasonable on prices. We are very picky about Mexican food. So happy we finally found one at our back door. Small, only about 5-6 tables. That should have been a sign for me to leave, however I was town for a family vacation to the amusement parks and my family and I were starving. My rating is based on the food taste. The service was decent, however I felt rushed to eat. I ordered a chicken chimichanga. It was super gross. The chicken was DRY and chopped in cubes and not shredded. The tortilla wasn't completely fried. The beans and rice were decent. The chips didn't taste fresh. I've had better chips from a bag. The salsa was delicious. I even tried to smother some on my chimichanga, but that didn't help so I threw it away. My son had a quesadilla. He said it was good. You can't go wrong with cheese and a tortilla. My boyfriend ordered 2 beef tacos. They were out of steak. He didn't like the taste. The meat was dry. Won't ever stop here again, at least not close to their closing time!!!! Nope! We came on a Friday night and all of the staff was sitting in the booths waiting for customers. I'm pretty sure when we walked in all of the guys who were sitting dispersed into the kitchen, even if they didn't work there. After we ordered and sat down I witnessed the young man bite his finger nails and then proceed to accept an Uber order and serve guac and chips. All while NOT wearing gloves or washing his hands. This should have been my first indication to leave. I chose the 2 tacos with chicken. Let's just talk about the massive amounts of cabbage they put on my small taco to cover the 5 pieces of "warmed up" chicken they served me. After digging through my mountain of cabbage I struck gold and found what they said is chicken. The chicken is no way fresh, because it was dry and and simply warm in temperature. Nice try, but nope. My husband got a massive burrito but again with dried up, warm to touch steak. The guac is bland and the chips are stale. Steer clear of this terrible place. Ordered take out as my first time visiting this place. Ordered a couple of chicken quesadillas with everything on it. A beef empanada and a beef taco on a corn tortilla and 3 shrimp tacos. My Family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The quesadillas were stuffed with meat and plenty of onions, guacamole cheese, etc. Great value for everything we ordered. Our quesadillas were tasty and the shrimp tacos were fantastic. Finished it all off with a piece of Flan for dessert that we shared. Excellent finish to the meal. I'm so happy this place is just 10 minutes from me. Wish we didn't inhale the food just so that I could post some pictures. Will do that next time. I'm going to be a regular. read more

There was teenagers walking back & forth from the kitchen, could've worked there or couldn't have, I wouldn't know.. couldn't tell. Probably shouldn't be rapping in the middle of the restaurant either. If I could chose to not give a star, I would. They were extremely loud and laughing when I'm trying to enjoy my food. I don't recommend coming here. Also, I recommend keeping the cussing to a minimum, just a thought. And when I brought my food back to ask for cabbage & cheese, the worker said "Well I thought you didn't ask for vegetables?" Okay, well now I want them??? One of the workers who was working the register was just on the phone while customers are waiting.. We lived down the street from Taco Son in Pinellas County for years and ate there regularly. Moved to New Tampa and found this location...did not disappoint! Same delish menu, same amazing quality and same yummy taste. We are so happy to have Taco Son back in our lives. Due to COVID you cannot sit inside so we ate outside and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The food was ok for this type of establishment. I'm giving it 4 stars for the employees! They have been open a few months now. Parking is limited. But the employees hands down were the most friendly and welcoming. I felt like i was part of the family the moment I stepped out of my car. Someone was cleaning the flower pots and sweeping and welcomed me and held the door open and asked about my day. At the counter, the person taking my order was so patient with my questions and answered everything and gave suggestions. I ordered my food to go and waited at a table for it to be prepared.
