This gym is in a great location right off Rand rd in a plaza with Cosco right next door. The gym is structured around strength, HIIT(high intensity), metabolic training, and Tabata. The workouts are only 45 mins long but because of the intensity you continue to burn calories for up to 48hrs after the workout. The gym is a good size and has a ton of equipment like battle ropes, dumb bells, kettle bells, med balls, and much more. You will leave this place feeling like you really did something. The weekly workout schedule is posted every Sunday and there are 7 different camp times each day except Saturdays there are 2 morning camps and then Sundays are closed. The gym has free childcare for all you parents that are looking for a great workout. Alex will give you one on one assessments where you talk about your goals, meal plans, and track your progress. Overall an amazing gym that is nationwide so you can visit other burns if you travel. Alex is an awesome trainer and you will be hooked to the burn you receive from these quick workouts! I did what was considered the hardest class and after my ankle was swollen and my back felt like someone kicked me in it, not to say it's there fault but I would have loved to do the 15 minute sit down first and then be able to pick a class based on my abilities, I really wanted to have a smaller support group to get on track but This definitely discouraged me from coming back and now I'm spending my vacation in the bed due to the pain. I would definitely say walk in and speak with them first so that you are not in the position I was in.

As someone who hates cardio, sweating, and literally everything that revolves around the gym, GCP has this homey, friendly vibe that sucks you in and keeps you coming back. Don't know how to explain it, but you can walk into this gym in the worst mood possible, and you will walk out with a sweaty, shaky smile every. single. time. This gym will make you look forward to every workout (even the ones that include 500 million burpees). Desiree, Ashley, Nathan and the entire crew will get your heart rate up, that sweat dripping, and will safely push your limits even when you think your legs cannot hold you up any longer. GCP offers group classes with various timed stations with the perk of having a trainer to help guide you to ensure that you are using the proper form (super important for those of us who are athletically challenged). GCP has also expanded to include nutritional supplements that you can purchase onsite to add to their nutrition guides. I also like the fun (hard) little (big) challenges that you can choose to signup for throughout the year. Game Changing Performance is definitely unique to the area and unless you actively try to fail, you WILL see results. I wish the program was a little more customizable, as I do feel it to be a "one size fits most" program, and having a special plant based diet has made some of the transformation challenges in the past a bit more difficult, but I survived with a little extra work and creativity and a little extra guidance from Trevor who helped as much as he possibly could. If you're looking for a positive change with a supportive team that will hold you accountable, this is 100% the place for you.

    If you go to SAA you will accomplish whatever goals you want to achieve regarding your fitness…read more This place has top notch trainers who are well versed in many training techniques and methods with an amazing community of members who motivate each other to achieve their goals. I started at Superior in 2012, the summer before my junior year of high school. I originally wanted to work on my strength and speed as I was working towards furthering my baseball career in high school and college. I saw results after training with Will and Boone for a few months and solidified myself on the varsity baseball roster with the extra power I gained in my arm and my bat. I ended up leading the team in multiple batting categories my junior and senior year and acquired multiple looks from DI and DIII baseball programs. After my senior year, I was accepted to the Coast Guard Academy and earned a spot on their baseball roster while concurrently serving in the military. The strength that I gained from SAA helped me during boot camp and got me through that with ease. Fast forward to 2018, I recently moved back to Chicago and got involved in Olympic Weightlifting. I had a sound basis of the technique that I learned all the way back in 2012 when I first trained at SAA, but I had not trained full time for a while. I wanted to find a program that I could get personal feedback from while having a tailored and individualized workout made for me. I was confident that the coaches could bring me to another level with my lifting abilities. So I decided to take a chance and see what I could learn with the coaches at SAA. I started training with Will and Kurt in August of 2018 and I have seen tremendous gains in my technique, strength, and volume that I can lift. My lifts have gone up various amounts, and I have learned so much about training methods, technique, recovery, and programming with the coaches here. I came in clean and jerking 127kg/279lb, and SAA has helped me get to a 140kg/308lb clean and 151kg/332lb jerk. My squats have increased by 10kg/22lb in the back squat and 15kg/33lb in the front squat. I feel stronger, and I can handle much more volume in training than when I came into SAA in August of 2018. My technique has improved immensely, and I consistently receive feedback on how to lift better. Overall, the community at SAA is hard to beat. Everyone knows each other and motivates one another to reach their goals. The atmosphere is a great place to train and learn in. Everyone is there to help, and the coaches put a lot of time and effort into writing each workout and explaining each part to you. I have felt that if I ever have a problem with any part of the lifts, I can come to any one of the coaches and ask them how to fix it. I am looking forward to the future with SAA, and I am proud to be part of this community.
