First time in this booth style antique and vintage store. It is located in Westfield to the right and behind Big Hoffa BBQ. You never know what you are going to find in booth style shops. Prices were good and bad. As always prices are controlled by each individual booth owner so some are reasonable and some I would consider unreasonable. The staff in the store were all real friendly and they held our items at the counter as we shopped to keep our hands free for more items, yes that is a problem Just kidding, nice of them to do. I failed to get through the entire store so I will have to make a return trip, my friends are faster than me as I like to look at absolutely every piece to make sure I do not miss than gem I was searching for. I keep a running list of things I want to find as well as a list for some of my friends. I found plenty to bring home on this day and we had a fun time reminiscing and searching through each booth. Customer service needs some work. Lady at the front was extremely dismissive and rude. She was unable to provide helpful assistance on how the process had been updated and made us feel like we were idiots for not already understanding. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

Although I have been to Big Hoffa's BBQ and the antique shoppes in that building, I had never stopped into Tad's which sits a bit higher up the hill beyond Hoffa's. Fortunately, it has its own gravel parking lot that has access to the back of the shoppe and you don't have to fight for a spot like you do for the BBQ. Inside, there are two general spaces: Upfront is a house converted into booths that you wind your way through to look at what is available; and the more open back of the shoppe which has rows of items with well spaced aisles that allow for easy access to the booths back there. Lots of antiques and collectibles can be found, though maybe not as much furniture as some comparably sized shoppes. We did see lots of toys, baseball cards, some clothing and knick knacks too. Up front they also have a room with chalk paint supplies for refinishing your furniture with a new look/color. The folks inside were very friendly and welcoming. We found Tad's while exploring Westfield on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I enjoy browsing antique and home decor shops and Tad's didn't disappoint. Tad's sits back off the road on top of the hill just passed Big Hoffa's. Parking is located at the back of the building with a back and side entrance. This is a large space with two levels with a ramp to the second level. Booths are clean, well organized with an eclectic selection and affordable prices that are easy to find. Don't forget to go up the ramp and checkout all the treasures in this area if you enter from the back. There's so many great items here from nice quality antique furniture, mirrors, china, glassware, clocks, vintage clothing, signs, prints, paintings, pipes, cameras and about every collection you can image. You never know what you'll find. We had just purchased a growler from Field Brewery and found a new leather growler sleeve for $9. Had to purchase that! Right? My stepdaughter and I decided to go vintage shopping on Saturday and we checked out the vintage and antique shops near Carmel. Our last stop was Tad's and we were fairly impressed with the selection. It is quite large with many booths and a wide assortment of merchandise. We were greeted as we entered, offered a raffle ticket, and a coffee and sweet. My stepdaughter was looking for something specific, which we didn't find, however there were many things to look at and enjoy throughout the mall. The prices seemed reasonable at the items I looked at. However, I found a book I was interested in; inquired as to whether the seller would offer any discount, the gentleman working the check out area said he would inquire. This was the third antique store in the area that I stopped at today. The other 2 were phenomenal. I enjoyed looking throughout the store and made a purchase. My disappointment was at the checkout process and the 20 minute (at least) wait for the person in front of me to get finished. I had cash in hand and there were 2 employees. Yet one employee had to talk about her work interests, peel off stickers, ring her up, charge her card, give her a paper to write to the vendor, wait for her to finish, box up and go hold the door. I was not recognized in word or action. If I hadn't needed the item as a gift, I would have left. If I had been the lady being waited on, this would have been a much different review. However service was a bit discriminatory. read more

This weekend my family went out to a few antique stores as it was my moms birthday and that's something we all like to do together. At Main Attraction in Speedway, we picked up one of the antique shop books listing many of the antique stores in Indiana and flipped through to find something new. We decided on going to Tad's. On the way there, we got turned around a bit and passed it a couple times while looking for it since it's a little off the road and the sign isn't too big. Once inside, we see that they have some excellent prices. As the sign above the door said, it was great quality for a third of the price. We found quite a few treasures as we walked through the aisles. And before you check out, don't forget to check out the hallway and the room directly next to the register! Since we came in the back entrance, we almost missed them. We will for sure be back here some day. read more

Full disclosure - I have a booth in this mall. I've had booths in other malls too and this one is different! Each booth is unique and there is a mixture of antiques, handmade items and artful things. Vendors bring in new things DAILY. It's also not soo big that you need to pack a lunch to see everything. Everyone is friendly and happy to answer questions. read more
