The furniture is heavy, solid and quality. We learned that the Amish craftsmen are selected to build. We saw examples of solid walnut, oak, cherry and other hardwoods which were US sourced. Some pieces has artistic inlays. The workmanship is outstanding. This furniture is meant to last a lifetime. The selection ranged from bedroom sets to dining sets to coffee and side tables. There was a single sofa and three upholstered chairs. The sofa was comfortable. Prices were what you'd expect for high-end pieces. Coffee table was at $1000 for example. The clerk was very friendly and took time to explain the offering. She told us that you can order custom made pieces at the location in Castleton. She was not pushy. The store s popular so you will want to get there early. I assume that the stock turns over quickly since you are buying the pieces on the floor.

Unique items include repurposed, decorated fire extinguishers, "Real Housewives of Carmel" and "Real Housewives of Noblesville" decor. I loved the wall art. There were pictures of all sizes, even very, very large pieces that I know are hard to find. Prices were very reasonable, and there was definitely something to fit every budget. The "high quality" furniture we bought included two nightstands, that had to be assembled on delivery. In their condition, they could not assemble it properly. We had to take it apart and redo them. Contacted the store and corporate, even went down there in person. They did not care. The whole experience has been surreal. This quaint little shop was very nice and cute, and had some nice local merchandise and unique nicnacks. I walked through the shop and could tell it had a nice selection of merchandise and the value of the price appeared to be very good. I went into a separate room that had 50% off merchandise, and found a few things that caught my eye which I ended up purchasing. They were kitchen coasters and they were very decorative and attractive looking. The service at the shop was Ok. The woman behind the cashier table was very nice and said hello when I first walked into the shop. When I checked out, she was very gracious and wrapped my kitchen coasters very carefully so that they would not break. Fivethirty Home is a neat shop with great merchandise, so if you are in downtown Zionsville, you should check it out. It is very nice and worth browsing around.

The new location has lots of nooks and crannies for setting up interesting displays and they do. We stopped by while out doing some Christmas shopping and found the store packed with shoppers. Good to see people supporting these small independent shops. They carry about 1/3 vintage items like globes and suitcases and nicely painted furniture pieces, about 1/3 local artisan decor mostly Indiana themed (which I love) and then about 1/3 reproduction vintage filler such as wrapping paper and trendy letter art. In addition she carries a line of high quality chalk paint and supplies. They teach classes on how to use the chalk paint (which I've been meaning to take). The pieces that she finishes are gorgeous - mostly little side tables. Today they carried a lot of Christas themed items. The owner is very friendly and happy to provide advice on painting. She is indeed gifted. The prices on the chalk paints are a little high so I haven't taken the plunge yet until I know I have time to complete a project. I see many customers coming to buy the paint and supplies so they must be happy. There is street parking available and a free lot across the street but it can be a bear to find a spot on a Saturday. They are not opened on Sunday. I'll be back and perhaps soon I'll take one of her classes.

Prices were good and bad. As always prices are controlled by each individual booth owner so some are reasonable and some I would consider unreasonable. The staff in the store were all real friendly and they held our items at the counter as we shopped to keep our hands free for more items, yes that is a problem Just kidding, nice of them to do. I failed to get through the entire store so I will have to make a return trip, my friends are faster than me as I like to look at absolutely every piece to make sure I do not miss than gem I was searching for. I keep a running list of things I want to find as well as a list for some of my friends. I found plenty to bring home on this day and we had a fun time reminiscing and searching through each booth.
