The rental fee is already inclusive of the use of the house (airconditioned rooms with beds, pillows and showers), the pool, sports facilities (badminton, basketball and billiards) and the use of their pool. You can opt to bring your own food or order food from them for a reasonable fee. The entire place overlooks the Taal Lake and there's always a nice cool breeze, making it the perfect relaxation spot. I have taken my family and friends here and all of them love the place so much. Once you enter, you immediately feel comfortable. The atmosphere is very relaxing and homey and it just makes you want to lounge around. Although there's no beach to swim in, their swimming pool is enticing enough to make you want to jump in one you see it. I love how the whole place is secluded... away from the traffic and the noise of the city. I always recommend this place to my friends and family because you really can't go wrong with Awilihan! We were given a tour of the property, being shown the kinds of rooms they had, from the smallest suite that can fit up to four, to the biggest that can fit up to 8 comfortably. Only having less that 10 rooms, the whole hotel can only accommodate up to 40 guests. I'd like to see that as a good thing, because it can be occupied by one big family or group and they would have the entire property to themselves. My favorite would be the small room at the basement floor, which has a totally separate entrance at the side of the hotel. It has a small patio outside, complete with coffee table and perfect for quiet meals or reading a book. It's right by the highway, but just entering the lobby already gives that relaxed feel and vibe, it feels like you entered your home away from home. The general feel of the place is serene, very rustic, and exuding the relaxed and laid-back feel of the country. After all, this is Tagaytay, and there's no better quick getaway venue than the secluded Discovery Country Suites.

Many years ago, Estancia Resort Hotel was probably the it resort. However, it's now old and outdated. A family member booked our overnight stay for us, so we didn't know what to expect. When we arrived, the resort looked like a ghost town. I am pretty sure we were the only customers. Our (second) room was spacious and the beds slept comfortably. Though clean, the shower drain was clogged and left standing water. Because of the pandemic, Estancia no longer has a full service restaurant so you have to leave the resort for lunch and dinner or bring your own food. However, they do offer freshly made breakfast and can serve it anywhere you'd like in the resort. We chose to dine by the pool and enjoy the scenery. There's not much to do other than go to the pool, sit in the sauna, and walk around the huge property. If you're looking for a quiet and affordable resort to relax and unwind, Estancia might be the right fit for you.

We were a party of four with friends vacationing from the US. We booked in advance at booking.com.... the hotel was delightful. Clean and spacious. The lobby and the rooms we chose were overlooking the volcano. Of course, when we got there, the steam/ash from the volcano was covering the view. Nevertheless, the hotel has much to offer. We checked in at 2pm. The guests were few as we were allowed to check-in early. Normally, it's a 4pm check-in with a 2pm check-out. After relaxing at our rooms for a couple of hours, we decided to do the SPA. Best decsion we did that day. By the way they have an ice cream 'caritela' at the lobby . You must try the chocnut flavored ice-cream... the avocado too! All four of us truly enjoyed The VEDERA SPA. We did the 60 minute body scrub and 60 minute massage for 2800 pesos each. That was rejuvenating and relaxing. Our skin felt smooth and soft after the scrub and the massage, solid excellence - you can tell the staff are well trained therapist. Not just fly-by-day masseuse. After the massage, we had dinner indoors due to the ash fall. There was simple entertainment with a female singer accompanied by male guitarist. Pleasant tones I say. Even sang our requested songs. Come morning, the buffet was scrumptious. Tiny fried fishes were a favorite at our table. 'Tawilis' I believe. So many food options and they had TAHO!!! My childhood breakfast food...how wonderful was that! The buffet had all-american and filipino dishes. Oh and the steam/ash died down in the morning. Giving us a great view for breakfast. The concierge, counter staff, servers as well as the spa staff were great. Real assets of this hotel. Everyone was in smiles and ready to help at all times. Me and my family found the place very cozy and homey. The place had paintings, frames, designs, and other trinkets that made it feel like a house. Their bathrooms were also very clean.We later found out that it was a family owned hotel and restaurant built in honor of the parents. Because we were in Tagaytay, we had to try their Bulalo. It was the kind of Bulalo that you know is pure beef, no beef cubes used. The vegetables were fresh, the meat was tender and the broth was delicious. We knew that we found one of the best Bulalos in Tagaytay. Other than Filipino dishes, Morielli's also serves Gourmet Sandwiches, Italian Pasta and other cuisines. Aside from the food, the experience was very personal because the staff was engaging and we read about the family that owned the place and the very sweet Father-and-Son chefs. After our meal, the staff handed us cards/certificates that had our names on them, what it meant, and our qualities as a person. It was really touching and heartwarming indeed. After that, I just wanted to check-in and stay for a few days. This place felt like home; relaxing and very personal. Even if we just stayed for lunch.

This is not a five- or four-star resort for sure, but for the most part, Club Balai Isabel is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of Metro Manila. I was born in a nearby town not too far from here and I'm proud to be 100% Batangueño. During our last vacation, we booked 4 rooms via Agoda and spent a few days here with my side of the family. Located at the north shore of Taal Lake, this nine-hectare (~ 22 acres) resort offers a photographic view of Taal Volcano (and the lake, too!) It wasn't busy when we arrived, but there was a day when a couple of team-building events were held in both their indoor and outdoor facilities. Of course, there were a million scenarios on who needs to be where but the old folks did not seem to mind... eventhough they were baking under the hot sun. A month after our vacation, my father passed. Seven months later, my mother followed suit. They lived together for 51 years, but those seven months were probably too much for them to bear that the One above decided to bring them back together again... for eternity. Club Balai Isabel turned out to be our last hurrah with my parents. While this place will forever have a special place in my heart, I gave it four stars because we did have a pleasurable respite here. The staff were friendly and we did not have any issues with security either. Our rooms had a view of the volcano and the lake so I didn't even have to go far for some perfect photo opportunities.
