The service was great the lady was really sweet, open to any questions and explained everything fully. The selection was great with different sizes of buckets to mine, merchandise and the types of crystals. My 2 friends and I shared a 35$ bucket which was honestly plenty to split for the experience (we each roughly got 22-25 crystals each). A friend of mine and I were walking past the doors. One of which was open. My friend looked in and two people were standing there. We saw no signs and instead of asking if they could help us or direct us in the right direction he said this is employees only. While my family and I enjoyed our visit to the gem mine right before Memorial Day, my review is for their customer service after we left. I spent over $300 for them to make rings out of 2 different stones we got out of our bucket.  I've called more than once to speak to a manager, it's been over a week and I have not gotten any returned calls despite having them confirm my phone number, name, and issue was accurate.  I feel like they were friendly and seemed sincere while taking the message.  At this point it could be a ruse and they just sound pleasant and have no intention of returning calls.  The people I spoke to were unable to state whether they could find my order in the system bc they did not have access.  They said a manager would return my call. It has been over 9 weeks since our visit and I have not received the email they promised that should include the tracking number on my package, nor have I received my jewelry that's probably only valued at $50. I'm very disappointed and hope to receive some sort of response from them.  I would much prefer to have the jewelry made that I picked out.  It would also be nice to even just have someone call to say, sorry we lost your order how can we fix this? read more

This is a really neat place for kids and adults alike. Ok maybe it's neater for the girls... When you get here you can either sit inside or outside (under a roof) on either side where there's a trough with water running through it. You go inside the store to pay for your bucket and they give you voucher. There's all sorts of choices for your mining bucket. You can get a kind of anything bucket from $15 to $500. Or you can choose certain gemstone buckets if you're wanting to find a certain one, instead of hoping. You're guaranteed more of those stones if you go for the specialty. If you spend $50 or more you can get one of your stone's cut to a carat for "free", up to $15. Then you can get it set in a pendant, ring, earrings, etc, for a small fee. It's not a bad price, setting a ring will go between $25-$40 and a necklace even cheaper. If you're looking for a nice, unique gift or a great way to remember your trip then this is a great place! Daughter had loads of fun and the cheapest bucket produced a lot of gems. Would have cost $100 elsewhere to buy them all individually. As a previous review stated, the young male with stringy blonde hair was a piece of work. He was sweeping when we came in to an empty area. He never acknowledged us. He finally stopped sweeping and angrily (almost stomping his feet) walked past me with a scowl on his face never acknowledging our presence. He slammed open the door, walked outside and in through another door after slamming it open, and then stood at the register staring at me with a scowl. He barked how much the buckets cost and that was all he said. When my daughter chose a bucket he grabbed one and slammed it on the counter. If my daughter wasn't with me I'd have brought this kid down back down to earth real quick. No reason to treat customers like they're impeding on your day. Management needs to get this little weasel in check. All in all it was fun and worth the money, minus the poopy pants employee. read more
