Booked a private wakesurf charter through GetMyBoat, paid in full 3 weeks in advance. Received a booking confirmation and then a text 3 days before confirming the trip was on. This was a special outing for my daughter and her three college friends -- their only weekend in Tahoe together. We drove 45 minutes to the meeting spot and paid $10 to park. Arrived at the dock 15 minutes early and called Jeff to check in -- straight to voicemail. Minutes later, GetMyBoat sent a cancellation notice. No call, no text, no explanation from Jeff himself. Weather was perfect, and four other boat groups were being picked up at the same dock that morning, so there was no weather-related reason for the cancellation. We did get a refund, but nothing makes up for losing the girls' only chance at a day on the lake. If a last-minute cancellation happens, the least you can do is call your customer directly instead of letting them find out by way of a system notice. Very disappointing and unprofessional -- I would not recommend booking with this company. read more

He had many options for wet suits and life jackets and a variety of equipment. It was really my call. The boat was spacious, perfect seating positions and very clean. Tahoe Wake Charters is the way to go if you're looking for an epic day! Stoike took some friends and I out on beautiful Lake Tahoe for an incredible afternoon. I am an incomplete para-athlete, and Stoike helped me get back on a wakeboard for the first time since my accident. We brought a sit-wakeboard out and told him we're not sure how this is going to work. He helped us figure it out and was incredibly stoked the whole time, which made the learning process super fun. We had a GREAT boat ride with Jeff. He was a fantastic teacher and taught our adult son how to wakeboard and surf behind his pristine boat. We innertubed and could have waterskied, since he has all the toys, as well as wetsuits. He knows the area well and told us stories about the lake, history, people who live there. He was fun, relaxed and had the perfect vibe. With COVID, he let us decide how much masking and social distancing we needed to feel comfortable.
