My friend and I traveled here during our trip to Gold Beach. The people were very kind and the breakfast burritos were really good! The coffee was good, but we found that it was a bit expensive for what you got. That's okay though, as I am an avid coffee lover and supporter. My friend and I were driving from Sacramento to Portland (and back) last weekend and stopped in Rogue River for gas. While we were filling up, I noticed Tailholt Coffee. We could use a break some we decided to give it a try. That was a great decision! Tailholt has really good coffee, amazing baked goods, and the barista that served us was excellent. We liked it so much that we planned our return trip around stopping back on the way home the next day. The same barista was there by herself, and there were a few orders before us, but she was really calm and was keeping everything going smoothly. When we got to the front, she asked if we wanted the same drinks as the day before! I thought she may be kidding, but she said "Whole Milk Cap and Vanilla Latte with Oatmilk, right?" That's some great customer service. I'm not sure why in the world another reviewer complained about the prices. Most espresso drinks were $5 or $6. I don't know what other cafes in the area are charging, but that's the cheapest coffee I've had in years. Tailholt is great and we'll be stopping in any time we are in the area. I'm on a two week road trip, so of course coffee is the first thing I need in the morning to get through the long day of driving. We stopped here, and boy, I'm so glad we did. I got the iced Mocha because it was a popular choice by multiple reviews. It was the perfect mix of chocolate and coffee, not overly sweet. The Barista was very nice and let us fill our water bottles. This is a cute place, they shirts, coffee and tea, I wanted to get some, but this was the first full day of my roadtrip and our car was stuffed. I wish this were closer to home. read more

Such a cute coffee shop! We stopped passing through on our way back north. They have many good selections. I had a mocha and my husband had an Americano. Both were very good. It was mid afternoon during our four and a half drive to Florence, Oregon. My oldest daughter and I needed a coffee break. The town of Rogue River was coming up, so we decided to stop there for coffee. Oldest daughter located Tailholt, which had excellent reviews. She ordered hazelnut & pistachio latte and I had my usual Americano, iced. Both were excellent tasting, the best on this vacation so far. The interior decorations were really cool. This is our go to place when we are in Rogue River. They have tons of events but we have only been there for coffee and breakfast. The coffee is really good, any place that offers a cortado is good with me! The baristas are friendly and it's the cafe itself is very cool. You have choices too! There is inside seating, a back patio and a few tables out front. You don't even HAVE to pet the precious dog and that hangs outside with his owner but I can't pass by without giving him a quick scratch. read more

Quaint little shop in downtown Rogue River. Though the city has other coffee options, this is the only sit down family friendly spot with REAL coffee. Some beer and wine on tap as well, and if you're lucky you may stumble upon some live music. Friendly service, at a pace that yields good coffee. Stopped here to try a local coffee shop in Oregon, as I work in a local cafe in Carmel California! So I always love trying new spots! I usually go for chai lattes, but the barista let me know that if I am a spicy chai girl like she is then this chai may not do it for me and recommend me an iced latte. So I ordered both an iced vanilla latte and an iced chai.( wanted to try it anyways) but the chai I 10/10 don't recommend if you like a bold flavorful tea latte, It's taste like loose leaf tea steeped in hot water and refrigerated. The owner of TailHolt goes above and beyond to ensure that his customers have the best experience they can have. Jay has the fine details covered, and one of those is his custom blend that he has roasted for his coffee house. It is one of the best that I have ever had. I come from an extensive background in Coffee Roasting, and the industry as a whole. I have worked for Starbucks Coffee as a General Manager, and La Boulangerie as a Food Consultant/ Product Implementation Manager. He has amazing coffee, and food. His staff, and him are always there with a smile to greet you. He is one of the few people that I have met that I knew from that moment that he cared about his community and the people that he serves! I highly recommend you make the effort to find this gem! I stopped in here earlier this year because I heard they sell Old Sol honey and that is the best honey I've had. My daughter and I had a bagel and lemon muffin, I had a mocha and we go back now every time we visit southern Oregon. The bagel was amazing, I've not been able to find anything close to the quality they served and I've been looking! The mocha was exceptional as well. Can't wait to go back! read more
