Angyla took notes and really listened to me about my pets and their quirks. We ended up booking their overnight services for 7 nights and Angyla kept me updated with photos and texts which we really appreciated. My son missed his cats and she sent photos of them which he appreciated!! Their rates are very reasonable and our house was very clean and our pets were so happy when we got home. The biggest compliment came from my husband who said this was the most relaxed he has been on vacation in a long time and I give Hey Buddy ALL the credit for that. I always feel guilty when I go away on trips and have to leave my cat by himself, but Susie helped alleviate that feeling by sending frequent updates and commenting on behavior that I know she'd only observe if she was really spending time with him. After I returned from my trip, Tara followed up with me to make sure that everything went smoothly while I was away, and to ask if there's anything they could have done to make my experience with them easier or more enjoyable. I'm a bit iffy on this place. Why? So I have been to a few of the daycares around town. There's a…read moreparticular style of daycare that I don't find to be very stimulating for dogs and this place kind of fits that format. While it is convenient for me, when I watch the cameras, it looks like the dogs are just wandering around like zombies. Usually other daycares have more interaction with staff. There's maybe one staff member to like 15 or 20 dogs. The other thing is I'm not entirely sure they actually understand dog behavior. Because a lot of the dogs are restless and have zero structure, they don't have great socializing manners. My dog is an intelligent breed who will correct dogs who are rude or in his face and it gets tiring for him if he's doing that more than the staff. So when they told me that they had put him away because he was air nipping at dogs, that was strange. I've never had a report of him having behavior issues. Now if they had told me he seemed tired and needed to be to decompressed, that's fine. Maybe it was the staff's wording. And why she needed to report it to me I don't know because that's just a normal part of daycare and dog behavior. So after reading the reviews I did see instances in which dogs that are being aggressive to begin with or annoying aren't being corrected and then when the dog goes to correct them, which is dog etiquette, the dog who asserts boundaries to protect themselves gets punished? That to me shows a lack of understanding about dog behavior. I've watched the webcams at other daycares, and staff know how to separate dogs or to keep things from escalating and know when it's appropriate to put a dog away in a crate for a little time without making the dog feel bad or without making the owner think there's some big issue. I'm trying to gauge whether he actually likes going here. He comes home tired but not looking happy. And whenever we go there in the morning, he tends to whine, which he doesn't do at the other locations we've been. So this one will probably start getting rotated out of his daycare choices for the week. But on the positive side, I do like that they have a little events for the dogs or special treats and get your permission. I just don't feel very confident that it's anything more than just like a room full of dogs all walking around in circles. Like at least interact with them a little bit? Maybe add another counselor or two per group? Make me feel like everybody is taking classes about dog behavior and understand different dog breeds and how dogs are meant to interact? Also the webcam never seems to work very well. I'll watch on the phone or don't even try to watch on the laptop and it goes in and out but at least they have a webcam because barx parx doesn't. And there may be people and dogs who love this place or love the locations in other parts of Las Vegas but for intelligent breeds, I just don't think this place is very stimulating or matches well with his needs. Maybe this is just what happens when you take a bunch of dogs regardless of personality and throw them in together. Dogs have different play styles and some dogs are annoying to other dogs. But here, it just feels like a major free-for-all. The staff are mostly friendly, but maybe also communicating different things to the dog owners in a different way would have probably avoided me feeling less confident about this place because now I'm worried about who my dog is with during the day. If you don't know dogs, that's kind of concerning.... And I'm not seeing anything in my experience or my dog's reactions or through the webcam that makes me feel confident... And with that many dogs per one counselor, I can see where it would be easy for a dog to get hurt.

The professionalism from Pets R Family was evident right away. Before the first time Scott sat for us he came over to get all of the information he'd need to care for our pet and home. He asked about our vet, emergency contact numbers, water preference, foods, etc. For our home he asked about things like the trash schedule and mailbox location. I know many people like boarding their pets, but I love the convenience of having my pet cared for in our home where he feels safe and comfortable. I love that I don't have to drop off and pickup, especially for early morning departures and late returns. In the past boarding meant parting with my pet the night before a trip. Now I just leave for my trip knowing my pet will be checked on. So easy! Scheduling sitting is so easy. We had the initial meeting years ago and now I just text Scott the dates we need him. He has always been available and has never left me scrambling to find another option. When I'm away I get occasional texts letting me know that all is well. When I was nearing my due date with my daughter I asked Scott to be "on call" and he was happy to do so. So when it was time to head to the hospital all I had to do was text Scott. It was such a relief to know that my pet and home would be watched over. When I return from trips I always return to a happy, cared for pet and my home as I left it. This time I was away in Europe for 10 days, and decided to hire Pets R Family Too and see how it goes. They first of all came to visit to see and meet the dogs and understand requirements. Then we discussed the price and schedule. As I left I was a bit nervous, but they were in constant touch over the email, which helped put me at ease. When I got home, my dogs were happy to see me, but they were also relaxed. I could not believe it! My house was also in order with zero accidents!!! Overall-Scott and Kim are great and I am looking forward to work with them in the future!
