Awesome place! Terrific beer and a very large selection. Great atmosphere. Friendly. Don't miss Tailspin if you're in Western Ohio!

Outside back, showing upstairs and downstairs options. Taken from the gravel parking lot.

Very nice, relaxed experience. Inside a renovated barn, the place has a lot of character and a downstairs bar that's been well thought out concerning foot traffic and ordering. The barkeeps know their beer, both of Tailspin, other locals and beer in general. Nice talking beer with people who love it as much as you do. $5 pints with plenty of snack options and outdoor seating, both upstairs and down. Their Pale Ale is a little too hoppy and should probably be called an IPA. Seems they keep playing with it but they definitely need to tone down the hops for those not into it. Highly recommend checking this place out.

This is another great out in the middle of nowhere brewery. They have your basic craft beers, with a focus on hoppier beers. They still need a little tweaking in some of their styles, but it's not bad. They do get creative though, like a doppelbock blonde ale. My favorite here is their cream ale. Anyone who can master that is aok in my book. They have light bites for purchase like chips, pretzels and beer cheese and occasionally they have a food truck on site. You can carrying as well. Kids are allowed and dogs can be on the 2nd story balcony patio only. They have a second floor much like a German beer garden. Some high top tables and open floor plan. You will need to go downstairs for beer though. It's a nice little spot that I hit Everytime I'm in the area.

When a Muncie local tells me to get the toasted ravioli at The Guardian Brewing, I get the toasted…read moreravioli at The Guardian Brewing. Now, I could probably never eat another toasted ravioli for the rest of my life and I'd be perfectly fine, but I had to try them. Not bad! I've had toasted ravioli in St. Louis, which is the supposed birthplace of the food, and these would rival any in the Gateway City. I didn't just want to sit at the bar and stuff my face full of cheese and pasta. So I ordered a pizza, so that I could also stuff my face full of cheese and bread. The pizzas here are sized for an individual to enjoy, but they could also be a nice little sharable snack between two people. I got the Bill the Butcher, which is a meat-forward pie with beer-infused pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, bacon, chicken, sausage, ham and steak. It's a lotta meat! But it was delicious. All of the pizzas have interesting names and even more interesting ingredients, and now I'm kind of wishing I had ordered the Crust Punk Deluxe. Maybe next time! I feel like I missed an opportunity by not getting any of the beer here. But I did buy a pub glass to take home with me. I just wasn't feeling like beer when I visited, but the next time I'm in Muncie, I will definitely stop by for some beer. The service here is very accommodating and friendly. I wanted for nothing, but also, the guy manning the bar was very chill and knew when to hang back.

We ordered pizza and garlic cheese sticks, both were really good and came out fast. The space is fairly large so despite it being a Saturday night, we didn't feel crowded. They also have bingo the first Tuesday of every month and trivia on the second Tuesday.
