This is the original Moeller Brew Barn, now having expanded to Troy and Dayton. What a peaceful place to spend time together with friends or loved ones. My wife and I came here for our anniversary and it was so relaxing, with the sun setting over the western horizon and the Barn not to packed it was a perfect night. The Brew Barn is awesome with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and that really cool modern barn vibe that we all love. With a great menu with pizza, shareable (like 10 barrel pretzel or totchos) to handhelds (cheesesteaks, shrimp tacos or pulled pork to name a few) the menu will have you licking your chops like your favorite K9 back home. All pizzas are brick oven and they do have some stadium dogs too if that the fixing you are looking for. They have happy hour Tuesday - Thursday 3pm-5pm, Friday 11am-5pm and Sunday 9am-8pm. Also on Sunday they have a buffet for lunch from 9am-noon. This location is probably my favorite because it isn't in the city, surrounded by lots of noise, it's off the beaten path and the road less traveled. The service is great and they are super welcoming. Head out to Maria Stein for a slower Saturday or Sunday afternoon and enjoy the original Moeller Brew Barn, it's a great delight. read more

I've been to Moeller Brew Barn twice now and I can confidently recommend this play to anyone! The venue itself is extra spacious with plenty of parking outside and even more seating inside and on their outdoor area. It depends on the day and how busy they are, but I've experience both a table waitress and ordering at the counter. The food is very good! I've had the pretzel both time and the sauces were delicious and this last time we also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and a hot hen pizza. They have a large beer menu, varying from light to fruity to dark, as well as seltzers and wine available. It's a family friendly establishment and the perfect place to meet up with friends. Moeller Brew Barn is the coolest thing in this area. It's pretty much the only thing in Maria Stein happening. Other than football at the high school. It's just in the middle of nowhere. There's no real quick way. It literally is a barn. It was converted into a brewery several years ago. The inside doesn't look too much like a barn, since it has been completely renovated. Getting here sucks because this is away from any decent size city. It felt like it took us forever getting from the interstate. There's almost nothing between here and there. It has a bar area. This was surprisingly easy to get a seat at in spite of it being packed. It has a patio area. This is nice when it's warmer. I had the Wally Post Red. It's about $3.50 a pint. This is one of their signatures. It's a smooth red ale. There's also a food menu. It's small bites. They have stuff like chips and salsa. I would come again if around this area. It's not likely since there's not much to do here. This is worth it to make one trip. read more

I've wanted to stop into Moeller Brew Barn for quite some time, and it sure didn't disappoint! They host brunch occasionally, and it was wonderful. Opting for their traditional brew-mosa first with orange juice and their Honeywagon IPA, I swapped the first beer for their Blood Orange Krüsh in a second brew-mosa. I'm not a huge IPA fan, and I did prefer the second after sampling, but both were fantastic regardless! The building you can't not comment on. It's such a fun, rustic, laid back vibe, whether you're here for brunch, a few beers, food, or friends. It's wonderful! The place is huge, tons of tables, big patio, everything was super clean and inviting. The beer selection was huge and they really would have something for everyone. My husband and I split 3 flights of 4 and still didn't try all the beers they had on draft! It's definitely not an interstate pit stop, so you get to drive through some beautiful small towns on the way. Moeller combines the rustic charm of the Midwest countryside with all the amenities of a modern microbrew. The beer selection is wide (try the Mississippi Smoked Pecan!), and it's accompanied by a full kitchen. The restored barn is beautiful inside and out on the patio, where you can take in vistas of farmland and silos. They also have space to accommodate casual events if you are interested. For a small brewery they make a very diverse selection of beers! from light to dark to how's to posters. my favorites are their Helles and Dunkel. they have light bites available for purchase including meat and cheese trays and pretzels with dip. you can also bring food in. they have a nice patio out front that allows dogs outside. they regularly have a band or musician playing on weekends. it a wide open space with wood walls so that t does tend to get loud inside really quick. They have music a few times a month, plenty of kinds of beer, and a nice selection of snacks, it looks like they're expanding their space and their menu in the near future. For beers I like their Wally Post Red and the Rooster Bock and I feel like there is usually something new to try as well. My son and I stopped here on a day of craft beer brewery visits. This is one of the best I have been to in Ohio. Rural setting. In a huge barn. About 15 signature taps. My favorite was the blackberry wheat. They also have stouts and Porters among other styles. Highest abv is around 7%. We were out specifically looking for breweries and this was on the list, number one to be exact. Did not disappoint at all!!! We only got the pretzel and wings, but OMG, they were delicious!! We tried several of the beers and all were good. Favorites were the dunkelweizen and the dirt track kolsch. But, all were good. Good beer-let's start there. Solid IPAs with the Honeywagon IPA taking the lead. Sounded sweet but wasn't. Had more flavor than the Frogtown. If you're a hop head, go Honeywagon. All pints are $4, which is really good. I really like when a place has ALL beer at one price. The layout of the bar could be better-perhaps redesign the entire thing. I can definitely see this place expanding with as busy as it was. Really wish there was a spot at the bar where people could order that was out of the way of those sitting and also trying to get in. When it gets busy the bar really bottle necks the place and it gets really crowded and uncomfortable. Also seems the barkeeps are scrambling, getting in one another's way and splashing glass water up onto the bar. Thankfully my beer was covered because ... ...there were way too many flies. Kept having to swipe them away. There were so many flies in the growler dispenser fighting to get out I couldn't get David Cronenberg out of my head (The Fly reference.) The brewery is surrounded by farmland and with the front and back doors being kept open, well, it's of no surprise. One worry driving there was if the smell of manure would be experienced inside, but it seemed not to pervade the building. So, definitely visit this brewery, but do it in the winter.... read more

So 1 hour drive one way to meet some of my wife's friends here for dinner. Well Worth The Trip! Excellent food, great service, reasonable prices. I got the Meatza pizza and it was outstanding. I also did a flight of beers and they were all great. From the beer menu i was afraid that I would not like many because they all had fruity descriptions and most of the othe microbrews i have visited when there is a fruit in the description the fruit taste is to overpowering. Put not here just a small bite of grapefruit or orange in these. Very well balanced. Dinning/bar area was extremely clean and looked brand new. What is not to love about this place especially when there is no place else to go in the area? Moeller is barn like building that happens to brew some amazing beer. There are tables for gathering, tv's for watching the reds and buckeyes, and variety of beer to drink. They also have snack options to munch on likes pretzels, cheese and meats. Their taps do vary but they usually have IPA's, ales, red, stouts, wheat and porters. On weekends they have live entertainment and in the process to expand. You can call and ask about a tour, go on Thursday nights and the brewmaster will give you one, or just ask about it at the bar. They do get busy on the weekends so be patient if you can't find a seat. read more

I have had most if not all of the Moeller beers at different restaurants around Greenville so I already knew the products. What was a treat for me is how clean and inviting the building is. When you walk in you are immediately hit with the sweet aroma of grain. 2 of us sat down and were greeted by a very knowledgeable lady who gave us the run down of available beers. We both ordered a flight of 4, 5 oz beers. They were of course great. We also had the spinach artichoke dip which went well with the drinks. Fun little place to stop in and have a drink or 4. Interesting place in a very rural setting across the road from a large dairy farm. This is all good except for the smell of manure wafting through the open garage door on occasion. The beers were quite good, tried a couple IPA's and a Saison. All three were very good. They had a decent selection, 10 taps if I recall. No guest taps. Very little in the way of food, got a meat and cheese plate that was straight from the grocery store. They even served it in the store container. Nice looking place, several muted TV's , lots of wood. They also had those CO2 growler filling stations. Service was fine at the rail. Worth a stop. read more

Cool place. The only problem is the noise. when it gets busy it is so loud you can't even have a conversation or get through the place comfortably. They play music loud and you end up yelling at each other, that part is not so great. The beer is good. I suggest going at off hours when it is not so crazy.
