Later that afternoon, I received a cancellation notice for a CONFIRMED appointment. When I got off work I called and inquired why. I was told because there was no credit card on file. If one was requested at the time I booked the appointment, I would have left one. We arrived at 11:05 for our 11:30 appointment; signed wavers and was offered a beverage. We chose white wine and didn't know it would be warm. My best friend received her massage first and just when my feet were in the water, they were taken out. The massage therapist was ready for me. So my best friend started with her pedicure. After my massage, there was a period of waiting. A long period, in which we binged on Good Girls. There is only one nail tech on duty, it was explained that sometimes there are two on Thursdays. I made sure that my friend was able to receive the signature chocolate experience. Time did not allow me to take advantage of anything special. We were there so long that I lost the desire anyway. At some point, you could hear light growls from our stomachs. No one ever offered us anything other than the initial welcome glass of warm, white wine. Upon completion, we were told at the register that the business adds a four percent charge to all credit card purchases. RIDICULOUS! That's on the total! When asked why no one shared that we could save if we paid cash, the response was "I didn't book your appointment". In spite of how long we were there, we still left a nice tip for our services and purchased two bottles of chocolate oil.

The owners are very very nice and attentive! They kept the shop open late for me so my hair was processed correctly. My hair was washed, brushed through, trimmed, permed, and washed again and dried! A long process and they were so nice and detailed and also gentle with my hair (i have had salons express frustration at the length and how easy it is to tangle before- put me off. I have short hair and she cut off the amount that I wanted, but she chopped a huge chunk behind my bangs and it looks a little funky. My boyfriend says it's adorable, but I'll miss half of my bangs for the next couple of months. Most hairdressers keep you facing the mirror so you can see what is going on, and walk around you as they work. She had me facing in all different directions and when she didn't want to turn the chair or move, she turned my head- in very uncomfortable directions. (I had an icy hot patch on my neck today from an excruciating kink, I'm trying to convince myself that I have bad pillows and that it wasn't her turning my head in weird ways yesterday.) I think hairdressers moving heads should only consist of up and down. $6 is pretty cheap for a haircut, but maybe next time I'll pay a little more for a happy hairdresser that doesn't cut my bangs off. There are hundreds of colors to choose from from DND and OPI, from what I saw, as well as dip powders. I don't know the name of the young lady that serviced me, but she took her time and did a great job on my nails -- I love the shape as well as my color. Spa O is not glitz and glam in my opinion, and so far, they seem like they do a good job on basic services. I'll be back in the future for a basic gel mani using ClassPass because that's the more economical option.

The salon workers are all very friendly and the salon is clean and cozy. I got the basic pedicure, which was no frills, but fairly priced. They have a lot of polish options, including no chip and Dazzle Dry. After my pedicure, I was able to hang out for a little while under the dryer to make sure that my polish was truly dried. My nail tech was detail oriented, but efficient so I was able to get in and out quickly. I would come back again for another basic service. They have a combo mani/pedi during the week for only $50 - I'm excited to go back to try it out!

The guy who removed my gel x was extremely rough on my nails that they were extremely damaged by the time he was done. All my nails had a ring of fire due to how rough he was. It's been exactly 2 months since I've gotten my gel x removed here and the damaged nails are finally almost done growing out. He even had the audacity to blame the previous nail tech who did my gel x nails that my nail condition was poor, and i then stated to him, "That's interesting, when I got these gel x on, the nail tech told me my nails were in good & heathy condition, which I agree with. I did my own inspection of my nails and they looked healthy and not damaged since that nail tech worked with good care." Also, while I was getting my nails soaked off, a customer from the previous day came back because she realized there was an inconsistency in some of her nails, so she asked to get it fixed. More proof that their attention to detail, service & care here is not good.
