Hmmm........I Wonder!!!! Just a bit of curiosity about this food truck and wondering why it's not a Brick & Mortar restaurant. I ordered the Steak Hibachi with fried rice and vegetables for myself and the same thing, except chicken instead of steak for my wife yesterday evening. It took about seven or eight minutes with one order ahead of us. We all see our food and it sets us up to what might be expected to come for taste. And then of course the aroma can definitely a huge turn off if it smells bad. Proportions were great, bright and colorful. And then of course aroma coming from the to go box. Ahhh, I couldn't wait to try it! Steak, cooked perfectly, veggies crunch and not over cooked, and the fried rice. Let's just say the fried rice was some of the best fried rice I've had in quite some time. This meal could easily be served in a very nice hibachi restaurant and I would certainly be a patron. This food truck is set in a small food truck court City Pump Food Truck Court and Libations. I will do a separate review of this old gas station converted into a small place to have a cold beverage and surrounded by food trucks outside. Go try this food truck. You won't be disappointed. read more

This is by far the worse hibachi I have had in all NWA. No flavor at all, noodles tasted oily and old. Chicken felt boiled, rubbery with no flavor. A waste of $50 save your money read more

Awesome ffood! I've been here twice and and amazed how good the food is. The first trip was a combination shrimp and scallops. As good a meal as any restaurant and this is coming from a go old truck. Flavor was great and the food was very fresh. Today I had Hibachi Chicken and it also was very good. The vegetables were crisp and perfectly cooked and the chicken was great You can take your food inside "City Pump" and enjoy it with a locall brew or if the wweather is good, enjoy the outside. I definitely have added this truck to my list. read more

Lost our ticket on a chicken fried rice and crab Rangoon order. Took 40 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we were given our food. Crab Rangoon was fresh, chicken and rice were not hot off a hibachi and were clearly just scooped into the container. No vegetables, just rice and chicken that had not been "fried ". Lady at the window blamed the wind for losing the ticket and apologized but after the wait and plain food I wouldn't recommend this place. If you're here the atmosphere is good and the Cuban food truck never disappoints. read more

I had the chicken katsu and it was better than just about anywhere else I've had this dish. Perfectly cooked and tasty. The accompanying veggies seemed pretty overcooked to me but I'm sure it is a matter of personal taste. They seem to give you an enormous portion of rice underneath the food, which I could not finish, but I thought that made it a good value for people who want to really fill up on this meal. I definitely recommend the chicken katsu and my husband tried their hibachi chicken which looked and smelled great, too. Compared to other food trucks in the City Pump lot, prices and options seemed a lot better here, and I'm glad I chose Takashimura Hibachi Express over some of the others. We seemed happier with our food than friends who chose other trucks. read more

Great service and awesome food. Me and my husband stopped here on our way home and it was about 20 bucks for the both of us. The portion size is just right and the wait was not very long at all. It's amazing what these guys did with a uhaul moving van. They converted it into a food truck that serves amazing food. If I had to list any cons about this place it would probably be that they need more seating and a better location for their sign. All in all an awesome place to eat. read more

One of my favorite things about this truck is the location! I love grabbing some food while enjoying music or chatting with friends on the picnic tables. I usually get the noodle with veggie dish. My only complaint is that they are a little stingy with the veggies, but the flavor is great, and it is a filling meal. Their sushi is good too! read more

I love the Chicken Katsu and rice and the Egg Rolls! The last time I had it they also included delicious fresh steamed veggies, Zucchini and Yellow Squash as I recall. I really haven't tried much else on the menu because these are SO good! I also love the opportunity to sit either indoors or outdoors at City Pump and enjoy a glass of wine or soft drink. The dog friendly environment is great. People are friendly, prices are reasonable. read more

Food was extremely dry, had the steak and chicken combo. The steak was like over cooked hamburger meat and the chicken was possibly a few days old or reheated several times.. zero sauce and very little flavor. Love hibachi food just not this location. read more

This a good alternative to those who enjoy Shogun. I've eaten here about 4 times since they opened in early summer it has always been good except for once when the hibachi chicken tasted like it had been re-heated. All other times have been excellent. I prefer the Katsu chicken. read more

$6.50 for 4 of the tiniest spring rolls I have ever seen! They are vegetarian and had half a teaspoon of veggies in them. I only received one dipping sauce for two orders but honestly I didn't need the second sauce because the rolls are so tiny. The first one I bit into was cold in the middle. Thought wed give this place a try since its new and all. We got the chicken and steak. It was a $12.00 box of fried rice with a few pieces of meat and even less vegetables. The crab ragoons were good. The window girl tried charging $38.00 for an $18.00 meal. We wont be going back. If we want oriental in pea ridge well go to rainbow house, they are good every time and you get more than just rice. read more

Delicious! Excellent! Superb! I highly recommend this place and give it the highest rating for taste, presentation and portion size. I never expected to get food like that out of a food truck.
