Not the best. Not the worst. We odered the assorted tempora. It was pretty much just all sweet potato. I could taste the freezer on it. And the grease. We got the eel roll. It was OK. And another type of roll. I could taste the old rice with it. You don't get soup or anything extra like other places but they charge you like other places. Kobe Sushi is a bit of a hole-in-the wall with a few very standout dishes. When you arrive, you are greeted by one of the very nice wait staff and a sample of one of their sushi rolls. Our favorite thing here BY FAR is the Deluxe Ahi Tuna Bowl - whether you dine-in or take out, this is a HUGE amount of food and is basically a big delicious deconstructed sushi roll. The bowl includes crab, tuna, seaweed salad, avocado and much more. You boyfriend likes to stir it all up to get a nice mixture of flavors in every bite. If you are really hungry you can order one just for yourself, but we usually split it. With the soup that comes with it, we are very satisfied. Kobe has other things (like sushi and sashimi), and I've tried several rolls. Kobe roll is probably my favorite. The crawfish roll and the sashimi weren't quite as delicious, but I'm still working on trying more of the menu. I had forgotten about this absolute gem for so long. We popped in for a quick lunch and some time to catch up. We were greeted promptly and kindly. Lunch specials are fantastic and allow the ability to try multiple different rolls, which I'm a huge fan of. One companion ordered a bento box lunch and the portions were generous but not overwhelming. Everything tasted fresh and had good flavor. The miso soup was a bit watery but I'm willing to overlook that for the quality of the other food and experience. This was also far more relaxed than other options. They refer to this place as the Bas Station because it originated down the street in a Gas Station. Later a pharmacy chain made on of those deal you can not refuse and the moved to this location across the street. Not much to look at on the outside but looks can be deceiving. Walk in and you are immediately hit with great service. They almost fall over themselves trying to serve you. Rather plan interior but the focus is on the the customer as opposed to trying to impress with the surroundings Given my preferrence, I would prefer a restaurant that focuses on Service, Cuisine and Quality as opposed the the physical surrounding This one fits the bill. Walk in and service is great from the start. It's like you are part of the family. Looked over the menu and decided on the Crawfish Bowl. Turned out to be an excellent choice but it was pushing my limit. I like dishes with heat and spice and this one definately hat it. I mean..they can charge insane prices since there aren't many sushi options in Bentonville. Lunch is more worth it for the price. Otherwise, a sushi bowl during dinner (which is the same portion as lunch but more expensive which doesn't make sense to me), costs $14. I asked for tempura flakes and it was an extra $1 (which they didn't disclose to me at all because I wouldn't pay $1 just for tempura flakes). I got a tuna bowl which comes with a slice of avocado, mayo, a large portion of rice, some measly small pieces of tuna (which for a slab of freshly cut tuna at a supermarket it only costs $5), and seaweed salad (costco sells huge portions of seaweed salad for $15). My total for the bowl was $16. You're basically paying for the rice. I feel cheated eating here. read more

I ordered the Dinner Bento Box, which included miso soup, shrimp teriyaki, a dumpling, and the spicy tuna rolls. The soup was INSANELY salty-- like I could feel the liquid drying up in my eyeballs as I was eating the broth, that's how salty it was. Service was so sad. We were the second couple here at 7:30pm. Place was empty. The older lady that takes your order and brings you water had the driest personality. I mean dry, dry. No smile, no expression, NADA. On top of that she kinda bumped into my husband, who was siting to my left and she said nothing. Not even excuse me or so sorry. Let me start by saying this is a 2.5 stars sushi place. The aren't many options for good sushi in NWA, and we heard good things about this "gas station sushi" as it's known by. We ordered a Benton box, with additional spicy salmon roll and an avocado roll. The Benton box I ordered came with the salty soup, a bad salad (with good dressing), a variety of tempura battered veggies that were not bad, a side of fried rice (extra $1.50 that they don't disclose), shrimp teriyaki that was ok, and a Louisiana roll that was super spicy from the jalapeño. The avocado roll I ordered was tasteless. The spicy salmon roll was average at best, nothing to brag about. If I had to compare this to the other 2 major Sushi Houses in town, this would rank #3. There's a Sushi place in town that greets everyone; bring out random samples and taste fantastic. I would choose that Sushi house over this in a heartbeat. read more

I'll try a new place every once in a while but nothing is as good as Kobe. The people are so friendly and I always get amazing service. What a cute place! Food is great! Ordered the sundae roll it's probably my new goto roll. Saw someone order the icon and man that's a huge portion I'm going to try that next time we're in Bentonville. It looks amazing and I'd like to try a crawfish bowl! The service here's pretty fast. We were served miso soup, which is warm but the taste is good. Our food came within 10 minutes from ordering. The beef fried rice was a little salty and too oily. But the Salmon bowl and chicken teriyaki bowl was delicious. The spicy tuna roll was ok. Was surprised they did not have the hibachi grill here. Price wise, there are other japanese place that are better. Just an update, no more than 5 min after the meal, i have to look for a bathroom. Too oily food just dont mix with my stomach! read more

Disappointed because I felt very rushed and they didn't put all the ingredients in the fat man roll, they left out like half the proteins and also didn't put avocado on two diff items! SMH definitely worth going to Fayetteville they are the better location! They also charged me more then 2$ to add cream cheese and then the seaweed was extremely chewy and inedible on a California roll... disappointing read more

I came here with some friends last week for my first time. WAIT/PARKING: We were a group of 7 and had no wait. It was a weeknight and there was a big storm, so that is probably why there wasn't a large crowd. There were a decent amount of people in there though. This place isn't too big, but the perfect little place to come get some food. The restaurant is located inside of a small shopping center. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. FOOD: I had edamame, miso soup and the kamikaze roll. All yummy! I love spicy food and the kamikaze was a spicy roll, but not too much spice. I also dip it in srirachi sauce and the eel sauce. Mmmm Yummy. I want some now haha. Normally I don't trust sushi that is in a landlocked place (I'm from California), but this place had really good sushi and tasted fresh. Overall, I would come here again. read more

Fantastic sushi! Every roll we got was delicious and unique. The owner came and talked to us and the servers were nice and attentive. The atmosphere was great for a quiet dinner. The Dragon Lady and Bob Sang roll were exceptional. The Californian roll was the best I've had, light and fresh. The Kuna roll was good, not quite as exciting as the others but still good.
