Worst service I've ever had. I paid at the machine, the gate never opened, and I sat there waiting forever. I went to the office, showed the guy my bank transaction, and he just kept saying it wasn't from them. He made me wait about 20 minutes doing nothing. When I knocked on the window to ask what was going on, he came out yelling at me, telling me to never knock on his window and that he was "doing me a favor" by letting me in. Went to McKinne, Tx. location at 9:56 am on Sunday April 19th and the car wash was closed and the weather was sunny. There was no signs or explanation. 2 weeks ago I went to their Crossroads, TX. Location and they were late opening my car came out of the wash still dirty since I pay for unlimited I ran it through again I asked the young man with the brush why it looked so bad he said the they had several brushes down. both the car washes in Desoto and Cedar Hill are horrible. The one in Desoto you never know if it's gonna be open or closed. We have to go through a second time and it's still not clean. The vacuum cleaner are almost never on. We have to leave Desoto to go to Cedar Hill to use the vacuum. Then their vacuum aren't on. Well maybe 1/2 but, this suction is bad can suck up a piece of lint. They are horrible. We have three cars on one on a monthly plans and do not get our money worth. How hard can it be to keep the equipment needed to wash a car working. Sucks sucks, I'm giving them a couple more weeks and we are canceling horrible. read more

This is a very nice drive through car wash located in Desoto. I love that they have a Detail Station with microfiber cloths, window cleaner, and interior cleaner to use after washing. They also have FREE vacuums. My only complaint would be with the cost. $10 is the cheapest wash option for the basic car wash. For $20 you get the rims, wax and cleaning of the cars' under carriage. That's pricey in my opinion, but I was pleased with the results of my $10 basic wash. read more

I gave them 2 stars in January of this year, and now I give the management team 1 star. If I could give a zero or half star I would. I used to frequent this wash but the quality of the wash wasn't great so I discontinued my subscription. I recently purchased a new vehicle so I decided to give them another chance. I received red flags from the outset. Attendant came out to the kiosk to assist with wash selection but took my card inside to run transaction, which I thiught was odd. I asked for a receipt which he was reluctant to give, but the amount didnt match the amount of the was I selected and had a free code on the receipt. I went through the wash but when I got out to vacuum I still had soap suds in one side and the rear hatch looked virtually untouched. I circled back around to ask for a manager for a refund. I was not old that refunds are not given but a rewash was offered. I refused it unless it was a hand wash. I was given a screenshot of a hand written number to an automated system. I've sent in multiple requests but have yet to hear from anyone who runs the establishment. All of this is unacceptable. read more

LONG REVIEW (GIVING YOU DETAIL BY DETAIL): The management is awful, because they hire people that have ZERO customer service skills, and the manager is hardly there. I emailed corporate, and filed a complaint regarding the way the tire shine messes with bottom of my doors (on both my 2019 Accord and 2022 CR-V) leaving a black grease along the bottom skirt. This issue doesn't happen at any of the other locations, but, there is a switch to turn off the tire shine. One time, the worker actually turned off the tire shine, but, on another day with different worker (tried to explain what the other worker did, but, I was argued down), they said that there is no switch. Therefore, I emailed corporate, and they told me that the manager will be there on the next day to meet with me. The next day I arrived, and asked to speak with the manager, but, the worker told me that the manager never showed up. I left, and I have decided that I will never go to the Desoto, TX Take 5 Car Wash (anymore). Two months later, I have being going between the Cedar Hill and Waxahachie location, and as of today, I encountered another bad experience at the Cedar Hill, TX location. First, I am going to confess that I should not have tried to get my car washed prior to an appointment that was almost approaching, but, I thought that I could be fortunate to just go and not have to wait very long. I arrived, and the manager-on-duty (worker not the official manager) is selling the membership to a customer, NO PROBLEM, so, I'll wait. The problem I encountered was there was only one lane open, and the worker was being casual and laid back having a good 'ole conversation with the customer (about 4 mins went by while I was waiting). The worker left to get the membership sticker and application, and I should have left, but, my silly self didn't (I'm trying to be patient). The worker comes back, and is still laid back (mind you didn't seem to notice that I'm waiting and waiting and waiting). So, I skipped around to the bay, hoping that another worker will see my sticker, and get me through. About 20 seconds later, the other car pulls around, and the worker goes off on my about me skipping around the other car (he is right). I apologized nicely, and I tried explain why I did what I did, and he heard me, but, starting fuzzing, and he told me to pull out of the line, so, I put my car into reverse to back out. Then, the worker kept on fuzzing, and he was starting to go into a personal attack, so I stopped him telling him that he doesn't need to go any further because I apologized and I am doing what he told me to do (I did not disrespect him, but, all of that of expressing his anger wasn't necessary, and I'm De-escalating the situation to keep things in control), but, in his tirade, he said, "I am the only one here." A manager-on duty, should NEVER say to a customer that they are the only one working, because, if they had said that to a potential criminal, then, a lot of bad things could happen. I left the facility, but, there is a problem with Take 5 Car Wash Desoto and Cedar Hill locations, in relationship to quality employees. At this point, I have decided to Cancel my Take 5 Car Wash Membership. I could do better at a different car wash company. If you have not had a similar experience (of some sort), then, count yourself lucky. Pray that you don't have to go through what I went through. read more

They have plenty of vaccume stalls and they always ensure the vaccumes are fully functioning and not clogged ! It's always clean - trash cans are emptied (never over flowing) the workers are sweet and helpful especially when pulling your car in the wash (I struggle with lining my tire up) but they never give attitude about it - always very helpful during an intimidating task! I spoke with the Wash Entry attendant and he quickly offered a second wash because he agreed my car was not clean. He did also state that the wash cycle time was correct when I asked him if the wash cycle had been shortened. The attendant then again offered a no charge second wash, I refused knowing that I would never be back to Your Express Car Wash again. There are more than 6 other automatic car washers within 3 miles of this car washer, I do plan to use one of them and I suggest you do also.
