Some how from 90.99 minus a 25.00 coupon I ended up paying 112.99. My car takes 8 quarts which I wasn't told when I called. They quoted me 90.99. We'll add 3 quarts at 8.00 well there goes the coupon. The guy who greeted me appeared to know very little about the process but that's ok. I asked him if he had checked my tires and he said "do you want us to?" I said yes. I asked if wasn't it part of the service he said: "Well, we don't unless they ask us to, it's JUST A HUGE WASTE OF TIME". I was the only car being serviced. Three employees, one on his cell phone. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE (review from a surgeon here in Baton Rouge). I brought my wife's Audi Q5 here for an oil change in July 2024. The technician accidentally drained all the transmission oil, couldn't figure out what the issue was, and called his off site manager (Desi) for assistance. At this point the car was fuming large amounts of gray smoke from the exhaust, would not start due to "transmission failure" and dripping oil from the exhaust. The manager told me to "drive it home or take to the dealer." The car was literally not able to be driven, and if it was, this would have been a life threatening risk to take. I had to call 2 tow truck companies at 9pm at night (with no assistance from Take 5) and have it towed to Audi. I asked for a refund and none was issued. I asked for the managers info, and it was not given. I asked for documentation of the event, and they said they were not able to provide it. The car spent 3 days at Audi and accrued $1500 in damages. Audi clearly documented it was Take 5's fault. After a long process of finally getting a claim sent out to a 3rd party company (after having to miss work to drive back to Take 5 on several different days, as no one would assist on the phone), I was informed that both the store manager and regional manager had been replaced and my claim was never sent out, despite me providing all the documentation they requested. Not once during this whole 3 month process did anyone follow up appropriately and make sure things were handled. Currently, as of mid September 2024, I have yet to have this issue finalized and not received any money back (not even a refund for my $160 oil change itself). I have spent more than 10 hours of my life at this point (between phone calls and visits to take 5 and Audi, as well dealing with Take 5's 3rd party claims company, Fleet Response) and still have not gotten a resolution. I have been in touch with the new regional manager (Kelli O' Neill) as well. Extremely poor communication, professionalism, and lack of following through are the main sources of frustration, let alone the $1500 loss. I came here ~20 minutes before they closed and I was grateful to be done in 15 minutes. I will warn you, do noT come here later than that in a work day and expect them to take you. Someone tried to get an oil change 10 min before close and the an employee fumed and said absolutely refused saying that they planned to leave at 5 pm Sunday not work past it, especially with it being as hot as it is in the summer. There was attitude and passive aggression definitely thrown around with that interaction which made me so grateful that they took me. I'm grateful to the honesty of the employees though. I thought I had to go with the advanced full synthetic but they told me premium would do me just fine so I'm thankful they didn't try to up charge me. Waited an hour and a half to get my oil changed at the College Drive location. I parked my truck in my driveway over night only to notice a large oil puddle under my truck the next morning. For under the truck and found the drain plug hand tight and leaking. That could have been much uglier than the oil stain that is now in my driveway. I've used other Take 5 locations and they've all been fast and have good quality. Not College Drive. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The speed of service and hassle of trying to clean this oil stain for the next several weeks is definitely not worth the $180 I spent there. read more

Preface - I never actually got an oil change even though I was there for 47 minutes. I pulled up to get an oil change, there were 2 cars in the bays and 1 other one waiting. I don't have a problem waiting; I know everyone is short staffed right now. They had me pop my hood while waiting, I told myself maybe it's how they do it here. Employee I dealt with had zero customer service but I didn't think much, I'm not here for friendliness, I just want an oil change by "professionals". More cars come in behind me but yet go before me. While waiting I'm watching the employees work on the cars in front of me. All I'll say is after watching them I did not feel comfortable letting them change my oil. So I had to get out, close my hood and try to get out of the "line". When you see the location you'll understand how they almost have you trapped once you pull in. So crappy customer service, long wait but still no oil change. Went to K&H just down the road (just down college Dr) and they were amazing. read more

I brought my vehicle to take 5 off college drive on 6/22/2024 its 7/16/2024 and i have been without a car. My car stopped on me , now has motor damaged because the damaged my car while getting a oil change and my mechanic told my it was because no oil was in my car. This makes no sense, I went to the location the supervisor stated basically its nothing i can do but to file a claim online. There is no where online I can file a claim with take 5, take 5 has no number online to call, no one answer the phone, Its almost a month and NO ONE gave me a call back. When I asked him about it he said that with my military discount it was only $20. But what I actually worry about the most is that my car starts really rough since I got my oil changed there. $100+ for a basic oils change is absurd, I had both windows down for open communication and an employee proceeded to try to open my door without saying anything to me. He also left oil on the interior of my car, I asked for my specific oil type and filter and was informed it would be upward if $100. I've never paid above $70 for an oil change ever and that's stretching it, when I refused services, employees proceeded to talk trash. If you don't know much about cars they will sell you everything in the book. If you're okay with paying $100+ this is definitely the place for you! Went in for an oil change on my Mercury Grand Marquis on a Saturday morning, and the crew was extremely professional!! Great group of young people working there. They didn't try to upsell me on anything, which I appreciate. I believe there were 3 people working at the time, I was impressed with how they communicated and worked together to be be efficient. This place is understaffed. I'd say, they have about half the people there needed in order to cut down on wait times. I knew they were understaffed before I went. I went at about 9am, waited 15ish minutes before they were able to change my oil. I stopped by to get my oil changed. I waited in line for 30 minutes then finally got into the garage. After 10 minutes of waiting in the garage I asked how long it will be before my oil is changed and told them I had to be back at work in 15 minutes and that I've been waiting for 40 minutes already. The guy said it'll definitely take longer than 15 minutes for them to even start on my car. Advertising says it'll only take 10 minutes to change the oil in a car. Bullshit. read more

worst customer service ever. took my car to get an oil change on Frida and the next morning I woke up I noticed oil was on the ground. took it back to the shop immediately Saturday morning. the guy takes a look and says it probably was old oil because there was oil in there. Wake up Sunday mornin a pool of oil is on the ground check my oil level and there is not a tap of oil in my car. i immediately call the store and ask to speak with the manager who says his name was Joey. I explained to him what was going on he was very nonchalant about the situation but staged that I couldn't make it to them someone would make to me in 40 minutes. Time goes by no one shows up. I try reachMing back out to the store several times and now no one is answering the phone. This could really do some serious damage to my car because now I have to drive to the auto part store and put oil in my own car and make back to them.
