Shea and Kevin did a good job. I'm always on edge going into unfamiliar shops as they do frequently want to add services (and $$$) so I wasn't surprised when the cost escalated. Couldn't get the economy change as "...they didn't have the proper mixture...". Really? Isn't that your job to have all the correct mixes? OK so that popped me up to the Ultimate which includes filter inspections. So of course my air and cabin filters were dirty ... +$70 for new filters. Long story shout my $60 oil change cost almost 3X that. Guess I'll call next time to make sure they have the proper oil. read more

Took over an hour for an oil change. people there did not know what they were doing not qualified to work on a car much less a go kart DJ who had an attitude with everybody in there do not use do not use. Absolutely horrible went to get the oil changed in my f150 they couldn't get my skid plate off even though they said they worked on Ford F150s all the time. They stripped all the screws on my skid plate then change the oil but not the filter I will never be going back. I highly recommend you stay away. read more

Pulled in and Nathan started working on my car immediately. The new manager, Mark (who was great) also offered me a bottle of water. Pulled right in, no wait. The guys were super efficient at getting me taken care of. Justin was top notch, super nice, kept me involved and talking with me so that I didn't just feel like an awkward customer sitting quietly in a truck while others work. Absolutely horrible. I sat in the bay for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to either start my oil change or vehicle inspection I went in for. There were 2 technicians working on 1 vehicle. They had no sense of urgency. I drove off to take my business elsewhere. I have never experienced this at a Take 5. I would recommend everyone go elsewhere. They are really not worth rating 1 star but you are forced to if you want your review to save. read more

Oil change on 2023 Chevy Silverado w/Duramax engine. 5 trips total to NOT get oil changed and finally had to go down the road to much more accommodating competitor who has earned my business and most of our fleet of more than 100 trucks we operate. (Which I didn't mention on purpose to learn their honest response... what a surprise!) First two visits, met with Sean and he did not have the special oil for this engine (Mobile 1 ESPX2 Dexos-D) but promised to have it in a couple of days. Several days later still no oil, but said their store on Research had it. Drove over there, but the manager there was by himself and said the whole crew quit that morning and he couldn't do the service. So, back to 1488 the next day and this time Rylan was there (Sean had gone over to Research since the crew there had quit). Rylan said they still did not have the oil, but would have it the next day by noon. Next day, drove in and Rylan said no oil yet, but since I had gone to so much trouble, if could find the oil, they would put it in for no charge. So, off to Conroe and finally found the oil at AutoZone (it's hard to find for sure). Now it's Saturday June 1 (10 days trying to get an oil change). Of course Rylan is not there (he's over at Research with Sean because the crew quit remember) and this time Dez is running the show (what a superstar they have there), she says they have the oil (or a box that the oil was in - she did not look). Since I have chased oil all over Magnolia, The Woodlands, Spring, and Conroe, I ask about Rylan's promise to change the oil (using my oil) for NC. She says I could come back when Rylan was back but she wouldn't call him or Sean or honor the promise. All this with no customers there in the middle of the day on a Saturday. Five stars simply because John B. is a weak man who should know how to do his own oil. You own over 100 trucks but can't change oil, you're aware of how hard the oil is to get, waited 10 days (clearly didn't need an oil change) before going to another shop. DO NOT GET YOUR OIL CHANGED HERE. I took my truck here for its first oil change (big mistake). They ended up overfilling the engine with so much oil that it started coming out of the air intake. They are refusing to pay to have the intake system cleaned out by the dealer because they want to clean it themselves. Who would let a shop that screwed up a simple oil change do even more complicated work on their new truck? The Manager also told me that the engine oil is supposed to end up in the air intake and air filter when it's overfilled. Oil is never supposed to be in the air intake. Not only did they overfill the engine with oil, they tried to sell me a new air filter saying mine was dirty when the truck only had 5,500 miles on it. The air intake box was also not screwed down all the way and was left part way open. read more

They got me with the "need windshield wiper blade" trick. I went there today for state inspection. Technician (P. F.) looked at blades, then had me run the wipers with my truck's washer fluid ... then stated "see that streaking (which I did not), I can't pass you with those wiper blades". I immediately called BS, BUT I was already there, didn't feel like waiting in line again, etc. So, I gave in and asked about the cost for new blades, he stated $14.99. Ok - fine, I will pay the $14.99. He puts new blades on and then tells me cost for inspection and new blades was $57.95. Turns out, it was $14.99 per blade. I re-iterated it was a total scam. I realize businesses probably make a minimal amount on state inspection services; however, I judge a business by its integrity. This was my first time going to Take 5 as they never look terribly busy and I wanted to "try them out". Sadly, this negative/fraudulent experience was enough that I won't be giving them any future business. P.F. lost you a future customer so that you squeeze out an extra $30 today off of an inspection. Just an overall good experience, literally looked at insta and snapped my hoes the entire time. they gave me a banger water that wasn't too cold or too hot which I appreciated. Strongly suggest going here if you know nothing about cars and enjoy free water at the perfect temperature. read more

Don't advertise that you're open 7 AM to 7 PM and when I get there at 6:36PM on Tuesday you tell me you closed at 6:30 because the assistant manager wants to go home at 7:00. This place is okay. Decided to try a new place. Here are the cons : It was 20$ more expensive here. No one greeted me when I pulled up .I read my receipt after and read the service check list. They didn't show me The oil level , didn't clean my windshield ( even though on the check list they stated they did, didn't check my tires until I asked. I might have gotten spoiled bc my usual is great . Pros : The guys were pretty nice . This place is just okay . I'd rather go back and return to my usual place Express Oil. read more
