please look at this photo of how my engine was left after receiving an oil change. they did not screw the cap back on after changing the oil. the plug was instead left under the hood wedged between it and my car while oil spouted everywhere from driving with the cap off from take 5 to the other side of town by seville, to strongsville, and then back to medina. driving home from strongsville, the check engine light turned on which has never happened in this car. there is a burning oil smell. i pop the hood and i see this. i also am adding a photo of the underside of my car hood where you can see a spot of oil residue. i cleaned up the engine and topped my oil off at home. i am getting it looked at by goodyear tomorrow. i don't usually write reviews but wtf read more

if I could give negative stars I would they stripped my oil plug so you can't get it back off and broke my oil filter. took 2.5 weeks of calling them just for them to send my claim through. DONT GO HERE!!!! at least valvoline will immediately try and make everything right with the customer. read more

Do not go here! This place is trash. I had my vehicle damaged in October and they still don't want to pay for the damage. The oil leaked all over my driveway and they don't want to pay for pressure washing. Absolute thrash. Stay far away and don't let friends or family go here ever! read more

This place is a mess. They damaged my car and won't provide any information about the claim. It took them over three weeks to even address it and only because I went there in person. The manager is rude and they never answer the phone and their VM box is full and won't let you leave a message. Victoria s from customer service tells people to call 330-591-9173 which goes to call center that transfers you to a full voice mail box (give it a try it's somewhat entertaining ) they also have a call you back option (they never call back) or you can wait on hold for customer service (after an hour and 10 minutes no answer I have a recording of the whole call) stay far away from this place and don't let your friends or family go there either!!!!!! read more

I stopped in today at Take 5. Medina location is the place to be. Gage is the definition of outstanding customer service! He greeted me promptly with a bottle of water, very polite, and got me in and out in no time!! Take 5 is my go-to oil change spot but I would highly recommend Medina Take 5 location, as the service was outstanding and unmatched to any location I've been too!! Definitely don't recommend this place at all waited over half an hour just for someone to tell me they'd be with me and after the oil change was finished they didnt reset my oil light and didn't give me a sticker to tell me when to get my next oil change read more

Fast oil change. Overall pleased, but a bit pricey on ram 1500 with standard synthetic. $112.04. Granted, this is the first oil change I did not do myself so it may be the going rate. read more

Decent service, and quick. Hate the constant upselling

I would give this 0 stars if I could. Take5 ruined my engine, resulting in me having to get a new car, and took 0 responsibility for it. On Tuesday, May 3rd, I got an oil change at the Take5 in Medina (Store #131) on my lunch break. I didn't notice anything wrong, I went back to work and finished the day, on my drive home as I was merging onto the highway my oil light, check engine light, and battery light all came on at once. By the time I reached the end of the on-ramp, my car just wouldn't drive. I pulled over and took a look at the oil and noticed that it was basically gone (there was a little bit on the ground under my car but the stick was coming out basically clean). This was all within 2 miles of having the oil change, I ended up having the car towed to a mechanic who told me the following: INSPECTED ENGINE AND FOUND ALL THE OIL BLEW OUT EVERYWHERE UNDER THE HOOD, THIS OCCURRED MOMENTS AFTER AN OIL CHANGE, WHEN INSPECTING IT HAD NO OIL ON THE INSIDE OF THE ENGINE, I BELIEVE THE OIL FILTER GASKET BLEW OUT. VEHICLE WILL PROBABLY NEED A REPLACEMENT ENGINE. Afterwards I contacted Take5 who had my car towed somewhere else, after the second mechanic looked at it I was informed that my engine was infact knocking but that Take5 didn't do it and they wouldn't be responsible for any damages. When I called the mechanic directly, they stated it was likely Take5's fault but that they'd need to take a more extensive look at the engine to determine what caused the damange, Take5 refused this step. I decided to have the car towed back to me while we determined our next steps. When the car arrived from the tow I received no phone call or notification the car had been dropped off, it was left in an apartment complex with the keys in the ignition. On top of that, the taillight was busted and the back bumper pretty badly scratched - somehow leaving my broken car in even worse condition when it left with them! Take5 also took no responsibility for this. Additionally, Take5 claimed I "missed multiple oil changes" leaving my engine in need of repair and causing the gasket to blow, I knew this was incorrect so I pulled my invoices. When looking at the top of my invoices, SEVERAL of them contained a different name (i.e. not crediting my car with that oil change). This is also a privacy concern as these invoices had someone else's name, address, phone number and email on it. I have to wonder how many people have my personal information with them now due to the same error, and it's just more evidence to their carelessness and lack of training. I contacted Take5 countless times, via phone, email, through corporate, the manager (Nick) and the district manager (Danny). Every single one of them passed blame onto someone else and took weeks and multiple follow ups to get any sort of response. After 3 weeks of getting the run around, being ignored and treated with little compasion or respect, I had no choice but to get a new car (the cost of the repairs weren't worth it, and I needed a car and couldn't let my now ruined car sit there while I fought them leaving me without transportation), I know this is exactly what they wanted to happen. After telling people my story, I've heard several similar ones all from this exact store and all with very similar outcomes. Absoultely disgusted by how this was handled and will n Do yourself a favor, save your car and your sanity and get your oil change by someone actually trained and knowledgeable to do so. read more

A week after having an oil change and the coolant flushed our vehicle was acting up. I opened the hood to find their vice grip still attached to out coolant hose. They also never checked the transmission fluid like we asked. They caused $4,800 worth of damage. On June 6th of 2018 they left me a voicemail asking if they could pick the vehicle up and repair the damage. After not hearing from them for a week, I called and they said they changed their mind and are refusing to pay. We are heading to court. read more
