Service was good but when it was time to pay they refused the coupon that very location sent me the link. They kept saying the coupon is not working, as they did acknowledge talking to me earlier and sending me the link. Their response was, "Sorry corporate handles the coupons. You need to call corporate." So they refused to fix the situation and push it off on somebody untouchable (as you look at attached photo I was on hold for an hour and 43 minutes when I decided to hang up. February 3rd, I went in to get my oil changed in my 2018 Escape. The staff was friendly but they messed something up while doing my oil change. I went 2 miles when blue smoke came out of the exhaust and then my car overheated and started on fire with me and my 2 young kids in the car. I went to my first Take 5 in South Carolina last year and was very impressed with the service. They are fast and efficient and I like how they show you what they are changing. The Take 5 in north Peoria was no different, fast and friendly. When I asked if the air filter needed to be changed, he showed it to me and said that it wasn't time. I do think they are a little expensive (hence 4 instead of 5 starts), but I don enjoy the fast service time and the ability to be a "part" of the service. read more

I would not come here again. It's a scam. They try to take advantage of you. Who wants to sit there stuck in your car as they guilt you into spending more money. If you're a nice person who has a hard time saying no don't come here. I spent twice as much as I would have at a dealership but I came here for quick service during my lunch break. It's probably not his fault but he slammed my glove box door over some papers in there it got stuck and when I tried to open it the handle broke off. While the technicians were very nice and professional, I am very disappointed to know that after only one month of getting my oil changed there I was under a quart short. I have no leaks or anything else going on with my car. My car's dealership showed me that Take 5 neglected to put in the proper amount of oil. I took a chance by taking my SUV to this particular Take 5 when I normally go elsewhere but I thought hey I'm in the neighborhood and need an oil change let's give this place a try...bad idea. I asked for a conventional oil change in which I've always gotten elsewhere but they said my vehicle takes synthetic and they show me some information from their computer that stated their narrative. I decided, I really just need the oil change and it was $79.99 but I had a $10 off coupon. When these clowns got done the price of the oil change was $83.00 which included my coupon. These crooks claimed they had to add an additional quart of oil in which they never mentioned to me when changing the oil and charged me 8,99 which wiped out the coupon I gave them. My vehicle has never taken over the 5 quarts in the past. I'm am completely done with Take 5. Never will I use them again. And by the way , I learned there is not much difference between Conventional oil and synthetic oil. They both serve the same purpose which is to lubricate. Ain't nothing special about synthetic oil except the high price they slap on it. read more

Warning!! Scammers work here. The person who changed my oil outright lied to me saying my car was overdue by 60,000 miles for needing a coolant flush(cost:$111). When I asked how he could possibly know that he admitted to me that he was lying. And he was lying since a new radiator had been put in my car not long ago. Also he did extra things to my car that I NEVER asked for and he never told me about! He charged me for them too saying, "oh I'm sorry I forgot to tell you I was going to do that." ???!!!!! Excuse me? You're going to do things to my car that I never authorized and then try to charge me for them after lying to me to try to get me to willingly spend $111 on a service my car doesn't need? I never have a problem when I come here. They seem to care and they don't do the extra. They ask you a question and if u don't want the product theY don't force it on you.... only the bottle of water!!!! Lol other than that I will continue to patron here because I'm treated right... I should have gave this a 3 star since they had me waiting over 15 minutes but I was understanding cuz it was only 1 person.... so if u stay patient they will give you the best service around!!!! Came to have air put into my tires. A young man came to help me. My car has electronic pressure sensors, the tires should be 36 pp and they were reading 32 - 33. So he went about the job of filling the tires. I went on my way and checked the pressures, the driver side was 33-34 AND the passenger tires read 41. I can only surmise the reason, I would hope it wasn't with malice. Update: Matt from Take 5 reached out to me to apologize. We agreed tire gauges are difficult to see exact measurements. He will help the staff in the future to get it right and that was my reason for the review. I'll give them 4 stars now, because they addressed the issue. Thanks, Matt read more

My daughter brought her car in to get an oil change on May 28, 2022. She texted me telling me that a man had gotten something in his eyes/on his face while servicing under her hood. I then get a text saying that she has to buy a radiator hose before she can drive her car home. I IMMEDIATELY call her & she tries to explain what they'd told her so I have her pass the phone to the manager. I spoke to a super kind guy named Timmy & I told him that in no way would we be paying for any repairs when the radiator hose should not have been broken. Turns out, the guy working on her vehicle leaned on the radiator hose & it broke off. He told me that they would try to get another hose but they didn't because it wasn't the hose that was broken, it was the radiator to where the hose was clamped onto....Yes, the radiator needed to now be replaced. I have been calling numerous times as well as going up there w/ABSOLUTELY NO SOLUTIONS!!! They were supposed to had gotten her car towed to Meineke (they didn't even know that get car was even coming) but here we are a day later & her car is still in their parking lot. Timmy has emailed, called, AND texted his boss to try to get a solution MULTIPLE times & the guy (John was the name that was given) has yet to even acknowledge what is going on. My daughter works full time so now we have to figure out how to get her there & back safely because we work full time as well. I am totally disgusted by the way that this has been handled. I have a feeling that they probably didn't even kick her doors when they left work today & tomorrow is a holiday so EVERYTHING is closed!! I can not wait to speak to someone. If nothing is resolved, we will be taking this many steps further legally! read more

Do not go here!! My truck was running absolutely fine until after I got an oil change. My truck started knocking 10 minutes later they sent me to a different lube stop and they didn't know what was going on, then not even 45 mins after my whole truck blew up i do not recommend this place to anybody!
