I had an unfortunate and unpleasant experience with Raisor Motors. I was involved in a minor car accident and brought my vehicle to them to have an under the hood evaluation. They were very kind and I felt they did a great job of evaluating the damage to my car and presenting their findings. I went Raisor because they were recommended by a friend and they are local. I was told that they would prepare an estimate for me by that following Monday which was only 2-3 days from the day of my cars evaluation. It has now been over a month and I still haven't received the estimate. I have called and emailed every week since the evaluation and have spoken with either Doug or his wife who answers the phone and promises to either get back to me ASAP or that the estimate will be emailed to me. The last contact I had was an email with Doug who apologized for the delay and said he would send the estimate after a doctors appointment on 11/29th. After not hearing back I emailed Doug again as a friendly reminder and I haven't received a response. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming they normally provide great service to their customers. I read the other Google reviews and was assured I too would receive great service based on the reviews I read. However, I obviously cannot give a good review or recommend their service after my experience. I leave this review as a constructive criticism in hopes that it will encourage better customer service in the future. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE ! One day after it was "fixed" it was completely unusable.My husband and I took our car here for some issues we were having. We dropped it off on a Thursday, didn't hear back until the following Thursday and we're told we could possibly pick it up Friday that they would call and let us know. We heard nothing from them, tried calling and left a massage. Finally got through on Tuesday and they said they never got our messages. After picking up the car it still was having some of the same problems as when we dropped it off. We got it home and the very next day we took it a short distance from home when it totally died. Completely unusable, we had to have it towed. We have reached out and left several messages on voice mail and to a Raisor employee and they have completely ignored us. Terrible service, waste of time and money, and awful communication. After nearly $500 worth of work we are left with a car that is unusable. read more

My husband has taken his vehicles to Raisor Motor for years, but we will not be using them again. We took my car into have the alternator replaced. 11 days and hundreds of dollars later we were told it was ready to go. Went to pick it up and Doug hands me the hood prop tells me to get another one because this one was crap and was in the way so they took it off. Then he has a woman check me out. Paid and started to leave when I notice the gages were not working. When I went back inside Doug said you must have done something before you brought it to us! I said no I drove it to you and it was fine. He had a younger mechanic look under the hood. And in the fuse box. The mechanic said who ever looked at your car before broke something. No one, but them had the car. Then he shows me that a fuse is missing and the fuses all have arc marks on them and there is a short in the fuse box. Then they walk away. I drive home and park in the drive, next afternoon I drive to Peoria and the car stalls and won't start. I call and explain the situation to Doug and his reply is "I don't know what to tell you! Have someone over there take a look at it or have it towed to Morton." And that is a direct quote. It was high 80's and I have many serious health conditions. I sat in the car until someone could come pick me up. My blood sugar dropped dangerously low and I could barely walk. What would have happened if the car broke down on the highway and I couldn't contact someone for help? I am having the car towed to Chrysler and I will find out what they did to my car, then I intend on contacting a lawyer. This behavior is unacceptable. They have no problem taking your money, but do not stand by their work and will not fix their mistakes. Obviously they don't care about their customers or their reputation. Doug is extremely rude! And in my opinion incompetent at his job! I look forward to my day in court Doug. read more
