We were properly diagnosed, we were seen at the time we expected (not a long wait if we walked in, seen within 5 minutes of appt time if we made an appt prior to coming in), ans it was very convenient to be able to pick up our prescriptions right there. Definitely recommend! I have gone to another chain pharmacy that offers medical visits and have never received this level of care. (The other location even sent me home after missing a pneumonia diagnosis & telling me I just needed to "let the cold run it's course." The other pharmacy has also mixed up prescriptions that would've killed or harmed our unborn child. Thankfully, we caught it ourselves at home.

I never received an itemized statement, despite numerous requests for one to be able to apply my FSA funds. After being told I had a $0 balance on the automated line, I was sent to collections. I finally got ahold of someone months later to explain what I needed, to be able to pay, and was given conflicting information. Representatives continue to be unhelpful, cannot do anything to pull this back from collections or remove collection fees, and have no care that this bill should have never been sent over in the first place. So now I owe more than before, which could have been taken care of simply, back in December. I will not be using urgent care services again.

I was in for an issue that turned out to be something they couldn't really handle as it would have been an elective surgery. They helped me reapply bandages the wound, wrote me a prescription and sent me on my way with a boat load of bandaging supplies for the time between now and the surgery with a specialist elsewhere. They gave me a strep throat culture and a flu culture and listened to my breathing and asked about my symptoms, etc. The physician's assistant could not have been nicer. She prescribed Flonase, benzonatate, and doxycycline. The Flonase and the benzonatate were completely worthless but the doxycycline was exactly what I needed to kick the virus. After about 2 more days I finally could tell I was on my way up rather than down. I would return to the Take Care Clinic.

(multiple RNs and NPs) This isn't some fly-by-night operation. I actually feel Im getting much closer and better care than I would through my primary physician in regards to what Im here for. My blood work was gone over and explained to me very thoroughly. Treatment was also explained in great depth. The follow-up practices throughout treatment are excellent. Definitely something your primary physician will not do, mainly based on the time it takes. There are numerous facilities dedicated to women care. Its nice to finally have a place for men to get hormonal treatment for all the things involved with Low T, not just E.D. As I stated, Im a new patient as of a couple weeks ago. I have nothing but positive to say about this company at this time, and I also encourage any man looking for answers to fatigue, lack of focus, sleep problems, E.D., etc..to check them out. They do take insurance. Your deductible must be met before youre covered, just like any other doctors office. You will pay out of pocket until that is met. To me, after fighting fatigue and focus issues over the past few years, its well worth it. I will be back for a review once I start to see some results. It takes a few weeks to kick in.

Have a minor…read moreillness or injury that doesn't require a trip to the ER but still want to pay that hefty ER fee? You're in luck! I recently went to this urgent care after work and asked for a strep test. A medical assistant took my pulse ox and blood pressure and then swabbed my throat. Then a nurse practitioner came in to tell me my results, look at my throat, listen to my chest, and order my antibiotic. I've been to many urgent care offices for strep and always see a bill of less than $200. So imagine my surprise when I received a bill of $550, with $320 being the urgent care facility fee. I called St. Luke's to discuss this hefty fee and was told there was nothing they could do about it and that that was the agreed upon fee with my insurance company. So then I called my insurance company and reviewed the bill with them. They told me that the reason it was so high was because it was coded as an ER visit. WHAT!? If I wanted or needed an ER, I would have gone to the ER! This urgent care uses CPT code 0456 which is specifically for urgent care services provided in an emergency room setting within a hospital. But this clinic does not meet the definition of a hospital (it is not open 24 hours, it does not require a physician to be on site, and it does not have "emergency room" posted on its sign). The proper billing code should have been 0526 for "clinic-based urgent care" or 0516 for general "urgent care clinic." However, since they used the ER hospital code, they are charging a heftier price and patients must pay the copay as if they had visited an ER. How are they getting away with this??? I suspect they are calling this location satellite location of their actual hospital and that's how they are getting away with it but that's just conjecture. To be clear, I was very happy with the care I received from the medical assistant and provider so I'm not throwing any shade at them, however, it was not "emergency room" level care. Shame on St. Luke's for these deceptive business practices.
