I called the next day and their phone system used an automated AI response initially, but I was then rerouted and able to speak with a service person. They dispatched a technician, diagnosed my issues, sent quote estimates to my email, followed up with a confirmed booking, and came out within the next day with the proper part to service my broken system. Before the serviceman arrived, I received text updates with pictures of who to expect and with their estimated time of arrival. The communication, timeliness and efficient service provided by Dunn was exceptional. They charge a standard assessment fee which is factored into the overall cost of service. I would recommend Dunn if you're local to their service areas.

I just read Ms. Ann's review, and I have to say -- I'm genuinely surprised and a bit bothered by the claims made about Take The Plunge Plumbing. Of course, I understand that everyone's experience can be different, and I respect that. But based on my personal dealings with this company, I find it very hard to believe the technicians were rude. One thing I've consistently seen from both Christine and Tequila is their high level of professionalism and respect -- and I know for a fact they do not tolerate negative behavior from their team. As for the issue with the kitchen faucet: if you're working with American Home Shield (AHS), the contractor is only allowed to perform the work specifically listed on the original AHS work order. If "kitchen faucet" wasn't mentioned, they couldn't legally or ethically do the repair without further authorization. That's just how the warranty system works. Also, I noticed this review was posted in May, though the service took place in December 2024 or January 2025. If the experience was truly as terrible as described, it raises the question: why wait several months to say something? For what it's worth, I personally reached out to Take The Plunge Plumbing and let the office staff know about this negative review. They were just as surprised and genuinely concerned -- which only reinforces my belief in the company's integrity and commitment to doing right by their customers. This is a credible, family-owned business that takes pride in their work. They've always been professional, dependable, and communicative in every interaction I've had. Todd came out last week for an emergency plumbing issue (upstairs shower was leaking) and we "thought" that was why our laundry room ceiling was leaking. He came out and assessed the issue and what was recommended. (We are renters for reference) He coordinated with our management company the repairs needed for the issue and came out today to do the repair. He and his associate fixed the leaking faucet and determined that our leak was coming from the ac unit. They did a great job cleaning up after removing part of the drywall in the laundry room to visually see if the plumbing was causing the leak. I would definitely have them out again. Josh was dispatched to my household in Hoover, and upon arrival I smelled a strong odor of alcohol. I called Take the Plunge Plumbing to service a shower valve system, and when this "plumber" arrived, he was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. His work was extremely sloppy and messy and the value of his work left me with a disaster to clean up, and ultimately costed more to fix his mess ups. Promptness: The way Mr. Drippy works on the potential of needing a new hot water heater is them come to your residence to check your appliance. This is not my first rodeo on replacing Hot Water Heaters, A/C units, Appliances and more. I expected to get a time to visit in about a week. Instead, it was the next day. Add to that, they showed up on time. I was shocked. Be A Smart Consumer: I knew from the start, fixing my unit was going to be a segway to replacing it. That is way looking at my issue was not a charge. I also knew, once they saw the unit, the comparison pricing for fixing and new unit would be the sales presentation. Based on my location and needs, I researched the approximate pricing of the replacement, removal, parts and labor. My HOA has a rule to only use licensed and insured venders, or I would do what I used to do. Buy the unit, hire a non-licensed or insured vendor and same money. NOT THIS TIME. Who knows what can happen and the HOA would come back to me. Service Provided: I was presented the numbers and surprise, I selected to purchase a new unit. To my surprise, it was installed that same day. The installer was a true professional. The unit brand was American which is middle quality. The price was higher than what I expected however I paid a bit more because of the great communication I was given throughout the process. Sometimes, we have to give credit to a good company during this challenging times. Issue With the Installation: I live on the third floor with units on the second and first floors. It seems, when the water from my old water heater unit was disposed of, it made a leak in the pipes for the 1st floor unit. I was very upset at first. Then Mr. Drippy Sent in a manager, followed by a water repair company that same day. I called the day after to see what the situation was and the repair was in process. Throughout this situation, I communicated with all parties especially the HOA in great detail. I waited two weeks to write this review. It seems the issue is resolved. Conclusion: Hiring professionals that are licensed, insured and reviews mostly well makes a difference. Will you have to pay a little more, yes. It is worth it, yes. Would I do business with these folks again, yes. Simple as that.
