This has popped up (among a few other events), so we decided to visit this first. Again, what a great find. So much art in the historic buildings surrounding the other buildings and throughout the town (murals!). I took very few pictures (can you believe that, lol), as I decided to drive versus walk on this very hot day. Ambiance - Two blocks...? Not just the old brewery, but all the adjoining buildings. And the lot across the street with the stage, see pictures. Lastly, the old church... is not a church any more, lol. Free outdoor summer concerts, see website. Theater, performance hall, exhibit hall, grand ballroom, education wing, etc. Classes, membership; see websites. Small parking lot, but other than the artists, we were the only guests here, lol. Well, the rest of the parking lot is currently being used for this event. Call or check their website for hours. Service - Everyone is so welcoming. Price - Free, thank you! I especially appreciated the nice touch at the end -- the actors taking their time during the curtain call to greet and thank all of the patrons. That made the experience even more personal and memorable. However, my first impression of the venue itself wasn't great. This was my first time visiting, and we had difficulty finding parking since it wasn't clear whether parking across by the church was allowed. We were able to find street parking and walked across. Once we arrived, we had trouble figuring out where to enter for the main stage performance. Unfortunately, the woman at the concessions counter (confections) was not helpful or friendly, which made things even more confusing. We ended up walking back and forth between buildings trying to find the correct entrance. The performance was 5-star, but the venue experience -- especially the initial interaction at the concessions counter -- was disappointing. NO stars. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future visitors.

We had Lauren and she is amazing!!! She made us feel comfortable and did so well with our baby. She was positive, upbeat, and just pleasant to be around. The studio is sooo cute. The vibe is great, the decor is awesome. There's a great selection of spots and props to take pictures with. They supplied the cake which was one less thing to worry about for myself. We even got to take it home and it was delicious. The pictures had an incredibly fast turn around time and are totally adorable. We also got a lot! We will be back!

That event featured an impressive turnout, especially considering that the Jewish population in the Carson Valley is considered by some to be a bit light. At the same time, I ran into someone I knew from the old Jewish Business Lunch (Walnut Creek), gave some tips to a couple who were new to the area, and was impressed that several politicos showed up. The Plaza itself is modest, yet spacious and comfortable. And that little bit of light in a world with more darkness lately was a welcome respite. The food, which is one of the most important thing to my crew, was just not up to what we're used to at say Holiday Inn Expresses. I decided to move over here to the Staybridge Suites. The food is decent here, plus they have a free happy hour Mon - Wed with beer and wine included! Can't beat that! Every room has a full kitchen, electric stove, full sized fridge and even a dishwasher and all the glasses and dishes you need. It's really set up for extended stays, but we're just here one night. This is a pretty new hotel, so everything is mostly new and shiny. Service from the staff was just fine, and breakfast was a whole lot better than that last Hilton place we stayed. Everything worked on the rooms and no weird stray hairs that weren't my color. Wifi work well, and that's the most important thing.

I was literally only in my room for a couple hours to sleep since we had went to reno for hours to play at the arcade and walked around. We left the room clean. But they charged me for smoking in the room, which i didnt smoke in my room. Because they said they found green stuff on the floor. Not ash or a cigarette. I called to complain but pretty sure im getting charged anyways. I was so excited to spend some time with my kids but now we wont come back. Highly disappointed! They said the room stunk. The only thing that smelled to me were our clothing we had worn to the casino. So i guess a warning you cant even wear smelly clothes in there or they think you were smoking and charge you. Seeing as i have never been charged that anywhere else and i stay in several different rooms a year at any other hotel, i wont be back. I had stayed at a fairfield hotel in Sacramento the night before with no problems til we stayed here.

This Casino is tied in with Legends Bay Casino in Reno. Several Restaurants and bars are here. Along with Duke's Steakhouse. The player's card entitles you to specials in their restaurants. Most employees here are kind and helpful.

It is currently operated by their son (Gayle's cousin) and daughter-in-law as a venue for outdoor weddings and special events. The Orchard House is where Gayle's brother was married a few years ago, and what a memorable event it was. And with the recent engagement of one of her sons, a wedding at these pretty, spacious and well kept grounds may be in the works. Although Gayle and I will be wed in Napa next May, Genoa and the Orchard House remain near and dear to our home town hearts.

She really made our visit memorable and we will definitely choose this location next time we are in town overnight because of her. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was great as well they had real eggs and bacon which was so nice along with a ton of other options, but the bacon and eggs really hit the spot. We've been coming here for about 10 months now for soccer sprouts! It took a bit for my daughter to…read morestart listening and following directs but miss that we've been going consistently, she's gotten comfortable! Classes are 45 minutes long and the coaches are great! It gets the kids energy out as it not only is physical but with toddlers it teaches them to listen and follow directions! They teach them warm up drills, color matching, run after hula hoops, kicking the ball, stacking cones and knocking them down with a ball. Every class is different! Is toddler-parent centered so you get to be in the field with your little one! You pay annual fee and then you pay a separate fee for the season such is about 2 months long. This can all be found in their website. Once walking into the sportsdome you are greeted with people watching from the outside looking into the different games, kids and their patients sitting at tables eating, or just hanging out. On the left side is a big indoor field and the right the field is divided in half with a net, that is where soccer sprouts is held! If you continue go to straight you pass by the hangout which serves food and at the end you'll see the basketball courts. Living in reno this is a facility to host outdoor sports inside! It is a big facility to host different sports or even events! Parking is spacious which is nice compared to the north location. We are happy that this location is close to our home!
