No one could eat them. Tossed them all . Also purchased lamb chops for 13 people. There was so much fat on them it took me three hours to trim them. One guest complained that one of the lamb chops he had tasted rancid. Also bought an iced chocolate cake to put birthday candles on. When I prepared to slice the cake I found that the icing covered paper wrapped around the round cake. The cake was stale even though the icing was fresh. So much for Moti's!

The cost of kosher food goods is/has been/ will always be higher than that of certain non-kosher goods, particularly involving meat products. Due to specific religious obligations which must be observed to ensure a more humane slaughtering process, a higher cost factor is involved. Carnivorous and keep kosher? Well, then. The staff is still the same and everything is pretty much same in the store as far as supplies are concerned. This is a nice small store to get essentials of Indian grocery. While I saw some things like English teas, German cookies, and a few Greek items, it seemed like the majority of the offerings were from Eastern Europe. I think over half of the products had labels in Cyrillic alphabet with no translation on them in any fashion, so some things you just gotta know what it is or ask the staff. I saw a lot of things from Georgia and Ukraine, but I think I saw other products from that region (Russian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, etc.). The staff were very friendly, and cheerfully assisted me with some of the pastries we purchased. One had a nice balance of flaky pastry and fruit filling while the blintzes seemed a bit underwhelming. I also picked up a bottle of dessert wine and Children #1 and #2 picked out some candies that caught their eye. The inside is clean and somewhat small but easy to navigate. There is music playing (I don't know what language; I want to say Russian but in today's climate that could be a charged statement. Just want to say it positively adds to the vibe).
