Marufuji does carry a lot of Japanese imported items you cannot find at other stores in the area, and I think it's a great addition to Tysons. All of the employees are so friendly too, I love stopping by just to browse the new stuff they get in every once in awhile. It absolutely is pricey, since it's a very small specialty grocery store. The produce they carry is fresh, but the markup is quite high. You're likely not going to come here for your regular weekday grocery haul. When I shop here I always make sure I'm shopping deals/sales, otherwise I come here for the meat. They have the best quality A5 wagyu and kurobuta pork. Again it's pricey, but even full price it's worth it for the insane marbling. I did manage to catch their wagyu on a sale where it was $80/lb which was a pretty cool find. I'm also personally a sucker for the gachapon machines at the front of the store (which rotate semi-regularly).

For the girls (11 and 13) we the chicken kabobs and I got the Gyro wrap. The chicken was so moist and flavorful. The Gyro was one of the best that I have ever had. The meat was tender and seasoned to perfection. The chicken kabobs came in this cool looking box. The girls said it felt like their dinner came in a gift box. As the name suggests, there are specialty food items from all over Europe. While I saw some things like English teas, German cookies, and a few Greek items, it seemed like the majority of the offerings were from Eastern Europe. I think over half of the products had labels in Cyrillic alphabet with no translation on them in any fashion, so some things you just gotta know what it is or ask the staff. I saw a lot of things from Georgia and Ukraine, but I think I saw other products from that region (Russian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, etc.). The staff were very friendly, and cheerfully assisted me with some of the pastries we purchased. One had a nice balance of flaky pastry and fruit filling while the blintzes seemed a bit underwhelming. I also picked up a bottle of dessert wine and Children #1 and #2 picked out some candies that caught their eye. The inside is clean and somewhat small but easy to navigate. There is music playing (I don't know what language; I want to say Russian but in today's climate that could be a charged statement. Just want to say it positively adds to the vibe). Worth checking out, if you want to explore a product you might not otherwise be exposed to or if you want to find a specialty European item that you've been missing.

Purchased four boxes of knishes. I realize now that they had probably been in stock before Passover. I prepared the 16 knishes according to instructions on the box. They were dry & stale . No one could eat them. Tossed them all . Also purchased lamb chops for 13 people. There was so much fat on them it took me three hours to trim them. One guest complained that one of the lamb chops he had tasted rancid. Also bought an iced chocolate cake to put birthday candles on. When I prepared to slice the cake I found that the icing covered paper wrapped around the round cake. The cake was stale even though the icing was fresh. So much for Moti's!

Produce like Thai Basil, and Thai Eggplant. I traveled to 3 stores in the area trying to find the Eggplant. They have rows and rows of Asian sauces, curries, etc. I highly recommend if you do a lot of Thai cooking and want that authentic taste.
