Sesame candy

I stopped by specifically for Turkish products and found the store to offer a lot more than just Turkish goods. There were even bakery items available for purchase in addition to traditional Mediterranean cheeses and olives. The store carried a lot of Greek products as well. The older woman handling the cash register was kind and patient. She was not too talkative, but I am sure she would have answered any questions I would have asked. Parking is ample, free, outdoor, and right outside. This store is located in the same row as My Organic Market (MOMs Rockville).

Awful customer service. The overweight lady who works there is super rude (I think she may be the owner) but the other employees at the deli are nice. Reading the other reviews, I can see that quite a few people had this experience. Yikes. The review below did it for mee! I will not be returning

A helpful person I know was helping me clean out my car and in their frenzy of throwing things out (good bye Shakira CDs!!) they picked up the evil eye I kept in my car and said: Helpful person: Do you really need this clutter in the car? Me: It's for luck, you've seen me drive. Helpful person: Yup, I will leave that there then. My point is,if that helpful person had thrown out that evil eye, I would have easily replaced it with the funkier ones they have here. They even have ones that are clog shaped like little Holland souvenirs. Having a display of evil eyes is one way of knowing a middle eastern market is legit. As you move further into the market you will find everything you need for fine Mediterranean cuisine. Two gallon bucket of feta? Got that. A can of shark sardines? Yes, and what are shark sardines? Bulgur Wheat? Yes. Pickled Lebneh? I had no idea you could do that but it's here. Greek Wine? Yes. Turkish teksut? Yup, no clue what that is A large olive bar? Yup A wall of tea biscuits? Yup Turkish/Armenian pastries? Yup The hard sesame candies that I grew up with and cost me a fortune in dental bills? Yes So the store has a large selection of Middle Eastern and Turkish products, it's awesome, but that's not what I want to draw your attention to. I came into this store cause I was waiting on car repairs nearby (which means the evil eye in the car is defective) and did not want to spend $15 on a hippy dippy lunch next door at MOM's Organic Market. So seeing the sign for deli I walked in here. Yo, this place has $5 gyros. That's right. Subway has their $5 footlong and this place has a $5 gyro that is probably one of the best I've had in the area. The meat is in strips and obviously not off a spit, but for the price, it's actually good. The falafel is pretty awesome too. The greek salad ($7) is not a bad lunch deal either. Now that I know where this little market is hidden, I may be back for lunch or more evil eyes, depending on how this car repair goes..

Very impressed by this top notch little market that boasts a surprisingly large selection of Mediterranean food. Very clean, well organized, and friendly store. Great selection of beans, lentils, grains, pasta and couscous, herbs and spices, tea, juice, cheese, olives, artichokes, peppers, oils, vinegars, wine, pastry, cookies, flat breads, and much more. I especially liked how they offer house-packaged options for beans, lentils, spices, and herbs at great prices. I got a bag of mint leaves the size of a small child for $13, and various little containers of spices for $0.75 each.

This is a gem of a market with a lot of Greek, Turkish and Middle Eastern treats. They also have some Georgian wines.

This little place had all the necessities of Mediterranean items. The food seems fresh and the owners were friendly.

Unfortunately they were sold out but I could tell the bakery section was fairly popular here. The rest of the store was lit fairly well and was very clean. The lines were not too long and shelves were organized. I didn't know there was a Food Lion here so I think it's great! I thought the closest one was Frederick so I'm glad there's one a bit closer! I'll be going back!

Because of Covid19, we've been eating a lot of canned, dried, and frozen foods and I was really craving some fresh vegetables and fruit. So that's what I did. I went in and I went ham in the produce section. I literally grabbed veg after veg after veg until I zoomed down the back side of the store, picked up some ground me and zoomed to the front. Good thing I accidentally went down the ice cream aisle. I swear it wasn't on purpose! Ended up with some burbon truffle ice cream and some whiskey chocolate ice cream too from Haggan Daaz. The store seemed very clean, the store wasn't crowded ( for some reason this store never is), and the plexi glass in between you and cashier was a nice little added layer of security. The produce I ended up getting was really great actually. The broccoli is great quality, I got collard greens ( the bunches were huge), and I also got some clementines and grapefruit which were both sweet and tart. Solid quality on the veg. Definitely might quarantine shop here again. Solid choice.

My Mom had their green beans as a side and I had a few - they were crispy and very good. Too many places over cook things. Waitress behind the bar was great. Nice 'neighborhoody' casual atmosphere. First time here - will hopefully be back within a few weeks. Five stars, albeit based on one visit Decent beer selection, nothing I hadn't had before. But that's a personal problem, not a restaurant problem. ;-)

Any Marylander of the Boomer and GenX generation knows about O'Donnell's RUM BUNS. I used to come here with family back in its heyday and these were served table side before our meal. How crazy is that, a nice lil somewhat sinful dessert BEFORE some MD crab?! Those were the days! The rum buns are more nostalgia more than anything, I wouldn't say they'll blow your socks off, but hey, nostalgia is nostalgia. Well, I'll need to dine in here for a full and complete verdict, but my quick grab and go visit was a tad chaotic. Service for taking orders could improve - you walk in, there's a seafood counter to your left, bakery counter to your right (both were unmanned when I walked in) and in the middle is a deli section with the cash register where I assume they take orders. We stood there for a few good minutes before getting anyone's attention despite the fact a manager asking staff (not customers) if everyone was being helped. Clearly staff did not know who was waiting to check out, take orders or just waiting for their orders to arrive. So it was just weird. No one greeting you as you walk in either, it just also weird because there's no clear line anywhere you stand. Otherwise, rum buns were as I remembered them. Also picked up crab dip and chicken salad from the grab and go section from the back and they were just ok, not bad, not great. So will come again for a future visit hoping to have a much better meal and experience!

This location is very spacious and offers a wide range of items, including pre-cooked meals,…read moreflowers, fresh baked goods, hot bar, and produce. While some items, especially the ready-to-cook meals, are on the pricier side, you can still find great deals with their private-label products. I really enjoyed the alcohol selection. They carry everything from casual everyday wines to reasonably priced bottles that are actually quite good. The section is well organized, which makes it easy to browse. They also have hard liquor and beer, so most people will be able to find what they are looking for. Another big plus is the number of self-checkout stations, so I did not have to wait in line. The parking lot can be a bit confusing and chaotic depending on the time of day, so keep that in mind. Do not forget to get your parking validated before leaving the store.

I've shopped at this Wegmans numerous times, both in person and via Instacart. Generally speaking,…read morethe produce here is fresh, reasonably priced, and the overall experience is unproblematic. I am part Russian and occasionally crave pierogi (vareniki); Wegmans is one of very few stores that sell fresh refrigerated pierogi (these are much better than the frozen ones). The last few times I instacarted these, I put them in my fridge and a few days later, after opening, I noticed they were moldy. One time I even put them directly in the freezer, and when I opened them they were moldy. I kind of gaslit myself and figured it was my fault for waiting too long to cook them. Well, yesterday I went to Wegmans in person and saw stocked moldy pierogis!! I mean several of the packages had visible mold. I cannot believe Wegmans is selling these, and clearly this is an ongoing issue for months. This really makes me question buying fresh food from Wegmans, given this wasn't a one off. Hopefully this is just limited to the pierogis, which is a specialty product that I assume doesn't have high turnover. Nonetheless buyer beware!! Wegmans, please fix!
