If you're looking for a fun workout class, take Zumba with Talitha. I took my first Zumba class with Talitha and didn't really know what to expect. Talitha has such a warm spirit and brings such a great energy to the room! She also a brings a diverse music selection to work out too! We did everything from country to salsa to soca and Afro beats! Talitha gives a warning prior to the class that she works at about a 6/7 on a scale of 1 to 10. In my opinion I felt that the class moved very quickly, so it was difficult to keep up with the moves. This was also my first class, so that could also attribute to me not grasping the steps quickly. The class itself is very small with about less than 10 people. I prefer this style much more. My first Groupon class pass for zumba, so I was a bit nervous about what I was getting into. Loved Talitha's positive vibe that packed the room full of eager women of all ages, shapes, and backgrounds. It was interesting to observe how dance unites all different demographics. Talitha makes an effort to remember every attendee's name, adding a personal touch to the experience. At the end of the class, we all gathered in a circle to stretch, and she went around and recalled almost every single name of 25+ people crowd! I was impressed. The class is 45 minutes--wish it was an hour! Also wish more times were available during weekday, after work. I was new to the routine, but everyone in the room seemed to be regulars and following the moves effortlessly. The music is uplifting and the mix of HIIT and zumba moves makes it pretty easy for you to learn and then replicate at home. Talitha said that in our class, we'll be working to around 6-7/10 intensity level. I feel we could've pushed it a little more, but I guess that means I'm ready for a more intense class. Talitha is the only woman in this world who can get me to do push-ups and burpees - AND DO THEM HAPPILY. I highly recommend trying her classes. I usually take the "Strong by Zumba" class with her which is offered a few times a week at Pearl Studio. First off, the dance studio is located pretty centrally in Manhattan and the rooms are beautiful - clean, bright and with one full mirror wall. There are water fountains and clean bathrooms to change in on the floor. Talitha will usually email you by noon day of to confirm the location, room and your attendance. She's so dedicated to her program and so amazingly responsible! "Strong by Zumba" is a Zumba class with HIIT workouts. HIIT so subtlety incorporated into the workout you won't even realize you just did so many burpees, pushups, mountain climbers, etc. Her class is a fresh change from the boring, regimented and timed HIIT workouts ubiquitous around the city. I like to have fun when I work out; Tabitha does a great job of making sure I enjoy my workout AND feel it the next morning. The class is the perfect amount of challenging. Talitha is an energetic, encouraging and super passionate instructor. I feel so much stronger after a few weeks of taking her class! I am not sure where I should start her energy or Zumba classes!!! Talitha is such a great soul and always welcoming you! No matter how you feel about your shape or if you try Zumba class the first time! She always read the energy of the room! We always have so much fun and burn a lot of calories! Sometimes I do two classes in a row because I have too much fun and time is flying during classes! She pushes you just enough to level yourself up. This is one of her magical skills because Sometimes other Zumba classes can be overwhelming, especially if you need to warm yourself to working out after a break for a while! She knows what she is doing! She has regulars as well as new faces! Zumba is the most fun workout with Talitha! I think she even has a couple more different classes with different workout paces! Omg so so so great! This was my first time doing Zumba ever and Talitha was great. She was so easy to follow! Also so so so so much fun! She had fantastic energy! And the music was perfect. Kept us going! The energy in the room was great. Great for all levels. Oh and you get a GREAT workout. My FitBit said 700 calories...in that short of a time? Can't do that anywhere else and have that much fun. I've taken a lot of workout classes that have seemed intimidating or just exhausting and never-ending. I didn't look at the clock once. I always feel strengthened and completely refreshed after a Barre class with Talitha. The way that it wakes up my muscles is a full-body energizing experience and I can't get enough of it! I feel stronger with every class, and see evidence of that in how much more I can do each time I take it. And even though I can't always do everything in a class, I never feel discouraged or embarrassed about my limits-- Talitha creates such a calm and inviting environment, I feel welcome and supported in my growth at all times. We need more people like Talitha. I came to her zumba class tonight in the city. She has amazing energy and like some of the reviews said, she'll get you doing moves & routines to push yourself that you usually might give up on. Happy that I found her on groupon. Probably the best deal I found in NYC. She has multiple locations and the sessions are full of cardio so you WILL work a sweat which is what you came to do. I attended my first outdoor Zumba workout class with Talitha, I was a little nervous since it's the first outdoor activity I take since COVID, but OMG! I was so happy I did! Talitha was well prepared with hand sanitizer, masks and water, everyone was at a very safe distance from each other and the energy was amazing! I didn't even care that there were people walking around us, the class was THAT fun and engaging ! One bystander even joined the class ! If I could do a daily Zumba class with Talitha I would definitely do! Highly highly recommended! read more

Talitha Dance Zumba class is so much fun! The dance routines are rigorous enough that you'll get a sweat on for sure but without killing yourself, it is moderate intensity! Talitha is an absolute sweetheart and joy to have as an instructor! So encouraging and energetic! Please but her packages on her website, is worth every cent! Talitha was so fun. She's full of high spirits and positive energy. I had a lot of personal stuff going on yesterday that was weighing heavy on me but I didnt want to cancel on my co-workers so I went and I'm so glad. She made me forget it all and kept me moving for 45 minutes straight. Of course you can move at your own pace and take as many breaks as you need but she doesn't stop moving. You definitely get your monies worth with her class. Her music selection and dance moves are current so you can use them at your next carribbean carnival/festival. If you forget to bring water she sells the tall Smart Water bottles for $1. She had three recurring students yesterday which is a good sign. We chatted with them and all three of them praised Talitha and assured us we were going to love her class and keep coming back. They were right. Cant wait to go back. I would check out her other locations though. The 446 West 36th Street location was a little weird and didn't have any mirrors. read more

First of all let me say how amazing Talitha is!! She's great with communication! This has been my second class with her (totally just being lazy and has nothing to do with her classes). She's a great instructor and full of vibrant energy. Talitha makes you feel like you've been there, done that and will never single you out when you're "messing" up. I've been going to Talitha's classes since last summer and every day is a new and fun experience on my fitness journey. She really makes you put in the work in such a way that you don't feel the monotony of a boring workout. We laugh, we support each other, we get silly with it, and those are only some of the reasons I keep coming back. Talitha's attitude towards each individual that steps into that room is nothing less than warm and inviting. You feel like you've known her for years and she's so encouraging of each person based on their abilities. I never feel like I'm being pushed to do something I don't want to do, but rather through her instruction I'm ABLE to push myself past boundaries I didn't think I could overcome. She checks in with everyone throughout classes, she provides modifications if needed, and she has such a bright spirit and smile it's impossible not to leave that room smiling at the end of class.
