The staff seemed rushed and there was a fairly long wait to get seated (we had reservations). Other than that. The building is newish with a very calming and updated decor. This place exceeded my expectation's!! My niece is the first person that told me about Cooper's Hawk. She did the wine tasting at the Tampa location and raved about it. I then chatted with friends in the Maryland and Chicago area who confirmed that the hype is real! This location opened February of 2025 and I finally made my way to check it out. The location is about 30 minutes from me so it's not necessity in my neck of the woods. A friend said she would drive so I was game to check it out! The restaurant is located in the same plaza as Studio movie grill. There is ample parking around the restaurant, When you walk in you are in the tasting area of the establishment. You have to walk through the tasting area to get to the host stand. We were able to make reservations online so we were seated within a few minutes of arrival, Our server Emma was top Tier!! She deserves a raise, that's how good she was! She told us all about the wine as well as went over the menu and the specials. She is extremely knowledgeable about the wine and the food and was able to provide solid suggestions and feedback. We were able to sample a few wines. I really enjoyed the Vin chocolat Noir wine ( it's not as sweet as it sounds) and the raspberry peach sangria ( I went home with a bottle of this). Note: I do not typically consume alcohol but figured since I was at a spot known for wine I had to give it a try. If you love wine , you will love this place ! The food was done well! According to the about section of the website " Each dish is made fresh in our scratch kitchen, incorporating peak-of-season ingredients, and listed with a bin number to guide you to your selection's perfect wine match." The food tastes fresh and was flavorful! We had the following: Starter: complimentary bread and butter. The bread is a pretzel bread - very unique! Appetizers: Asian Ahi Tuna Sashami, and the classic tomato bruschetta. Both were really good. I can't pick a favorite . I will say you can't go wrong with either choice! entrees: pistachio crusted grouper and baked Parmesan shrimp scampi!! I had the grouper and the combination of fish, mashed potatoes and asparagus paired well together . I wound order this fish again and again. I also tried my friend's scampi and it was all out of this world, bursting with flavor! Overall this place offers a beautiful dining area, stellar customer service with great tasting food and wine! I've been watching this chain popping up all over the country on Yelp and thought it was time to give them a try. A very cool, open and up beat vibe with a modern decor. They boast an "Everything made from scratch" menu and they aren't kidding. Delicious apps and amazing entrées all up and down the menu. Per our server we decided on a nice red (Vin Velouté). So good I actually purchased a few bottle to take home. For starters the Crab-shrimp and lobster Bisque was just amazing. So creamy smooth and delicious. And the Gnocchi carbonara was just amazing, with that pancetta, chicken, sage, peas and parmesan garlic in a cream sauce. Just wow. Another hit of the table was the Ellie's Chicken Piccata. Discovered this spot during my last work trip and it's was such a happy accident. The restaurant is large and nicely decorated. There is a separate tasting room where people can enjoy wine sampling. I was dining solo so I grabbed a seat at the bar. The staff were friendly and attentive. I originally tried Coopers Hawk Mother's Day 2025 and the power went out all we got to eat was a salad and bread. I knew then it was amazing. I FINALLY got a chance to go back and it did not disappoint. The wine is so good. My friend and I did a wine tasting. It was my first one but my friend is a member. She said it's amazing every-time she goes. I loved every wine we tasted. We also had happy hour food at the bar along with a few drinks. The lemon drop was so tasty. We also had the barbacoa quesadilla. The quesadilla had a cheese crust on the outside with the Chipotle sauce. Everything was just fantastic. I can't wait to go back. Passion Fruit Wine -- it was okay to me, but nothing I would personally order again. Take my opinion with a grain of salt though because I'm not really a wine drinker. Baked Parmesan Shrimp Scampi -- this was good. I actually asked for a side of the drunken shrimp garlic cream sauce to put on top because I preferred that sauce more than the one it came with. The original sauce wasn't bad at all, I just liked the other one better. The Leonard Burger -- really good too. Overall, I'll definitely be back, especially to try the wine tasting. I believe it's 5 tastings for $12. The server also recommended joining the wine club because they have a special going on with 2 bottles next month... Overall great experience! I hadn't been to a Cooper's Hawk since living in Kansas City years ago so it was great knowing that the service and quality of food still holds up. I started with the white wine flight and ate from their happy hour menu. The smashed sliders were excellent. So good and just enough food. I didn't care for the sauce they were served with though. The show stopper of this meal was the Three Cheese & Italian Sausage Arancini. The marinara was delicious, the sausage and cheese stuffing inside of the balls was excellent. They were soft and delicious and there were five of them! I couldn't get enough and definitely want to try this the next time I go to this restaurant. Parking Parking is in a strip mall, parking is plentiful. Restaurant Upon entering the restaurant you walk right into the wine tasting room. They have a plethora of their own wines. They also sell wine glasses, decanters, etc. We were hungry so we went straight to the hostess stand. We were seated immediately and our server Corey immediately walked up to the table. Corey is very knowledgeable about the wines and food. I ordered the following: Leonard Burger, Asian slaw the spa non-alcoholic drink. My spouse ordered the surf and turf with strip steak and shrimp. My spouse wanted the strip steak medium but it was served well done. Corey was very accommodating and stated he would have another steak prepared. Corey was amazing. My spouse stated she would keep the steak she had. A few minutes later a manager came to the table and apologized and stated a dessert would be on the house. Overall we enjoyed all the food. My burger was noises and cooked perfectly. Even house my spouses steak was cooked well done it was still tender. We will definitely return and stop for wine tasting. Our drinks were abroad and some bread.But after that, our server disappeared.When we finally saw her again , we inquired about our appetizer because it had been such a long time. When she went to get the appetizer , all of the food came at the same time. We had been sitting with no drink.Refills , no appetizer , no check-ins or anything.It was if we weren't there. Our appetizer wasn't fresh but on the cold salty side. It was a huge disappointment, to say the least.I live 58 minutes away, and I was really looking forward to an AMAZING EXPERIENCE, but I was highly disappointed this evening.What a disappointment and embarrassment. Our waiter was very sweet and I do not really blame him, but he forgot a few things and brought my friend the completely wrong dish (and when it did arrive there was a piece of plastic in it, though they wound up comping the dish) so we all waited while she got the correct one and our food slowly went cold. The interior is beautiful and the wine selection is impressive, although the overall experience did not live up to what I was expecting. This is an interesting place that has something on the menu for everyone. We went as a party of 4 and the started with drinks. The cocktails were fine - i figured when in Rome and I had a pb&j old fashioned. As a bourbon fan I should have known it would be entirely too sweet for my liking and was paired with a wine that tased like Welch's grape juice. We had a couple of appetizers and 3 entrees between us - it was all pretty good. Nothing spectacular but solid. The menu provides matching wine selections for each food item which is interesting and helpful. The place itself is quite large with many different rooms. There are a lot of tables which means a lot of noise. Combined with the large tables that had the four of us quite a distance from one another and we couldn't hear much to have a real conversation. She was attentive, offered great suggestions, and kept it real the entire time. For brunch, we had the Brisket Hash. The flavors were amazing and the brisket was incredibly tender. It would've been perfect if it had been served a bit hotter, as it may have been sitting for a moment. The pork chop lunch portion was also outstanding. I haven't had a pork chop in years, but this one was boneless, tender, juicy, and served over delicious pieces of candied bacon. They were out of potatoes, so I chose the broccolini, which paired well. The jambalaya was surprisingly good too--served with a scoop of jasmine rice surrounded by the jambalaya. I would absolutely order either of those dishes again. And of course, we loved the complimentary pretzel bread that comes out before the meal! We also did a wine tasting. I can't remember the name of our server, but she had a short brown curly fro and was incredibly knowledgeable about all the wines. Isidra was our waitress and she was attentive and extremely pleasant. I love this atmosphere at this Cooper's Hawk. This was me and my husband's first time at this location. First we started out with the wine tasting. I haven't picked up my bottle of wines in a few months, so I had 12 bottles to pick up. :-) Then, we decided to dine in. I had the shrimp scampi with extra shrimp and my husband had shrimp and scallops. The food was decent, but not the best from what we are used to when eating at Cooper's Hawk. The employees are friendly and the manager stopped by our table to make sure all was well. Girls day out! I like the concept. We had brunch and the services was excellent. The problem came with the tasting part. They only had one person behind the bar doing the tastings. You get two glasses to taste 8 wines. The problem with that is they don't rinse the glasses after each tastings so you taste the other wine with the new wine. The other problem is that they only had one person behind the bar so we had to wait a long time in between tastings. I mentioned that to a manager but she did nothing. Place looks clean and brand new. The have a ton of wine tastings here. You should set reservations or come during the off hours. I sat at the bar and got some of the best service. The AC is blowing directly on the bar so that was annoying. I tried the strawberry lemonade, pretzel bread, churasco steak, pistachio crusted grouper, mashed potatoes, and grilled vegetables. Lemonade tasted like it had some tea mixed in. Tasted great still. The pretzel bread is average but helps with cravings. The steak, fish, and sides are amazing. I want to come back. read more

Wow--what a hidden gem in Alpharetta! The interior of this restaurant is absolutely stunning and impressively spacious. When you walk in, there's a tasting room to greet you, followed by a lively bar area and a massive dining room. They feature a scratch kitchen and offer one of the most extensive gluten-free menus I've ever seen. I ordered the gluten-free gnocchi alla vodka, and it was phenomenal. They even provide complimentary gluten-free bread, which is a rare and thoughtful touch. The only drawback--and the reason I'm not giving a full five stars--is the wait time for drinks and service provided by the waiter. Unfortunately, this wasn't a one-off experience; both times I've visited, my cocktail took nearly 20 minutes to arrive, coming out just moments before the food. It's not ideal having to follow up with the server about a drink, and it made things a bit uncomfortable. Our waiter didn't really check on us, but it could be because it was a pretty busy night for a Tuesday. So maybe they had short staff. I really enjoyed this place! First the wine tasting. I believe it includes 8 wines and even though they have a curated wine menu, all their wines are on the back and you can switch it up if you want. & their wines are good! They give you a nice size pouring of each one, so you'll definitely feel it a little bit. You can also mark the ones you want & purchase at the end. The only "issue" I would have is that the wine tasting is standing the entire time, but that's probably a good idea so people don't get too drunk. It's set up like a bar with no seating, but it does get crowded before you know it. I thoroughly enjoyed the tasting & I enjoyed the food just as much. Both the plating & the flavors delivered. I can appreciate a dish that tastes just as good as it looks. The drunken shrimp & the ahi tuna sashimi were my favorites by far. The sauce with the sashimi really set it off. I almost ordered another one, it was that good. For entrees, we had the brisket hash, shrimp & scallop risotto, & the gnocchi carbonara. The brisket hash was real good, just wish there was more of the brisket in it. The risotto was great, although it didn't eat like a risotto. It didn't have the creamy, essence that risotto has & the rice was just a hair undercooked, but it still checked off the yum box. Maybe they could call it something else, but either way I'd absolutely get it next time. The only reason they're getting 4 stars & not 5 is because the gnocchi carbonara wasn't good. Where to start... Saturday lunch at the bar, several empty seats had dirty dishes with a lot of employees standing around, no one cleared. Finally a menu was offered but dirty glasses nvere removed. My wife got a place mat for her meal , i did not nor did i ghet cutlery (had to ask). Food took forever whilst we were assured "the dishes get plated". Had lunch today with my wife and friends at Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant. This is a very nice upscale casual restaurant with extensive wine selections and pairings for folks who enjoy wines and wine flights and tastings. The menu is quite extensive and service very friendly and pleasant though it wasn't quite prompt. It's fine if you're in no rush. We started off with a house salad that was quite fresh with iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and croutons. It was good but could be improved with more salad ingredient variety rather than mostly iceberg lettuce. For what is was, it was still good. For our entrees, we all chose the parmesan crusted chicken breast. This chicken breast was pounder thin, lightly breaded and fried, served on a bed of delicious mashed red potatoes seasoned just right. The chicken was lightly covered with a white wine gravy with cherry tomato halves. We topped off our lunch with chocolate cake and coffee. The cake was light and sweet but not overpowering and the coffee fresh and smooth. Copper's Hawk is definitely worth a try and including in your restaurant rotation. Great for casual, business casual, or formal celebrations. It's especially good for those who enjoy wines as their selection is extensive. Definitely worth trying. read more

I want to say that the first time I went I fell in love with this place. So this is a super dope winery situation. You come in the door and there's wine galore so if you're into fruit of the vine, this would definitely be a spot for you to go ahead and play around in. So this spot has free parking in the parking lot because it's in the middle of a parking lot of a shopping center. So you don't have to worry about having to pay or anything along those lines. So that's really good. I actually stayed there in that area more than I went to the bar and the dining area. But there was so much to see and everybody was super friendly there, why would I leave? LOL! So let me first start by saying this, I actually am subscribed to the wine club membership. Every time you have your membership re-up, you'll get wine in your account. And you can go and get this wine whenever you want. You don't have to go buy anything specific or go to the bar, just go to the first wine tasting area and then they'll let you pick what you'd like. This is really dope because they let you try a number of things before you are able to make your selections so you make the right selection. I'll also say at this spot is definitely dope for wine tastings. Depending on what kind of membership you have at the wine club, you probably are able to get a couple of tastings on your account. So they will have a layout for what they're going to do for the wine tasting and then they will walk you through maybe six to eight different wines. The wine tasting goals for about an hour or so, give or take, so just keep that in mind as far as if you are going for dinner or have reservations. They actually have a lot more space than you see right at the gate. There is some outdoor seating and there's actually a dining room tucked away as well so don't make it seem like they don't have space when you first go there. Also just to note, if you go there on a weekend, be careful because the lines can be very long at the wine tasting bar. So imagine having it be shoulder to shoulder when you have a ton of people trying to all do the wine tasting and the lobby be full. You can see the pictures that the lobby is very spacious and the wine tasting area but from my understanding, it gets really packed! When I got there I met Stanley, he was behind the wine bar and was super solid and help me make the right decisions and didn't let me walk away unless I was satisfied. So shout out to him. I really want to go back and try the food and maybe try some of the cocktails. The bar is very nice and clean and very well put together, but the starter show is definitely the one. So first and foremost, the food was absolutely stellar! We got the spaghetti with meatballs in the blue cheeseburger. It was cooked to perfection as this is from a from scratch restaurant. We were absolutely delighted. The waiter we had was very sweet as well but all in all our dinner took 2 and 1/2 hours. Water glasses weren't refilled, and for a good amount of time, a server couldn't be found. We sat outside and it was very nice. The patio was lovely. The entire establishment is absolutely immaculate. It's amazing. I really hope it was an off night. I'll definitely give it a try again. read more

Cooper's Hawk in Alpharetta never disappoints! As wine club members, we always look forward to our visits, and this time was no exception. Our date night took an unexpected turn when our sitter canceled, but the restaurant's welcoming atmosphere made it easy to enjoy the evening as a family. We started with a bottle of Vin Velouté--my absolute favorite--and ordered the caprese flatbread and calamari as appetizers. Both were delicious and well-prepared. For our entrées, I had the pecan-crusted pork chop, which was cooked to perfection, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his jambalaya. Our 6-year-old had the cheeseburger with fries, which also came with fruit and a Shirley Temple--a nice touch! My husband also enjoyed two expertly made Old Fashioneds. Kareem was our server, and he was fantastic. The hostess and service team were, as always, friendly and attentive. Whether it's a date night or a family dinner, Cooper's Hawk continues to impress us with its food, wine, and hospitality. Can't wait for our next visit! read more

My husband and I came across Coopers Hawk one night while looking for a place to have dinner, accompanied by a glass of wine. It was a Thursday night, and luckily we landed an available reservation around the time we started our search. Cooper's Hawk is located near the North Point Mall shopping center as well as other local areas of interest which makes this a prime attention location. The interior wine bar seems as if it's a whole separate atmosphere than the dining area, which is nice since they are only separated by the restaurant wall. The wine bar is large enough to house multiple parties, and the sommeliers are very knowledgeable when it comes to their wines. The dining area is perfect for Date Nights and is not overly loud. The staff is amazing and offered both my husband and I a tasting of wine prior to ordering our meal. They made recommendations of which wine would pair with the meals that we had in mind. The overall price paid for the value and quality of food was amazing. While this restaurant might not offer the same deals, similar to a local bar joint, they offer something much more with the overall experience. The food tasted amazing. we were able to make substitutions on sides, no questions asked. Always a nice touch, and way to keep customers coming back for more, since they will always be able to get exactly what they want. We decided on a three course option to get an understanding of a variety of items on the menu. We shared a calamari appetizer which was full of flavor, each had our own main course, and indulged in a specialty dessert. I can't wait until we go back for round two! read more
