Egg breakfast sandwich, coffee, and vanilla maple syrup buttered toast

Super fresh and delicious bread! The sweet toast was amazing but definitely for syrup lovers. Highly recommend their breakfast sandwich. All the ingredients were super fresh. Adorable seating area with games and everything was very clean. Service was friendly and helpful and the coffee was freshly brewed. Will be coming back!

Great breads and great treats. I always stop for a treat when I'm close by. I've enjoyed their cherry almond scone, chocolate babka, chocolate rye cookies, and more but those are some of the items that have stood out to me! I got their ciabatta during my most recent visit- it was awesome. We also tried one of their meat filled pastries which my bf really enjoyed. I haven't even ordered anything from their menu, but I will definitely be back to do so.

The staff were super sweet and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is cute inside and out. But I was highly disappointed in the sandwich. It was so hard I couldn't even eat it. Bacon was black. Maybe I will give them another try at some point, but this was not what I was expecting. As a fellow restaurant employee, we would never serve something to a customer like this.

Really beautiful place! The staff is super friendly and they have really delicious breads and pastries. Coffee is great too. I came two days in a row. I tried the German sandwich, the muffuletta and the breakfast sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious.

My new favorite store! It is a beautiful country drive to get to Talking Breads in Mechanicsburg. Whatever time you spend in the car is worth it. Fresh baked breads, some always available and some specials each week, and bakery items are the highlight! Sourcing local grains gives their items a definite edge. In addition to bread, they offer local cheese and meats, some fresh produce, eggs, gorgeous flower bouquets, dried apples, olive oil and more. To top it off you can get a cup of fresh coffee, cold pressed juice or a sandwich and go sit around the farm to enjoy the food and the scenery. The team at Talking Breads is clearly passionate about their work. Service is top notch. Add this to your list of must try bakeries!

Absolutely love this place. I come here on the weekends in the morning with my mom and we always get fresh bread and coffees or juices. The food is delicious. The bread is baked daily and it's all farm to table. The vibe is so cute. It's nestled away off the side of a main street but when you sit outside with your food, you can just hear the sounds of nature and just stare at their amazing property. Right when you walk in, you can see all of the freshly baked bread for the day and someone's always there to help you or answer questions. Service is great. Can be a little pricey, but worth it.

A must-stop for me when in Mechanicsburg. I always stock up on bread, Apple Valley Creamery milk, etc. there. The drip coffee is Elementary Coffee Co. and their chocolate rye cookie is delicious. Best thing is when they make focaccia pizzas! They are super friendly and even gave my baby a mini bagel once.

Cute place I totally drove right past. There is a sign, but it's natural wood color blends with the gorgeous country surroundings. Easy enough to find a place to turn around. Handicap parking available. The rest of parking is gravel & grass. It's tucked back off the road. The landscape is stunning. Their website says they're farmers so I don't know how much is their land, but it's beautiful. I didn't see indoor seating. My friend & I sat outside. They have sweet treats, breads, and other food items. I bought a bacon, egg sandwich and a cappaccino. It was $12 & change. It was good. You order inside, but they have a window to pass your order through to you. Service is nice, kind. They have a dog & cat on premises. I was told the dog, Sammy, is friendly but does not like to be petted. I am afraid of dogs & did not try to pet it. I did put my hand out so Sammy could smell me & know I am friendly. I was several feet away & he or she growled at me. Because of my personal uncomfortableness I may not be back, but their bread is soooo good that I may have to just pop in and right out real quick. They have games and books available too which I think is so inviting. It really feels like the owners want you to come and stay awhile.

While scrolling social media one evening, I stumbled across a heated debate about who makes the…read morebest peanut butter pie in Central PA. This conversation was clearly MADE for me. As someone who takes peanut butter desserts perhaps a little more seriously than the average human being, I immediately started making a list of the top contenders. Oak Grove Farms kept popping up, so when I found myself with a free rainy Saturday afternoon, it became time for an official Peanut Butter Pie Procurement Mission. Now, Oak Grove Farms offers way more than peanut butter pie. Their farm market is stocked with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, dairy products, locally made items and all kinds of other goodies. But this particular Yelp review? This mission? Laser-focused on peanut butter pie. Before leaving home, I called to make sure I wouldn't drive over only to discover they'd sold out. The nice lady who answered the phone happily confirmed they still had peanut butter pie available. Mission status: ON! When I arrived, I was actually surprised by how busy the farm market was despite the rainy weather. Apparently a little rain isn't enough to keep folks away from Oak Grove, which is always a good sign. I walked straight inside and made an immediate beeline for the refrigerated pie case. There were only two individual slices of peanut butter pie left, so I grabbed one before anyone else could beat me to it. They also had half and whole pies available, but let's try to exercise at least a little self-control on the first visit. The damage? A whopping $2.49 for a slice of peanut butter pie. I actually laughed. That's almost suspiciously affordable these days. As I was heading toward the register, I made the mistake of walking past the whoopie pies. Or perhaps the best decision of the day. Five minutes later, I was walking out with not only my peanut butter pie but also a Shoofly Whoopie Pie for another $2.50. My picnic dessert situation had officially escalated. Fast forward a few hours...dinner was over. It was dessert time. The peanut butter pie absolutely lived up to the hype! The filling was light and fluffy while still delivering a rich peanut butter flavor in every bite. I'm usually not the biggest fan of chocolate cookie crusts on peanut butter pie because I think they sometimes overpower the filling, but this one worked beautifully. Even the little dollops of whipped topping around the edge added just the right finishing touch. This one has officially earned a spot near the top of my Central PA peanut butter pie rankings! And then...the Shoofly Whoopie Pie. I honestly bought it because I'd never seen one before and curiosity got the better of me. And, I'm really glad it did! It was incredibly moist with a rich molasses flavor that came through beautifully without being overwhelming. It was unlike any whoopie pie I've had before, and easily one of my favorite varieties I've tried in quite a while. Mission accomplished! While Oak Grove Farms is clearly much more than just a destination for desserts, this peanut butter pie expedition was an overwhelming success. Next time I'll spend more time exploring everything else the market has to offer. But let's be honest...I'll probably leave with another slice o

So I thought it was time to revisit Vitality Bowls® - stopped in just after lunch hour & saw that the Supergreen Goddess Salad was still on the menu (nice balance of chicken, greens, eggs w/ avocado). I placed my order & sat at one of the 3 tables (I'm pretty sure the lion's share of business is to-go) - waited about a couple'a minutes for my made-to-order salad. When it came, it was just as good as previous visits, with everything fresh. Vitality is a good healthy choice nestled among all the nearby fast-food joints. They also have a selection of juices if that's your thing. I'll keep it in the dining rotation!

There are only a few tables, although none were occupied. The hummus and veggie appetizer was a huge disappointment. The hummus was tasty, but unfortunately the potion was only enough for about 1/3 of the veggies. The carrots and celery appeared to be a couple days old by the discoloration. The celery was impossible to dip in the hummus as it was chopped/sliced for a salad. Thankfully, the steak bowl was delicious and the right sized portion. All the ingredients were fresh and very flavorful. It was easy to distinguish between the different flavors. Not sure yet if I will give this place another visit.

When I arrived, I was person three of three in the small bakery. Quiet and calm, except for a man around my age and a younger boy chatting at a table about basically every topic under the sun. The vibe was gentle, warm, and perfectly unhurried. I took my time browsing their pastry cases--very full pastry cases--and genuinely could have eaten one of everything. But tonight was a dessert-only mission, so I narrowed it down to two knockout items. First up: the easiest decision I've made in months. A HUGE chocolate-dipped cannoli roll filled with hazelnut crème. This masterpiece was absolutely heavenly. The chocolate coating was thick and rich (the kind that snaps when you bite it). The cannoli shell stayed crunchy, which is rare and beautiful. And the hazelnut crème? Smooth, whipped, sweet in that refined way where you feel delighted, not diabetic. Perfection. My second pick was smaller but impossible to leave behind: a Pistachio roll with glossy sweet frosting on the outside, perched on a crunchy cannoli puff, absolutely stuffed with pistachio filling. And let me tell you--this filling was to die for. Sweet, silky, pistachio-forward without veering into "pure nut paste" territory. Pistachio in baked goods can be hit-or-miss for me, but Massimo's nailed the balance. Honestly, they've nailed everything I've ever had from here. My total came to $10.20 including tip, and the value felt spot-on for the size, flavor, and quality of the pastries. Plenty of free parking right out front since it's in a small strip mall. And can we talk about their hours? They're open 7am-7pm, Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays), which is practically unheard of for local bakeries. Those long hours make Massimo's an unbeatable post-dinner dessert stop or a sweet late-afternoon pick-me-up. Friendly staff, gorgeous pastries, shelves of grab-and-go treats, and the peaceful ambiance of a bakery that doesn't rush you. My first solo trip definitely won't be my last. Highly recommend treating yourself. You deserve it.
