I'll definitely be giving this place another try. Hubs really enjoyed his sundried tomato bagel egg & bacon sandwich. I had an egg white delight on whole grain everything bagel. While I loved how much everything season is on the bagel, it made the bagel taste extra salty. It was to much salt & I just couldn't enjoy it. It fueled me for my day, but it wasn't savor worthy. The PS I Love Chocolate hot cocoa coffee is Devine, very sweet. We were greated by Izzy with such amazing joy. There's a beautiful sign hanging from the owners thanking their guests for supporting their small business. It's a very welcoming place with plenty of parking and seating to stay to enjoy your treat.

Very cute open interior. Service was friendly and fast! The sandwiches we ordered were HUGE. I got the Turkey Sammie & my bf got a bagel sandwich with hot honey. Can't wait to go back

Food was so good. Strawberry banana smoothie tastes like dessert and really like the puree or syrup they add. Breakfast sandwich was loaded and delicious - added a hash brown and double cheese!

The quality of the food and selection on the menu is 100/10. The servers at kind yet a little frazzled .. but attentive. The efficiency still seems to need some work ... we should have ordered online ... but not sure that would have helped unless we did so an hour before. We ordered at the counter and the same person taking the order stopped to grab our bagels and muffins. Then finished taking our order for drinks and a hot sandwich. We joined the masses waiting for their orders, shuffling from place to place to allow others to walk about. Eventually someone called name to ask a question about our bagel order since she was pulling them ... I told her we already got everything but the drinks and sandwich. She seemed surprised but said that our order would be out soon. We got our drinks soon after, and I finished my coffee while waiting for the sandwich. Then we received the sandwich and got on our way home. Where we discovered they gave us a second set of muffins ... one of which was upside down and melty since it was on top of the hot Sammy. The dining room is packed, but well over half the folks are waiting - to either place an order or waiting for their food. Only a few tables of folks actually eating. Not the quietest place or be but full of energy! Make sure you get on the WiFi too - it's an AT&T dead zone!

Wow what an experience, I see what the hype is all about. I ordered a sausage, egg, and pepper jack cheese on everything bagel. The sandwich was fresh and a generous portion. They have a huge menu to choose from and I can't wait to try other delicious food. Employees were very helpful and friendly. Ambiance was a little loud it was hard to hear when they called your name, but what they did with the interior it amazing!!

New Breakfast/Lunch venue in the Mechanicsburg area - woohoo! I waited a few weeks before braving the crowds for the first time ...was pleasantly surprised when I did. During both of my visits (so far), I ordered the 'Hollywood' Breakfast sandwich (toasted sesame seed hoagie roll, seasoned steak, two sunny side up eggs, gouda cheese, lettuce & tomato) - and each time it was great! Steak was perfectly done (juicy, not dry & overcooked). Dining is open-concept and can be quite noisy if it is during the busy times. Although I haven't tried them yet, the bagels look quite tempting. I definitely recommend the breakfast sandwiches!

Go to bagel boutique immediately! You will not be disappointed! I went early on Sunday morning. The line was manageable. They offer sandwiches, coffees, smoothies and have many creative bagel combos! I decided to get half a dozen to go. I got the everything, asiago and sun-dried tomato bagels. For the cream cheeses a.k.a. Schmears, I got the veggie and the chive and onion. Hands-down, these are the best schmears that I have ever had. I love a good bagel and love trying new bagel places in my travels. These by far are the best veggie and chive and onion cream cheeses I've ever had. They also have flavored butters. I will go back to try their sandwiches, special bagels sandwiches and even their lunch items. It is nicely decorated with some fun items, such as a selfie wall and directions on how to store your bagels!

Wow!!! My friend said this was a must-stop while visiting, and she was absolutely right. The bagels were delicious, and I honestly wished my coffee never ran out! The employees were great, and you can tell they run a tight ship. Even though it was busy, there was a great flow and positive energy throughout the place. I can't wait to come back!

My sister and I go to this place quite a bit! They have the best bagels! The owner told us that he goes and gets the dough from New York because people say it's the water in NY that makes the bagels taste so good! Whatever the reason these bagels are delicious! I love it that I can get vegan cream cheese in my bagel!! They have many different types of bagels! They also have sandwiches and a variety of food! It's a cute little place and we drive to Mechanicsburg to go there! Worth the trip!

My first time visiting this restaurant. The decor is super cute. I love the open floor layout. They have so many delicious menu items to choose from, but I went with the chipotle chicken wrap. It was packed with wonderful flavor and didn't lack any ingredients. The staff were friendly and efficient. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Which is the smaller version to their big cheesesteak and comes with fries and a drink. Not bad at all in my opinion. But don't get fooled, it's a decent size and filled me up! I ordered mine with sharp provolone, onions and wiz. But you can add a lot more toppings for an up charge. The bread was soft and fresh, what I love most was that sharp provolone. It was delicious and the wiz just took it to another level. It was absolutely delicious. Their fries are nicely seasoned with salt , which is also good. You could tell they have a lot of regulars , as I sat there I saw many groups come in and out for their steak sandwiches. Definitely a good spot. It has a decent amount of tables to sit at.

Philly sports photos and memorabilia all over the walls. All the staff I interacted with were extremely nice and helpful. I decided to get the Little Philly Special which comes with a 6 inch cheesesteak, fries and a drink. I went with the cheese fries because that's just what you do. From the hoagie roll bags I saw it looks like they get the rolls shipped in from Philadelphia which is the only way to go. My only complaint besides the awful decor j/k is the whiz was runner then most cheesesteak places so dipping the fries made an unbelievable mess. Everything tasted phenomenal though. From what I saw while eating my lunch is that their hoagies are just as popular here.

I've driven by Joy's a million times and somehow never noticed it before. It's tucked into a busy strip mall and easy to miss if you're not specifically looking for it. Spoiler alert: you should be looking for it. My quest for the evening included both a burger and a chili dog, because they both looked amazing and I wanted the full Joy's experience. My adventure buddy and I arrived around 5pm and I was honestly surprised to see only one other person inside when we walked in. We grabbed a booth by the front door and looked over the menu again to finalize our plan. Since it was our first visit, we decided to order a few things and split them so we could try more. We ordered the loaded chili dog topped with chili, cheese, onions, and mustard ($5.25) and one of the Big Block Burgers -- specifically the Joy's Burger -- which came with grilled onions and mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, LA sauce, Swiss cheese, and fresh cut fries ($12.99). Naturally we added bacon for an extra $0.99 because that felt like the right decision. We also each grabbed a Diet Pepsi (to maintain some illusion of balance) for $2.50 each. Our total came to $25.69 before tip, which felt like a pretty solid deal for a two-person Friday night dinner adventure. The setup at Joy's has a classic old-school diner feel. The grill sits right behind the seating counter so you can watch your food being made, and they mix milkshakes right out front as well. The place is simple and no-frills -- and in my experience, those "keep it simple and do it well" places are often the real heavy hitters. The chili dog came out first, and the first thing I noticed was that this thing was HEAVY. This wasn't your typical skinny hot dog -- it was a full ¼-pound dog absolutely loaded with chili. The flavor reminded me of a Cincinnati-style chili dog and it was really good. The chili was flavorful instead of just decorative, the mustard and onions were balanced perfectly, and the bun did its job without getting in the way. As someone who takes chili dogs very seriously, I have to give Joy's credit for delivering a straightforward, perfectly executed chili dog. Next came the burger and fresh cut fries, and when I say this burger was big, I mean BIG. Two patties tall with all the toppings stacked high. We sliced it in half and immediately dug in. The bacon was perfectly crisp, the mushrooms and Swiss were generous, and the whole thing just tasted like a real, proper burger. Not a chain burger that started life frozen and tastes like it could have been reheated in my microwave at home. This was the kind of burger you picture when you say you're craving a burger. The fries were exactly what you want from fresh-cut fries -- the smaller ones nice and crispy, and the bigger ones crispy on the outside with that soft, fluffy inside. Splitting the chili dog and burger turned out to be the right call. It would have been easy to eat everything solo, but my stomach probably would not have forgiven me later. Our server was super friendly and attentive throughout the visit. While we were there, a few more people came in to eat, but overall it felt relaxed and easy for a Friday evening. Parking is free since Joy's sits in a strip mall, but it can be a little tight because there are several other popular businesses nearby. We were able to find a spot without trouble, but I could see it getting tricky during busier times. If you're looking for solid burgers, legit chili dogs, and an old-school diner vibe, Joy's Grill & Burger House is absolutely worth seeking out -- especially if you're like me and always on the lookout for your next great burger or chili dog adventure.

A quick search later and I realized it was only 20 minutes from home. I immediately grabbed a friend and requested a dinner date for the item that caught my eye: the Bratwurst mit Kraut -- bratwurst cooked with apples and sauerkraut, served on a pretzel bun and topped with even more kraut, with a side of German potato salad ($12). But I'll admit... I was also eyeing their Obatzda Burger with Oktoberfest beer cheese. Feeling bold, I asked our waitress if I could order their regular Pretzel Braid appetizer ($9) but swap the usual cheez-wiz and spicy mustard for that dreamy Oktoberfest beer cheese instead. She paused, smiled, wrote it down, and said, "that sounds really good!" Bless the chef for making my pretzel + beer cheese fantasy come true. The pretzel braid was warm, soft, and perfectly salty, and that beer cheese was the real MVP -- smooth, melty, not too hot, and with a proper beer-cheese finish. When the bratwurst plate arrived, it was a showstopper. Juicy brat, tangy kraut piled high, and tucked inside a pretzel roll that was soft but sturdy enough to hold it all together. No mustard needed! The German potato salad surprised me, though -- I'm used to the warm version, so finding it chilled caught me off guard. But honestly? It worked. Perfectly seasoned, just wet enough to be salad without drifting into soupy territory. I demolished both. Dessert was impossible to skip after hearing our waitress describe it to another table. We shared both the Apple Caramel Crumb Cake and the Lemon Blueberry Mascarpone Cake. The crumb cake was served warm with ice cream, loaded with thick, crunchy topping that didn't rely on chopped nuts (bonus points!). The mascarpone cake was light and buttery with the perfect balance of lemon and blueberry -- like saying goodbye to summer and hello to fall all in one dessert sitting. Southside Deli's Oktoberfest menu blew me away, and if their everyday offerings are anywhere close, I've been seriously missing out. Add in free parking, a convenient location, and plenty of seating, and it's an easy go-to spot for lunch or dinner. Southside is officially on my food rotation radar now!

That was the best spot to get some food to recharge, so I decided to take a walk down memory lane and get an Italian sub when I got off of work. The staff was inviting, and the place still looked and smelled the same as it did when I was a kid. There was plenty of meat on the sub with all the fixings, and of course, I complemented it with plain Middleswarth chips. Being from Pennsylvania, you have to eat it with Middleswarth chips! My mouth was drooling looking at the sub, even though the roll itself felt very hard. With the first bite, I went right down memory lane, sitting in my grandfather's green Ford Ranger. I scarfed it down, but well... I was disappointed. The bread was so hard that it almost scratched the roof of my mouth. The cheese was just bland, not bursting with flavor, and the salami and pepperoni slices had no flavoring to them at all. I think the only thing that saved it was the hot peppers that I added. To make matters worse, I also noticed the bathrooms were dirty, which is never a good sign. I also felt very slow and sluggish afterward. I don't think food is supposed to do that; food is supposed to give you energy, not slow you down. I do not recommend this place for a sub at all. I'd rather get one from a pizza shop or even Sheetz--and I think all Sheetz food tastes like cardboard, but that's just me. I hope my review helps you decide where to get your sub next!
