    Cannoli pastry
    Megan P.

Went here for the first time today after passing it many times to and from work. I was having a bad day and needed a pick me up. I walked in and was welcomed immediately by the smell of fresh pastries and a kind Italian woman. I ordered two "Lobster Tail" cannoli pastries and a mini cheesecake . The food was INCREDIBLE, fresh and authentic! I HIGHLY recommend!

Two cannoli filled lobster tails, two fruit tarts, and random other awesome treats.

This is my favorite Italian Bakery in the area. Family owned and the desserts are amazing! Customer service is their forte. As they are always patient in explaining what everything is. We like to try everything. My favorite dessert of theirs is the cannoli filled lobster tail. The pastry is perfectly flaky and the cannoli filling is just the right balance of sweetness without being over sweet. Also got to try the pizza this time and the white broccoli surprised me. I usually like a light ricotta, and this had a lot of ricotta. So I was worried at first but I was surprised. They must make their own ricotta or something, as I very much enjoyed their white Sicilian over any other white pizza I have had in the area. Overall a great local family owned business selling a quality product! Highly recommend

Massimo's made the desserts for my wedding, and they were absolutely delicious! Everything they make that I've tried has been fantastic. I've been to most bakeries around the Harrisburg area, and this is by far my favorite. I moved here from NYC a few years ago, and thought I could never find good quality Italian baked goods in this area until Massimo's opened! They're the only authentic Italian bakery around that reminds me of the italian bakeries I used to go to in NYC, a quality of which I thought I wouldn't see once I moved to PA. I'm so so happy they moved into this area! Best rainbow cookies I've probably ever had. Great cannolis....great cookies of all types. Highly recommend for any event, or just for stopping in for a quick dessert bite.

    So delicious tasty cakes!

What a friendly place! You know you're in the right spot when the mother and daughter are speaking Italian to each other.. we bought some cannolis and some cakes. So delicious! The cannolis were amazing.. peanut butter cup and a Oreo cannoli were so tasty.. you can tell they use pure ingredients and even the cannoli shell was crisp! Love it and will definitely be back to this friendly and welcoming place! Clean and very nicely arranged! Recommend for sure!

Everything looked amazing but none of the items I ordered were fresh. Seemed to be a few days old. Underwhelming.

Chocolate dipped cannot was delicious, as were the almond thumb cookies. It would be nice if they had more gluten free options.

This was my second visit to Dalicia -- my first was for dessert (which unfortunately didn't win me…read moreover), and this time my adventure buddy was set on giving their dinner menu a try. Menu unseen, expectations unclear...so off we went! Knowing from past experience that the restaurant can feel drafty, I arrived layered up and ready for a cozy-but-practical evening on a cold February night. We walked in around 6pm without a reservation and were seated without issue as we were the only two people inside other than folks working. We started with the flatbread appetizer (feta, spinach, artichoke, mozzarella, mushrooms, peppers, scallions, turkey pepperoni on flaky pastry - $8), and honestly -- this was the highlight of the night. The pastry was thin and crisp, piled generously with toppings, and finished with what tasted like a garlicky sauce that brought everything together beautifully. Light, flavorful, and genuinely delicious. In hindsight, I should have just ordered a second one and called it dinner while things were still making me do the happy food dance. For my entrée, I ordered the Turkey Pesto Crepe ($12.25), described as sliced turkey, mushrooms, tomatoes, provolone mozzarella cheese, and sun-dried tomato pesto. On paper, this sounded fantastic -- a combination that should have delivered distinct flavors and textures. Unfortunately, everything blended together into one uniform consistency, and the individual ingredients didn't stand out the way I had hoped. It wasn't inedible -- I just lost interest after a few bites because nothing felt memorable. My adventure buddy ordered the Sarma (Stuffed Cabbage) ($18.95), described as cabbage stuffed with beef, onions, and rice, served with potatoes (his choice instead of rice). Again, the ingredients sounded promising, but the overall experience landed in the "fine" category -- nothing wrong, but nothing particularly exciting either. The potatoes fell into the same space: acceptable, but lacking seasoning or personality that might elevate the dish. We paired dinner with Pepsi Zero ($2.25 each -- note for fellow Diet Pepsi fans, they don't carry it here). Total for the evening came to about $55 including tip. It may simply not be my flavor style, but I'm always glad to support local and try something new.

When I saw PA Bakery advertising mini King Cakes for Mardi Gras, I was genuinely thrilled. A…read morereasonably sized King Cake felt like a dream come true -- all the fun of the tradition without committing to feeding an entire village. I immediately pre-ordered two mini King Cakes at $5.50 each (total $11), already imagining the moment I'd get to gloat when I found the hidden baby! The mini King Cakes were actually quite generous in size. Easily enough for 3-4 people...although I personally demolished mine in one sitting and have zero regrets. Now for the part that caught me off guard. The plastic baby -- arguably the entire point of a traditional King Cake -- was perched on top instead of hidden inside. I was fully anticipating that moment of excitement that comes from discovering the baby mid-bite, because that's kind of the magic of a King Cake tradition. Without that element, what I ended up with felt more like a very festive brioche-style cinnamon roll wearing Mardi Gras colors than a King Cake. To be clear, it tasted good. The cake itself was soft without being dry, had plenty of cinnamon-esque filling without tipping into overly gooey territory, and was generously finished with frosting and sugary crystals. Flavor-wise, no complaints. But if you're marketing something specifically as a King Cake, the expectation is that the baby is hidden within. Otherwise, it changes the experience entirely. For food safety purposes, there are plenty of creative alternatives -- an edible marzipan baby, a clearly oversized non-choking-hazard version, sticker on the box, etc. -- but the surprise element is part of what makes a King Cake a King Cake. Overall, not a bad experience -- just not quite the Mardi Gras moment I was hoping for. Next year, I'll probably seek out a bakery that leans into the full King Cake tradition...because if I'm chasing the thrill of finding a tiny plastic baby in my dessert, I want to earn that victory properly. If the baby isn't going in the cake, just let me know up front so I can manage my expectations (and my Mardi Gras excitement) accordingly.

As someone who takes peanut butter desserts perhaps a little more seriously than the average human being, I immediately started making a list of the top contenders. Oak Grove Farms kept popping up, so when I found myself with a free rainy Saturday afternoon, it became time for an official Peanut Butter Pie Procurement Mission. Now, Oak Grove Farms offers way more than peanut butter pie. Their farm market is stocked with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, dairy products, locally made items and all kinds of other goodies. But this particular Yelp review? This mission? Laser-focused on peanut butter pie. Before leaving home, I called to make sure I wouldn't drive over only to discover they'd sold out. The nice lady who answered the phone happily confirmed they still had peanut butter pie available. Mission status: ON! When I arrived, I was actually surprised by how busy the farm market was despite the rainy weather. Apparently a little rain isn't enough to keep folks away from Oak Grove, which is always a good sign. I walked straight inside and made an immediate beeline for the refrigerated pie case. There were only two individual slices of peanut butter pie left, so I grabbed one before anyone else could beat me to it. They also had half and whole pies available, but let's try to exercise at least a little self-control on the first visit. The damage? A whopping $2.49 for a slice of peanut butter pie. I actually laughed. That's almost suspiciously affordable these days. As I was heading toward the register, I made the mistake of walking past the whoopie pies. Or perhaps the best decision of the day. Five minutes later, I was walking out with not only my peanut butter pie but also a Shoofly Whoopie Pie for another $2.50. My picnic dessert situation had officially escalated. Fast forward a few hours...dinner was over. It was dessert time. The peanut butter pie absolutely lived up to the hype! The filling was light and fluffy while still delivering a rich peanut butter flavor in every bite. I'm usually not the biggest fan of chocolate cookie crusts on peanut butter pie because I think they sometimes overpower the filling, but this one worked beautifully. Even the little dollops of whipped topping around the edge added just the right finishing touch. This one has officially earned a spot near the top of my Central PA peanut butter pie rankings! And then...the Shoofly Whoopie Pie. I honestly bought it because I'd never seen one before and curiosity got the better of me. And, I'm really glad it did! It was incredibly moist with a rich molasses flavor that came through beautifully without being overwhelming. It was unlike any whoopie pie I've had before, and easily one of my favorite varieties I've tried in quite a while. Mission accomplished! While Oak Grove Farms is clearly much more than just a destination for desserts, this peanut butter pie expedition was an overwhelming success. Next time I'll spend more time exploring everything else the market has to offer. But let's be honest...I'll probably leave with another slice o

Still a tasty treat. Wasn't sure if some wall art was strictly military honor or political statement however. Hopefully the prior. Despite any differences, good for small businesses not to ostracize potential customers (ie sales). A business displaying any direction they lean can dissuade many. So, we may be back if in that area and remember it. Worth a try for anyone who hadn't been yet. (May I suggest to this business, as I saw the owner/manager there, and to other small/mom n pop shops, that you get out to your customers as an owner/manager and talk to them. Make them feel welcome, like they are a special customer, part of your business, etc. It really works to pull in people and make them come back! A great great great marketing tool! Even if you're not a people person, say hello or welcome at the very least, and good bye/thank you for coming! Your food/product can be quite average and the interior not perfect, but making a customer feel really welcome is often the top key trick to their return again and again. In addition they be more likely to spread the word how much they like your business. It's the easiest, cheapest form of market too!)
