Their hot chocolate wasn't the greatest just OK but their donuts are the best around very fresh. Very good.

I got a large iced black coffee, a Boston cream, and a jelly donut.

Staff were also on top of things as they brought out drink refills before we needed them. My Wife got the stuffed French toast and she said it was delicious. The French toast was cooked really well and it was loaded a lot of cream cheese and fruit. When I asked my Wife if anything in particular stood out, she said it tasted like it was home made. I went with the baked oatmeal, which had coconut flakes, raisins, cinnamon, and had slices of banana and strawberries. I thought it was pretty tasty, but there are bottles of syrup on each table and drizzling some over it really hit the spot for me. This is definitely a spot that we'd go back to, especially since the is sizable. The menu offered a lot of other options, including crepes, and I feel confident that their other items would also be good.

I've been driving past Morning Fuel on the Carlisle Pike for the last few months. I'm a frequent…read moredriver out that way and every time I passed it, it always looked closed. So I wasn't sure if it was one of those businesses that kind of flopped and nothing had replaced it yet. Alas, I recently found out that it is, in fact, still open. And you know what they say: don't shop on an empty stomach. I was on my way to karns, and I concur. I decided to stop at Morning Fuel so I wouldn't make any hasty purchases while shopping. So I walk in, and the first thing I notice is the music. It's blaring early-2000s-ish rock music. Think Evanescence. Pseudo-angsty music, basically playing at the volume you'd expect in a club. The decor is like a really corny First Watch (live laugh love signage and pictures of measuring cups filled with grains) perhaps with little more edge. And there are straw wrappers and bits of food on the floor, kind of like the Texas Roadhouse peanut situation, except it's not peanuts. Shortly after I was seated, they swept the floor, so I'm assuming it wasn't intentional lol. So, yeah. First Watch on crack? Maybe? First watch's angsty step sibling? First Watch with obnoxiously loud music and a little harder of an edge. And honestly, First Watch and Morning Fuel are part of the same genre. You know what you're getting. And the genre is over priced diner. As far as the food goes, I got the stuffed French toast with blueberry drizzle, and it was really good. It did its job. Nothing spectacular, but a perfectly good breakfast. Overall, I'd say Morning Fuel is pretty average, but these places are kind of a genre unto themselves, and I can see why people like them. It was also a little cheaper than First Watch, which I like but don't really go to. This would not be a recurring haunt for me by any means, but I think it will be for some people. So if you like Evanescence and nu-metal more than you like the Jonas Brothers and other corny folky music, that's what they're playing at Morning Fuel. If you like black floors and a little less of a rustic vibe, that's what Morning Fuel is about. If you like the product that First Watch serves but don't necessarily like the First Watch vibe, you can go to Morning Fuel. Similar kind of product. Packaged differently. Maybe a little cheaper.

Idea Coffee is such a cute spot with great coffee options…read more We loved our seasonal sugar cookie latte, so much that we had it for two days in a row. The pricing is good, plus the service is nice and friendly. It's one of those spots that provides some variety in their coffee drinks and is worth going to! I cannot say enough good things about this coffee shop!!…read more The barista's were incredibly kind and helpful! They offered insight on good latte flavors and were knowledgeable about food allergies. The service gets 5 stars. The atmosphere is wonderful. It's an open and bright setting with lots of seating and windows. Most of the tables have "idea cards" which have thought provoking questions and conversation starters. They even have some board games available to play. The ambiance gets 5 stars. The food was PHENOMENAL! As someone who has dietary restrictions (gluten free, mostly dairy free, and mostly vegetarian), there were great options! They didn't have a ton of options, but they did have a vegan and gluten free breakfast burrito that was delicious and didn't even taste vegan or gluten free. My partner got a breakfast sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. They also had a couple options for gluten free pastries which is always appreciated. The food gets 5 stars. I have absolutely no complaints or recommendations. Idea Coffee gets 5 stars all around and I cannot wait to come back.
